40 luku

Herra kysyy, pitääkö Job itseään oikeutettuna kieltämään hänen vanhurskautensa, voiko hän pelkällä katsellaan kukistaa jumalattomat ja vallita sellaisia luontokappaleita, kuin ovat behemot ja leviatan.

1. Silloin Herra vastasi Jobille tuulispäästä ja sanoi:

6 Then Jehovah answered Job out of the whirlwind and said,

2. Vyötä nyt kupeesi kuin mies; minä kysyn sinulta, opeta sinä minua.

7 Gird up your loins now like a man. I will demand of you and declare you to me.

7. Gürte wie ein Mann deine Lenden; ich will dich fragen, lehre mich!

7. Cíñete ahora, como varón, tus lomos: yo te preguntaré, y házme saber.

7 (40:2) препояшь, как муж, чресла твои: Я буду спрашивать тебя, а ты объясняй Мне.

3. Sinäkö teet tyhjäksi minun oikeuteni, tuomitset minut syylliseksi, ollaksesi itse oikeassa?

8. (H 40:3) Pitäiskö sinun minun tuomioni tyhjäksi tekemän, ja minua vääräksi soimaaman, ettäs itse olisit hurskas?

8 Will you even annul my judgment? Will you condemn me, that you may be justified?

8. Wilt thou also disannul my judgment? wilt thou condemn me, that thou mayest be righteous?

8. Solltest du mein Urteil zunichte machen und mich verdammen, daß du gerecht seist?

8. ¿Invalidarás tú también mi juicio? ¿condenarme has a mi para justificarte a tí?

8 (40:3) Ты хочешь ниспровергнуть суд Мой, обвинить Меня, чтобы оправдатьсебя?

4. Tahi onko sinun käsivartesi niinkuin Jumalan, ja voitko korottaa äänesi jylinän niinkuin hän?

9. (H 40:4) Onko sinulla käsivarsi niinkuin Jumalalla? ja taidatkos yhdenkaltaisella äänellä jylistää hänen kanssansa.

4. Ongo sinulla käsiwarsi nijncuin Jumalalla ja taidatcos yhdencaltaisella änellä jylistä hänen cansans.

9 Or have you an arm like God? And can you thunder with a voice like him?

9. Hast thou an arm like God? or canst thou thunder with a voice like him?

9. Hast du einen Arm wie Gott, und kannst mit gleicher Stimme donnern, wie er tut?

9. ¿Tienes tú brazo como Dios? ¿y tronarás tú con voz como él?

9 (40:4) Такая ли у тебя мышца, как у Бога? И можешь ли возгреметь голосом, как Он?

5. Kaunistaudu kunnialla ja korkeudella, pukeudu loistoon ja kirkkauteen.

10. (H 40:5) Kaunista sinus suurella kunnialla ja korkeudella: pueta sinus kiitoksella ja kunnialla,

5. Caunista sinus coreudella corgota sinus pueta sinus kijtoxella ja cunnialla.

10 Deck yourself now with excellency and dignity and array yourself with honor and majesty.

10. Deck thyself now with majesty and excellency; and array thyself with glory and beauty.

10. Schmücke dich mit Pracht und erhebe dich; ziehe Majestät und Herrlichkeit an!

10. Ahora atavíate de magestad y de alteza, y vístete de honra y de hermosura.

10 (40:5) Укрась же себя величием и славою, облекись в блеск и великолепие;

6. Anna vihasi kiivastuksen purkautua, ja masenna katseellasi kaikki ylpeät.

11. (H 40:6) Hajoita sinun julmuutes viha, ja katso kaikkia ylpeitä ja nöyryytä heitä.

6. Heitä sinun julmudes wiha cadzo caickia ylpeitä ja nöyrytä heitä.

11 Pour forth the overflowing of your anger and look upon everyone who is proud and humble him.

11. Cast abroad the rage of thy wrath: and behold every one that is proud, and abase him.

11. Streue aus den Zorn deines Grimmes; schaue an die Hochmütigen, wo sie sind, und demütige sie!

11. Esparce furores de tu ira, y mira a todo soberbio, y abátele.

11 (40:6) излей ярость гнева твоего, посмотри на все гордое и смири его;

7. Nöyryytä katseellasi kaikki ylpeät, ja muserra jumalattomat siihen paikkaan.

12. (H 40:7) Katso kaikkia ylpeitä, ja alaspaina heitä, ja kukista jumalattomat paikastansa.

7. Ja cukista jumalattomat paicastans.

12 Look on everyone who is proud, (and) bring him low and tread down the wicked where they stand.

12. Ja, schaue die Hochmütigen, wo sie sind und beuge sie; und zermalme die Gottlosen, wo sie sind!

12. Mira a todo soberbio, y póstrale; y quebranta los impíos en su asiento.

12 (40:7) взгляни на всех высокомерных и унизь их, и сокруши нечестивых на местах их;

8. Kätke heidät tomuun kaikki tyynni, sulje heidän kasvonsa salaiseen kätköön.

13. (H 40:8) Hautaa heitä kaikkia maahan, ja upota heidän jaloutensa kätköön.

8. Hauta heitä caickia maahan ja upota heidän jaloudens kätköön.

13 Hide them in the dust together. Bind their faces in the hidden (place).

13. Verscharre sie miteinander in die Erde und versenke ihre Pracht ins Verborgene,

13. Encúbrelos a todos en el polvo; y ata sus rostros en oscuridad;

13 (40:8) зарой всех их в землю и лица их покрой тьмою.

9. Silloin minäkin ylistän sinua, kun oikea kätesi on hankkinut sinulle voiton.

14. (H 40:9) Niin minä tunnustan sinun oikian kätes auttavan sinua.

9. Nijn minä tunnustan sinun oikian kätes auttawan sinua.

14 Then I will also confess of you that your own right hand can save you.

14. Then will I also confess unto thee that thine own right hand can save thee.

14. so will ich dir auch bekennen, daß dir deine rechte Hand helfen kann.

14. Y yo también te confesaré, que tu diestra te salvará.

14 (40:9) Тогда и Я признаю, что десница твоя может спасать тебя.

10. Katso Behemotia, jonka minä loin niinkuin sinutkin; se syö ruohoa niinkuin raavas.

15. (H 40:10) Katso nyt Behemotia, jonka minä sinun vierees tehnyt olen, joka syö heiniä niinkuin härkä.

10. Cadzo Behemothi jonga minä wieres tehnyt olen joca syö heiniä nijncuin härkä.

15 Behold now behemoth {extremely large animal; possibly a dinosaur}, which I made as well as you. He eats grass as an ox.

15. Behold now behemoth, which I made with thee; he eateth grass as an ox.

15. Siehe da, den Behemoth, den ich neben dir gemacht habe; er frißt Gras wie ein Ochse.

15. He aquí ahora Behemot, al cual yo hice contigo; yerba come como buey.

15 (40:10) Вот бегемот, которого Я создал, как и тебя; он ест траву, как вол;

11. Katso, sen voima on lanteissa, sen väkevyys vatsalihaksissa.

16. (H 40:11) Katso, hänen väkensä on hänen kupeissansa, ja hänen voimansa hänen vatsansa navassa.

11. Cadzo hänen wäkens on hänen cupeisans ja hänen woimans wadzans nawasa.

16 Behold now, his strength is in his loins and his force is in the muscles of his belly.

16. Lo now, his strength is in his loins, and his force is in the navel of his belly.

16. Siehe seine Kraft ist in seinen Lenden und sein Vermögen in den Sehnen seines Bauches.

16. He aquí ahora que su fuerza está en sus lomos; y su fortaleza en el ombligo de su vientre:

16 (40:11) вот, его сила в чреслах его и крепость его в мускулах чрева его;

12. Se ojentaa jäykäksi häntänsä kuin setripuun, sen reisijänteet ovat lujiksi punotut.

17. (H 40:12) Hänen häntänsä ojentuu niinkuin sedripuu, ja hänen salaisen kalunsa suonet ovat niinkuin puun oksat.

12. Hänen händäns ojendu nijncuin Cedripuu ja hänen salaisencaluns suonet owat nijncuin puun oxat.

17 He moves his tail like a cedar. The muscles of his thighs are knit together.

17. He moveth his tail like a cedar: the sinews of his stones are wrapped together.

17. Sein Schwanz streckt sich wie eine Zeder; die Sehnen seiner Schenkel sind dicht geflochten.

17. Su cola mueve como un cedro; y los nervios de sus genitales son entretejidos:

17 (40:12) поворачивает хвостом своим, как кедром; жилы же на бедрах его переплетены;

13. Sen luut ovat niinkuin vaskiputket, sen nikamat niinkuin raudasta taotut.

18. (H 40:13) Hänen luunsa ovat vahvat niinkuin vaski, hänen ruotonsa niinkuin rautaiset seipäät.

18 His bones are (as) tubes of brass. His limbs are like bars of iron.

18. His bones are as strong pieces of brass; his bones are like bars of iron.

18. Seine Knochen sind wie eherne Röhren; seine Gebeine sind wie eiserne Stäbe.

18. Sus huesos son fuertes como acero, y sus miembros como barras de hierro:

18 (40:13) ноги у него, как медные трубы; кости у него, как железные прутья;

14. Se on Jumalan töiden esikoinen; sen luoja ojentaa sille miekan.

19. (H 40:14) Hän on alku Jumalan teistä; joka hänen tehnyt on, hän voittaa hänen miekallansa.

14. Hän on alcu Jumalan teistä joca hänen tehnyt on hän woitta hänen miecallans.

19 He is a beginning of the ways of God. He who made him gives him his sword.

19. He is the chief of the ways of God: he that made him can make his sword to approach unto him.

19. Er ist der Anfang der Wege Gottes; der ihn gemacht hat, der gab ihm sein Schwert.

19. Él es la cabeza de los caminos de Dios: el que le hizo le acercará de su espada.

19 (40:14) это – верх путей Божиих; только Сотворивший его может приблизить к нему меч Свой;

15. Sille kantavat satonsa vuoret, joilla kaikki metsän eläimet leikitsevät.

20. (H 40:15) Vuori kantaa hänelle ruohot; ja kaikki pedot leikitsevät siellä.

20 Surely the mountains bring him forth food, where all the beasts of the field play.

20. Ciertamente los montes llevan renuevo para él; y toda bestia del campo retoza allá.

20 (40:15) горы приносят ему пищу, и там все звери полевые играют;

16. Lootuspensaiden alla se makaa, ruovikon ja rämeen kätkössä.

21. (H 40:16) Hän makaa mielellänsä varjossa, lymyssä kaisloissa ja mudassa.

16. Hän maca mielelläns warjosa caisilois ja mudasa.

21 He lies under the lotus trees, in the covert of the reed and the fen.

21. He lieth under the shady trees, in the covert of the reed, and fens.

21. Er liegt gern im Schatten, im Rohr und im Schlamm verborgen.

21. Debajo de las sombras se echará, en lo oculto de las cañas, y de los lugares húmedos.

21 (40:16) он ложится под тенистыми деревьями, под кровом тростника и в болотах;

17. Lootuspensaat peittävät sen varjoonsa, puron pajut ympäröivät sitä.

22. (H 40:17) Pensas peittää hänen varjollansa, ja ojan halavat peittävät hänen.

22 The lotus trees cover him with their shade. The willows of the brook encompass him about.

22. The shady trees cover him with their shadow; the willows of the brook compass him about.

22. Das Gebüsch bedeckt ihn mit seinem Schatten, und die Bachweiden umgeben ihn.

22. Los árboles sombríos le cubren con su sombra; los sauces del arroyo le cercan.

22 (40:17) тенистые дерева покрывают его своею тенью; ивыпри ручьях окружают его;

18. Jos virta hätyyttää, ei se säikähdy, se on huoleton, kuohukoon vaikka itse Jordan sen kitaan.

23. (H 40:18) Katso, koska virta ylöttää häntä, niin ei hän pelkää: hän on rohkia, vaikka Jordan hänen suuhunsa asti kuohuis.

18. Cadzo hän laino wirran ja luule cuiwawans Jordanin suullans.

23 Behold, if a river overflows, he does not tremble. He is confident though a Jordan swell even to his mouth.

23. Behold, he drinketh up a river, and hasteth not: he trusteth that he can draw up Jordan into his mouth.

23. Siehe, er schluckt in sich den Strom und achtet's nicht groß; läßt sich dünken, er wolle den Jordan mit seinem Munde ausschöpfen.

23. He aquí que él robará el río que no corra; y confíase que el Jordán pasará por su boca.

23 (40:18) вот, он пьет из реки и не торопится; остаетсяспокоен, хотя бы Иордан устремился ко рту его.

19. Kukapa kävisi kiinni sen silmiin, lävistäisi heittoaseella sen turvan?

24. (H 40:19) Hän saavutetaan nähtensä, ja pauloilla pistetään hänen nenänsä lävitse.

24 Shall any take him when he is on the watch, or pierce through his nose with a snare?

24. He taketh it with his eyes: his nose pierceth through snares.

24. Fängt man ihn wohl vor seinen Augen und durchbohrt ihm mit Stricken seine Nase?

24. El le tomará por sus ojos en los tropezaderos, y le horadará la nariz.

24 (40:19) Возьмет ли кто его в глазах его и проколет ли ему нос багром?

20. Voitko onkia koukulla Leviatanin ja siimaan kietoa sen kielen?

1. (H 40:20) Taidatkos vetää Leviatanin ongella, ja sitoa hänen kielensä nuoralla?

20. TAidatcos wetä Lewiathanin ongella ja sito hänen kielens nuoralla?

1 Can you draw out leviathan with a fishhook, or press down his tongue with a cord?

1. Canst thou draw out leviathan with an hook? or his tongue with a cord which thou lettest down?

1. 40:25 Kannst du den Leviathan ziehen mit dem Haken und seine Zunge mit einer Schnur fassen?

1. ¿SACARÁS tú al Leviatán con el anzuelo; y con la cuerda que le echares en su lengua?

1 (40:20) Можешь ли ты удою вытащить левиафана и веревкою схватить заязык его?

21. Voitko kiinnittää kaislaköyden sen kuonoon ja väkäraudalla lävistää siltä posken?

2. (H 40:21) Taidatkos panna ongen hänen sierameensa, ja hänen leukaluunsa pistää naskalilla lävitse?

21. Taidatcos panna ongen hänen sieramijns ja hänen leucaluuns pistä nascalilla läpidze?

2 Can you put a rope into his nose, or pierce his jaw through with a hook?

2. Canst thou put an hook into his nose? or bore his jaw through with a thorn?

2. 40:26 Kannst du ihm eine Angel in die Nase legen und mit einem Stachel ihm die Backen durchbohren?

2. ¿Pondrás tú garfio en sus narices; y horadarás tú con espina su quijada?

2 (40:21) вденешь ли кольцо в ноздри его? проколешь ли иглою челюсть его?

22. Rukoileeko se sinua paljon, tahi puhutteleeko se sinua lempeästi?

3. (H 40:22) Luuletkos, että hän sinua paljon rukoilee, ja liehakoitsee sinun edessäs?

22. Luuletcos että hän sinua paljo rucoile ja liehacoidze sinun edesäs?

3 Will he make many supplications to you? Or will he speak soft words to you?

3. 40:27 Meinst du, er werde dir viel Flehens machen oder dir heucheln?

3. ¿Multiplicará él ruegos para contigo? ¿hablarte ha él a tí lisonjas?

3 (40:22) будет ли он много умолять тебя и будет ли говорить с тобою кротко?

23. Tekeekö se liiton sinun kanssasi, että saisit sen olemaan orjanasi ainaisesti?

4. (H 40:23) Luuletkos, että hän tekee liiton sinun kanssas, saadakses häntä alinomaiseksi orjakses?

4 Will he make a covenant with you, that you should take him for a servant everlasting?

4. Will he make a covenant with thee? wilt thou take him for a servant for ever?

4. 40:28 Meinst du, daß er einen Bund mit dir machen werde, daß du ihn immer zum Knecht habest?

4. ¿Hará concierto contigo para que le tomes por siervo perpetuo?

4 (40:23) сделает ли он договор с тобою, и возьмешь ли его навсегда себе в рабы?

24. Voitko leikkiä sillä niinkuin lintusella tahi sitoa sen tyttöjesi pidellä?

5. (H 40:24) Taidatkos leikitä hänen kanssansa niinkuin linnun kanssa, eli sitoa hänen sinun piikais sekaan?

5 Will you play with him as with a bird? Or will you bind him for your maidens?

5. Wilt thou play with him as with a bird? or wilt thou bind him for thy maidens?

5. 40:29 Kannst du mit ihm spielen wie mit einem Vogel oder ihn für deine Dirnen anbinden?

5. ¿Jugarás tú con él, como con pájaro? ¿y atarle has para tus niñas?

5 (40:24) станешь ли забавляться им, как птичкою, и свяжешь ли его для девочек твоих?

25. Hierovatko pyyntikunnat siitä kauppaa, jakavatko sen kauppamiesten kesken?

6. (H 40:25) Luuletkos hänen kumppaneilta leikattaman, jaettaa kauppamiehille.

25. Luuletcos hänen cumpaneilda leicattawan jaetta cauppamiehille.

6 Will the bands make traffic of him? Will they part him among the merchants?

6. Shall the companions make a banquet of him? shall they part him among the merchants?

6. 40:30 Meinst du die Genossen werden ihn zerschneiden, daß er unter die Kaufleute zerteilt wird?

6. ¿Harán banquete por causa de él los compañeros? ¿partirle han entre los mercaderes?

6 (40:25) будут ли продавать его товарищи ловли, разделят ли его между Хананейскими купцами?

26. Voitko iskeä sen nahan täyteen ahinkaita ja sen pään kala-ahraimia?

7. (H 40:26) Taidatkos täyttää koko verkkohuoneen hänen nahallansa, eli kalamiesten kokkoin hänen päällänsä.

26. Taidatcos täyttä coco wercon hänen nahallans eli wadan hänen päälläns.

7 Can you fill his skin with barbed irons, or his head with fish-spears?

7. 40:31 Kannst du mit Spießen füllen seine Haut und mit Fischerhaken seinen Kopf?

7. ¿Cortarás tú con cuchillo su cuero, y con francado de pescadores su cabeza?

7 (40:26) можешь ли пронзить кожу его копьем и голову его рыбачьею острогою?

27. Laskehan vain kätesi sen päälle, niin muistat sen ottelun; et sitä toiste yritä!

8. (H 40:27) Koska sinä häneen rupeet kädelläs, niin muista, ettäs tulet sotaan, josta et sinä mitään voita.

27. Coscas häneen rupet kädelläs nijn muista ettäs tulet sotaan josta et sinä mitän woita? Cadzo hänen toiwons pettä hänen ja cosca hän hänen näke mukelda hän pois.

8 Lay your hand upon him. Remember the battle and do so no more.

8. 40:32 Wenn du deine Hand an ihn legst, so gedenke, daß es ein Streit ist, den du nicht ausführen wirst.

8 (40:27) Клади на него руку твою, и помни о борьбе: вперед не будешь.

28. Katso, siinä toivo pettää; jo sen näkemisestä sortuu maahan.

9. (H 40:28) Katso, hänen toivonsa pettää hänen; sillä koska hän hänen näkee, mukeltaneeko hän pois?

9 Behold, the hope of him is in vain. Will not (a man) be cast down even at the sight of him?

9. 40:1 Siehe, die Hoffnung wird jedem fehlen; schon wenn er seiner ansichtig wird, stürzt er zu Boden.

9 (41:1) Надежда тщетна: не упадешь ли от одного взгляда его?
