4. Kuinka siis ihminen olisi vanhurskas Jumalan edessä, ja kuinka vaimosta syntynyt olisi puhdas?

4 How then can man be just with God? Or how can he be clean who is born of a woman?

4. Und wie kann ein Mensch gerecht vor Gott sein? und wie kann rein sein eines Weibes Kind?

5. Katso, eipä kuukaan ole kirkas, eivät tähdetkään ole puhtaat hänen silmissänsä;

5 Behold, even the moon has no brightness. And the stars are not pure in his sight.

5. Siehe, auch der Mond scheint nicht helle, und die Sterne sind nicht rein vor seinen Augen:

6. saati sitten ihminen, tuo mato, ja ihmislapsi, tuo toukka!

6 How much less man, who is a worm! And the son of man, who is a worm!
