Elihun kolmas puhe: Job on julkijumalaton ja kärsii ansaitsemansa rangaistusta; vielä kerran häntä kehoitetaan kääntymään ja nöyrtyen turvautumaan Jumalaan.

2 Can a man be profitable to God? Surely he who is wise is profitable to himself.

2. Can a man be profitable unto God, as he that is wise may be profitable unto himself?

2. Kann denn ein Mann Gottes etwas nützen? Nur sich selber nützt ein Kluger.

2. ¿Traerá el hombre provecho a Dios? porque el sabio a sí mismo aprovecha.

2 разве может человек доставлять пользу Богу? Разумный доставляет пользу себе самому.

3. Onko Kaikkivaltiaalla etua siitä, jos olet vanhurskas, tahi voittoa siitä, jos vaellat nuhteetonna?

3. Luuletkos Kaikkivaltiaalle kelpaavan, että sinus luet hurskaaksi? eli mitä se auttais, ehkä sinun ties olisivat ilman rikosta?

3. Luuletcos Caickiwaldialle kelpawan ettäs sinus luet hywäxi eli mitä se auttais händä ehkä sinun ties olisit ilman ricoxeta?

3 Is it any pleasure to the Almighty that you are righteous? Or is it gain (to him) that you make your ways perfect?

3. Meinst du, dem Allmächtigen liege daran, daß du gerecht seist? Was hilft's ihm, wenn deine Wege ohne Tadel sind?

3. ¿Tiene su contentamiento el Omnipotente en que tú seas justificado? ¿ o le viene algún provecho de que tú hagas perfectos tus caminos?

3 Что за удовольствие Вседержителю, что ты праведен? И будет ли Ему выгода от того, что ты содержишь пути твои в непорочности?

4. Jumalanpelostasiko hän sinua rankaisee ja käy kanssasi oikeutta?

4. Luuletkos, että hän pelkää sinua rangaista ja käydä oikeudelle kanssas?

4 Is it for your fear (of him) that he reproves you, that he enters with you into judgment?

5. Eikö pahuutesi ole suuri ja sinun pahat tekosi loppumattomat?

5. Eikö sinun pahuutes ole suuri? Ja sinun vääryydelläs ei ole loppua.

5. Ja sinun pahudes on sangen suuri ja sinun wäärydelläs ei ole loppua.

5 Is not your wickedness great? Neither is there any end to your iniquities.

5. Is not thy wickedness great? and thine iniquities infinite?

5. Nein, deine Bosheit ist zu groß, und deiner Missetaten ist kein Ende.

5. Por cierto tu malicia es grande: y tus maldades no tienen fin.

5 Верно, злоба твоя велика, и беззакониям твоим нет конца.

6. Sillä otithan veljiltäsi pantin syyttä ja riistit vaatteet alastomilta.

6 For you have taken pledges from your brother for nothing and stripped the naked of their clothing.

6. Du hast etwa deinem Bruder ein Pfand genommen ohne Ursache; du hast den Nackten die Kleider ausgezogen;

6. Porque prendaste a tus hermanos sin causa, e hiciste desnudar las ropas de los desnudos.

6 Верно, ты брал залоги от братьев твоих ни за что и с полунагих снимал одежду.

7. Et antanut nääntyvälle vettä juoda, ja nälkäiseltä kielsit leivän.

7. Et sinä ole antanut väsyneelle vettä juoda; sinä olet kieltänyt isoovaiselta leivän.

7 You have not given water to the weary to drink and you have withheld bread from the hungry.

7 Утомленному жаждою не подавал воды напиться и голодному отказывал в хлебе;

8. Kovakouraisen omaksi tuli maa, ja vain korkea-arvoinen sai siinä asua.

8. Mutta voimallinen sai omistaa maan, ja arvossa pidettävä sai siinä asua.

8. Sinä olet tehnyt wäkiwalda maacunnas ja sijnä asunut suures corkeudes.

8 But as for the mighty man, he had the land. And the honorable man, he dwelt in it.

9 You have sent widows away empty and the arms of the fatherless have been broken.

10 Therefore snares are all around you and sudden fear troubles you,

10. Darum bist du mit Stricken umgeben, und Furcht hat dich plötzlich erschreckt.

10. Por tanto hay lazos al derredor de tí, y te turba espanto repentino:

10 За то вокруг тебя петли, и возмутил тебя неожиданный ужас,

11. vai etkö näe pimeyttä? — ja vesitulva peittää sinut.

11. Eli pimeys, ettes näkisi; ja vedenpaljous on peittänyt sinun.

11. Eikö sinun pidäis näkemän pimeyttä ia wedenpaisumisen peittämän sinua?

11 or darkness, so that you cannot see and abundance of waters cover you.

11. Or darkness, that thou canst not see; and abundance of waters cover thee.

11. Solltest du denn nicht die Finsternis sehen und die Wasserflut, die dich bedeckt?

11. O tinieblas, porque no veas; y abundancia de agua te cubre.

11 или тьма, в которой ты ничего не видишь, и множество вод покрыло тебя.

12. Eikö Jumala ole korkea kuin taivas? Katso, kuinka korkealla on tähtien päälaki.

12. Eikö Jumala ole ylhäällä taivaissa? Ja katsos ylimmäisiä tähtiä, että ne korkiat ovat.

12. Cadzo Jumala on ylhällä taiwas ja näke tähdet corkeudes.

12 Is not God in the height of heaven? And behold the height of the stars, how high they are!

12. Ist nicht Gott hoch droben im Himmel? Siehe, die Sterne an droben in der Höhe!

12. ¿No está Dios en la altura de los cielos? Mira la altura de las estrellas como son altas.

13. Ja niin sinä sanot: 'Mitäpä Jumala tietää? Voiko hän tuomita synkkäin pilvien takaa?

13. Ja sinä sanot: mitä Jumala tietää? taitaneeko hän tuomita sitä, mikä pimeydessä on?

13 And you say, What does God know? Can he judge through the thick darkness?

13. And thou sayest, How doth God know? can he judge through the dark cloud?

13. Und du sprichst: "Was weiß Gott? Sollte er, was im Dunkeln ist, richten können?

13. ¿Dirás pues: Qué sabe Dios? ¿cómo juzgará por medio de la oscuridad?

13 И ты говоришь: что знает Бог? может ли Он судить сквозь мрак?

14. Pilvet ovat hänellä verhona, niin ettei hän näe; ja taivaanrannalla hän käyskentelee.

14. Pilvet peittävät hänen, ettei hän näe: hän vaeltaa taivaan ympäristöllä.

14 Thick clouds are a covering to him, so that he does not see and he walks on the vault of heaven.

14. Die Wolken sind die Vordecke, und er sieht nicht; er wandelt im Umkreis des Himmels."

14. Las nubes son su escondedero, y no ve: y por el cerco del cielo se pasea.

14 Облака – завеса Его, так что Он не видит, а ходит только по небесному кругу.

15. Tahdotko seurata iänikuista polkua, jota pahantekijät vaelsivat,

15. Tahdotkos tuta maailman polkuja, joita väärät ihmiset käyneet ovat?

15 Will you keep the old way which wicked men have trodden?

15. Achtest du wohl auf den Weg, darin vorzeiten die Ungerechten gegangen sind?

15. ¿Quieres tú guardar la senda antigua, que pisaron los varones perversos?

15 Неужели ты держишься пути древних, по которому шли люди беззаконные,

16. ne, jotka kukistettiin ennen aikojaan ja joiden perustuksen virta huuhtoi pois,

16. Jotka ennen aikaansa hukkuneet ovat, ja vesi on liottanut heidän perustuksensa.

16. Jotca ennen aicans huckunet owat ja wesi on liottanut heidän perustuxens.

16 Who were snatched away before their time, whose foundation was poured out as a stream,

16. Which were cut down out of time, whose foundation was overflown with a flood:

16. die vergangen sind, ehe denn es Zeit war, und das Wasser hat ihren Grund weggewaschen;

17. jotka sanoivat Jumalalle: 'Poistu meistä. Mitä voisi Kaikkivaltias meille tehdä?'

17. Ne jotka sanovat Jumalalle: mene meistä pois! mitä Kaikkivaltias taitais heidän tehdä.

17 who said to God, Depart from us, and What can the Almighty do for us?

17. Which said unto God, Depart from us: and what can the Almighty do for them?

17. die zu Gott sprachen: "Hebe dich von uns! was sollte der Allmächtige uns tun können?"

17. Que decían a Dios: Apártate de nosotros: ¿y qué nos ha de hacer el Omnipotente?

17 Они говорили Богу: отойди от нас! и что сделает им Вседержитель?

18. Ja kuitenkin hän oli täyttänyt heidän talonsa hyvyydellä. Mutta minusta on kaukana jumalattomain neuvo.

18. Vaikka hän on täyttänyt heidän huoneensa tavaralla; mutta jumalattomain neuvo olkoon kaukana minusta.

18 Yet he filled their houses with good things. But the counsel of the wicked is far from me.

19 The righteous see it and are glad. And the innocent laugh them to scorn,

19. Die Gerechten werden es sehen und sich freuen, und der Unschuldige wird ihrer spotten:

20. Totisesti, vastustajamme ovat hävinneet, ja mitä heistä jäi, kulutti tuli.'

20. Meidän varamme ei pidä hukkuman, vaan heidän tähteensä pitää tulen polttaman.

20 (saying), Surely those who rose up against us are cut off and the remnant of them, the fire has consumed.

20. Whereas our substance is not cut down, but the remnant of them the fire consumeth.

20 враг наш истреблен, а оставшееся после них пожрал огонь.

21. Tee siis sovinto ja elä rauhassa hänen kanssaan, niin saavutat onnen.

21. Niin sovi nyt hänen kanssansa, ja ole rauhallinen; siitä saat paljon hyvää.

21. Nijn sowi nyt hänen cansans ja ole rauhallinen sijtäs saat paljo hywä.

21 Acquaint now yourself with him and be at peace. By this good will come to you.

21. Acquaint now thyself with him, and be at peace: thereby good shall come unto thee.

21. So vertrage dich nun mit ihm und habe Frieden; daraus wird dir viel Gutes kommen.

21. Ahora pues conciértate con él, y tendrás paz, y por ello te vendrá bien.

21 Сблизься же с Ним – и будешь спокоен; чрез это придет к тебе добро.

22. Ota opetusta hänen suustaan ja kätke hänen sanansa sydämeesi.

22. Kuule lakia hänen suustansa, ja käsitä hänen puheensa sinun sydämees.

22. Cuule lakia hänen suustans ja käsitä hänen puhens sinun sydämees.

22 I beseech you, receive the law from his mouth and lay up his words in your heart.

22. Receive, I pray thee, the law from his mouth, and lay up his words in thine heart.

22. Höre das Gesetz von seinem Munde und fasse seine Reden in dein Herz.

22. Toma ahora la ley de su boca, y pon sus palabras en tu corazón.

22 Прими из уст Его закон и положи слова Его в сердце твое.

23. Kun palajat Kaikkivaltiaan tykö, niin tulet raketuksi, jos karkoitat vääryyden majastasi kauas,

23. Jos sinä käännät sinus Kaikkivaltiaan tykö, niin sinä rakennetaan, ja saatat vääryyden kauvas majastas.

23. Jos sinä käännät sinus Caickiwaldian tygö nijns raketan ja hyljät wääryden cauwas majastas.

23 If you return to the Almighty, you will be built up, you put away unrighteousness far from your tents.

23. If thou return to the Almighty, thou shalt be built up, thou shalt put away iniquity far from thy tabernacles.

23. Wirst du dich bekehren zu dem Allmächtigen, so wirst du aufgebaut werden. Tue nur Unrecht ferne hinweg von deiner Hütte

23. Si te tornares hasta el Omnipotente, serás edificado: alejarás de tu tienda la iniquidad.

23 Если ты обратишься к Вседержителю, то вновь устроишься, удалишь беззаконие от шатра твоего

24. viskaat kulta-aarteesi tomuun ja Oofirin kullan joen kivien joukkoon.

24. Niin sinä annat kullan mullasta, ja ojan kivistä kalliin kullan.

24. Nijns annat cullan mullasta ja kiwestä cullaiset ojat.

24 Then you will lay up gold as dust and (the gold of) Ophir as the stones of the brooks.

24. Then shalt thou lay up gold as dust, and the gold of Ophir as the stones of the brooks.

24. und wirf in den Staub dein Gold und zu den Steinen der Bäche das Ophirgold,

24. Y tendrás más oro que tierra, y como piedras de arroyos, oro de Ofir.

24 и будешь вменять в прах блестящий металл, и в камни потоков – золото Офирское.

25. Jos Kaikkivaltias tulee sinun kulta-aarteeksesi, sinun hopeaharkoiksesi,

25. Kaikkivaltias on sinun kultas, ja hopiaa pitää sinulla paljo oleman.

25. Caickiwaldias on sinun culdas ja hopiata pitä paljo oleman.

25 Yes, the Almighty will be your treasure and precious silver to you.

25. Yea, the Almighty shall be thy defence, and thou shalt have plenty of silver.

25. so wird der Allmächtige dein Gold sein und wie Silber, das dir zugehäuft wird.

25. Y tu oro será el Todopoderoso; y tendrás plata a montones.

25 И будет Вседержитель твоим золотом и блестящим серебром у тебя,

26. silloin on ilosi oleva Kaikkivaltiaassa, ja sinä nostat kasvosi Jumalan puoleen.

26. Silloin sinun ilos pitää oleman Kaikkivaltiaassa, ja nostaman kasvos Jumalan tykö.

26. Silloin sinun ilos pitä oleman Caickiwaldiasa ja nostaman caswos Jumalan tygö.

26 For then will you delight yourself in the Almighty and will lift up your face to God.

26. For then shalt thou have thy delight in the Almighty, and shalt lift up thy face unto God.

26. Dann wirst du Lust haben an dem Allmächtigen und dein Antlitz zu Gott aufheben.

26. Porque entónces te deleitarás en el Omnipotente, y alzarás a Dios tu rostro.

26 ибо тогда будешь радоваться о Вседержителе и поднимешь к Богу лице твое.

27. Kun rukoilet häntä, niin hän kuulee sinua, ja sinä saat täyttää lupauksesi.

27. Sinä rukoilet häntä, ja hän kuulee sinua, ja sinä maksat lupaukses.

27. Sinä rucoilet händä ja hän cuule sinua ja sinä maxat lupauxes.

27 You will make your prayer to him and he will hear you and you will pay your vows.

27. Thou shalt make thy prayer unto him, and he shall hear thee, and thou shalt pay thy vows.

27. So wirst du ihn bitten, und er wird dich hören, und wirst dein Gelübde bezahlen.

27. Orarás a él, y él te oirá, y pagarás tus votos.

27 Помолишься Ему, и Он услышит тебя, и ты исполнишь обеты твои.

28. Jos mitä päätät, niin se sinulle onnistuu, ja sinun teillesi loistaa valo.

28. Mitä aioit, sen hän antaa sinulle menestyä; ja valkeus paistaa sinun teilläs.

28. Mitäs aiwoit sen hän anda sinulle menestyä ja walkeus paista sinun teilläs.

28 You will also decree a thing and it will be established to you. And light will shine upon your ways.

28. Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.

28. Was du wirst vornehmen, wird er dir lassen gelingen; und das Licht wird auf deinem Wege scheinen.

28. Y determinarás la cosa, y serte ha firme, y sobre tus caminos resplandecerá luz.

28 Положишь намерение, и оно состоится у тебя, и над путями твоими будет сиять свет.

29. Jos tie painuu alaspäin, niin sinä sanot: 'Ylös!' ja hän auttaa nöyrtyväistä.

29. Sillä ne jotka itsensä nöyryyttävät, korottaa hän, ja se joka silmänsä painaa alas, vapautetaan.

29. Sillä ne cuin idzens nöyryttäwät corgotta hän ja se cuin silmäns paina alas wapautetan.

29 When they cast (you) down, you will say, (There is) lifting up and he will save the humble man.

29. When men are cast down, then thou shalt say, There is lifting up; and he shall save the humble person.

29. Denn die sich demütigen, die erhöht er; und wer seine Augen niederschlägt, der wird genesen.

29. Cuando los otros fueren abatidos, dirás tú: Ensalzamiento: y al humilde de ojos salvará.

29 Когда кто уничижен будет, ты скажешь: возвышение! иОн спасет поникшего лицем,

30. Hän pelastaa senkin, joka ei ole viaton; sinun kättesi puhtauden tähden hän pelastuu.

30. Sekin, joka ei viatoin ole, autetaan ja pelastetaan sinun kättes puhtauden tähden.

30. Wiatoin autetan ja pelastetan kättens puhtauden tähden.

30 He will deliver (even) him who is not innocent. Yes, he will be delivered through the cleanness of your hands.

30. He shall deliver the island of the innocent: and it is delivered by the pureness of thine hands.

30. Auch der nicht unschuldig war wird errettet werden; er wird aber errettet um deiner Hände Reinigkeit willen.

30. Un inocente escapará una isla: y en la limpieza de tus manos será guardada.

30 избавит и небезвинного, и он спасется чистотою рук твоих.
