1. Niin Israel asettui Sittimiin. Ja kansa rupesi irstailemaan Mooabin tyttärien kanssa.

3. Kun Israel näin antautui palvelemaan Baal-Peoria, syttyi Herran viha Israelia kohtaan.

3 And Israel joined himself to Baal-peor and the anger of Jehovah was kindled against Israel.

3. Und Israel hängte sich an den Baal-Peor. Da ergrimmte des HERRN Zorn über Israel,

3. Y allegóse el pueblo a Baal-pehor, y el furor de Jehová se encendió contra Israel.

3 И прилепился Израиль к Ваал-Фегору. И воспламенился гнев Господеньна Израиля.

4. Ja Herra sanoi Moosekselle: Ota kansan kaikki päämiehet ja lävistä heidät paaluihin Herralle, vasten aurinkoa, että Herran vihan hehku kääntyisi pois Israelista.

4 And Jehovah said to Moses, Take all the chiefs of the people and hang them up to Jehovah before the sun, that the fierce anger of Jehovah may turn away from Israel.

4. And the LORD said unto Moses, Take all the heads of the people, and hang them up before the LORD against the sun, that the fierce anger of the LORD may be turned away from Israel.

4. und er sprach zu Mose: nimm alle Obersten des Volks und hänge sie dem HERRN auf an der Sonne, auf daß der grimmige Zorn des HERRN von Israel gewandt werde.

4. Y Jehová dijo a Moisés: Toma todos los príncipes del pueblo, y ahórcalos a Jehová delante del sol, y la ira del furor de Jehová se apartará de Israel.

4 И сказал Господь Моисею: возьми всех начальников народа и повесь их Господу перед солнцем, и отвратится от Израиля ярость гнева Господня.

5. Niin Mooses sanoi Israelin tuomareille: Surmatkoon jokainen miehistään ne, jotka ovat antautuneet palvelemaan Baal-Peoria.

6. Und siehe, ein Mann aus den Kindern Israel kam und brachte unter seine Brüder eine Midianitin vor den Augen Mose's und der ganzen Gemeinde der Kinder Israel, die da weinten vor der Tür der Hütte des Stifts.

6. Entónces , he aquí, un varón de los hijos de Israel vino, y trajo una Madianita a sus hermanos a ojos de Moisés, y de toda la congregación de los hijos de Israel, llorando ellos a la puerta del tabernáculo del testimonio.

6 И вот, некто из сынов Израилевых пришел и привел к братьям своимМадианитянку, в глазах Моисея и в глазах всего общества сынов Израилевых, когда они плакали у входа скинии собрания.

8 и вошел вслед за Израильтянином в спальню и пронзил обоих их, Израильтянина и женщину в чрево ее: и прекратилось поражение сынов Израилевых.

14. Ja surmatun Israelin miehen nimi, sen, joka surmattiin midianilaisen naisen kanssa, oli Simri, simeonilaisen perhekunta-päämiehen Saalun poika.

15 And the name of the Midianite woman who was slain was Cozbi, the daughter of Zur. He was head of the people of a fathers' house in Midian.

17 Distress the Midianites and kill* them,

17. Vex the Midianites, and smite them:

17. Tut den Midianitern Schaden und schlagt sie;

17. Afligiréis a los Madianitas, y herirlos heis:

17 враждуйте с Мадианитянами, и поражайте их,

18. For they vex you with their wiles, wherewith they have beguiled you in the matter of Peor, and in the matter of Cozbi, the daughter of a prince of Midian, their sister, which was slain in the day of the plague for Peor's sake.

18. denn sie haben euch Schaden getan mit ihrer List, die sie wider euch geübt haben durch den Peor und durch ihre Schwester Kosbi, die Tochter des Fürsten der Midianiter, die erschlagen ist am Tag der Plage um des Peor willen.

18. Por cuanto ellos os afligieron a vosotros con sus engaños con que os han engañado en el negocio de Pehor, y en el negocio de Cozbi hija del príncipe de Madián su hermana, la cual fué muerta el día de la mortandad por causa de Pehor.

18 ибо они враждебно поступили с вами в коварстве своем, прельстив вас Фегором и Хазвою, дочерью начальника Мадиамского, сестрою своею, убитоюв день поражения за Фегора.
