Aradin kuningas voitetaan. Vaskikäärme. Israelilaiset valloittavat Jordanin itäpuolella amorilaisten alueen ja Baasanin.

1. Mutta kun Aradin kuningas, kanaanilainen, joka asui Etelämaassa, kuuli, että Israel oli tulossa Atarimin tietä, ryhtyi hän sotimaan Israelia vastaan ja otti muutamia heistä vangiksi.

1 And the Canaanite, the King of Arad, who dwelt in the South, heard tell that Israel came by the way of Atharim and he fought against Israel and took some of them captive.

1. And when king Arad the Canaanite, which dwelt in the south, heard tell that Israel came by the way of the spies; then he fought against Israel, and took some of them prisoners.

1. Und da die Kanaaniter, der König von Arad, der gegen Mittag wohnte, hörte, daß Israel hereinkommt durch den Weg der Kundschafter, stritt er wider Israel und führte etliche gefangen.

1. Y OYENDO el Cananeo, el rey de Arad, el cual habitaba al mediodía, que venía Israel por el camino de las centinelas, peleó con Israel, y tomó de él presa.

1 Ханаанский царь Арада, живущий к югу, услышав, что Израиль идет дорогою от Афарима, вступил в сражениес Израильтянами и несколько из них взял в плен.

2. Silloin Israel teki lupauksen Herralle ja sanoi: Jos sinä annat tämän kansan minun käsiini, niin minä vihin sen kaupungit tuhon omiksi.

2. Niin lupasi Israel Herralle lupauksen ja sanoi: jos sinä annat tämän kansan minun käteni alle, niin minä kiroon heidän kaupunkinsa.

2. Nijn lupais Israel HERralle lupauxen ja sanoi: jos sinä annat tämän Canssan minun käteni ala nijn minä kiron heidän Caupungins.

2 And Israel vowed a vow to Jehovah and said, If you will indeed deliver this people into my hand, then I will utterly destroy their cities.

2. And Israel vowed a vow unto the LORD, and said, If thou wilt indeed deliver this people into my hand, then I will utterly destroy their cities.

2. Da gelobte Israel dem HERRN ein Gelübde und sprach: Wenn du dies Volk unter Meine Hand gibst, so will ich ihre Städte verbannen.

2. Entónces Israel hizo voto a Jehová, y dijo: Si entregando entregares a este pueblo en mi mano, yo destruiré sus ciudades.

2 И дал Израиль обет Господу, и сказал: если предашь народ сей в руки мои, то положу заклятие на города их.

3. Ja Herra kuuli, mitä Israel lausui, ja jätti kanaanilaiset hänen käsiinsä. Niin Israel vihki heidät ja heidän kaupunkinsa tuhon omiksi. Ja sen paikan nimeksi pantiin Horma.

3. Ja Herra kuuli Israelin rukouksen: ja antoi heille Kanaanealaiset, ja he kirosivat heitä ja heidän kaupungeitansa. Ja kutsui sen paikan Horma.

3 And Jehovah listened to the voice of Israel and delivered up the Canaanites. And they utterly destroyed them and their cities. And the name of the place was called Hormah.

3. And the LORD hearkened to the voice of Israel, and delivered up the Canaanites; and they utterly destroyed them and their cities: and he called the name of the place Hormah.

3. Und der HERR erhörte die Stimme Israels und gab die Kanaaniter, und sie verbannten sie samt ihren Städten und hießen die Stätte Horma.

3. Y Jehová oyó la voz de Israel, y entregó al Cananeo, y destruyólos a ellos y a sus ciudades, y llamó el nombre de aquel lugar Jorma.

3 Господь услышал голос Израиля и предал Хананеев в руки ему, и онположил заклятие на них и на города их и нарек имя месту тому: Хорма.

4. Senjälkeen he lähtivät liikkeelle Hoorin vuorelta Kaislameren tietä kiertääksensä Edomin maan. Mutta matkalla kansa kävi kärsimättömäksi.

4. Sitte menivät he pois Horin vuoren tyköä, Punaisen meren tietä, vaeltamaan Edomilaisten maata ympäri. Ja kansa suuttui matkasta.

4. SIjtte menit he pois Horin wuoren tykö sitä tietä punaisen meren päin waeldaman Edomerein maata ymbärins. Ja Canssa suuttui matcast.

4 And they journeyed from Mount Hor by the way to the Red Sea, to encompass the land of Edom. And the soul of the people was much discouraged because of the way.

4. Da zogen sie von dem Berge Hor auf dem Wege gegen das Schilfmeer, daß sie um der Edomiter Land hinzögen. Und das Volk ward verdrossen auf dem Wege

4. Y partieron del monte de Hor camino del mar Bermejo, para rodear la tierra de Edom; y el alma del pueblo fué angustiada en el camino:

4 От горы Ор отправились они путем Чермного моря, чтобы миновать землю Едома. И стал малодушествовать народ на пути,

5. Ja kansa puhui Jumalaa ja Moosesta vastaan: Minkätähden te johdatitte meidät pois Egyptistä kuolemaan erämaahan? Eihän täällä ole leipää eikä vettä, ja me olemme kyllästyneet tähän huonoon ruokaan.

5. Ja kansa puhui Jumalaa ja Mosesta vastaan: miksi sinä toit meitä Egyptistä korpeen kuolemaan? Sillä ei tässä ole leipää eikä vettä, ja meidän sielumme suuttuu tähän huonoon ruokaan.

5 And the people spoke against God and against Moses, Why have you* brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? For there is no bread and there is no water and our soul loathes this light bread.

5. And the people spake against God, and against Moses, Wherefore have ye brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? for there is no bread, neither is there any water; and our soul loatheth this light bread.

5. und redete wider Gott und wider Mose: Warum hast du uns aus Ägypten geführt, daß wir sterben in der Wüste? Denn es ist kein Brot noch Wasser hier, und unsre Seele ekelt vor dieser mageren Speise.

5. Y habló el pueblo contra Dios, y Moisés: ¿Por qué nos hicisteis subir de Egipto para que muramos en este desierto? que ni hay pan, ni agua, y nuestra alma tiene fastidio de este pan tan liviano.

5 и говорил народ против Бога и против Моисея: зачем вывели вы нас из Египта, чтоб умереть нам в пустыне, ибо здесь нет ни хлеба, ни воды, и душе нашей опротивела эта негодная пища.

6. Silloin Herra lähetti kansan sekaan myrkkykäärmeitä, jotka purivat kansaa, niin että paljon kansaa Israelista kuoli.

6. Niin Herra lähetti kansan sekaan tuliset kärmeet, jotka kansaa purivat, niin että paljo kansaa Israelista kuoli.

6. Nijn HERra lähetti Canssan secaan tuliset kärmet jotca Canssa purit nijn että paljo Canssa israelist cuoli.

6 And Jehovah sent fiery serpents among the people and they bit the people and many people of Israel died.

6. And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.

6. Da sandte der HERR feurige Schlangen unter das Volk; die bissen das Volk, daß viel Volks in Israel starb.

6. Y Jehová envió en el pueblo serpientes ardientes, que mordían al pueblo, y murió mucho pueblo de Israel.

6 И послал Господь на народ ядовитых змеев, которые жалили народ, и умерло множество народа из сынов Израилевых.

7. Niin kansa tuli Mooseksen luo, ja he sanoivat: Me teimme syntiä, kun puhuimme Herraa ja sinua vastaan. Rukoile Herraa, että hän poistaa käärmeet meidän kimpustamme. Ja Mooses rukoili kansan puolesta.

7. Niin tuli kansa Moseksen tykö, ja sanoivat: me teimme syntiä, puhuen Herraa ja sinua vastaan. Rukoile Herraa nämät kärmeet meidän seastamme ottamaan pois: ja Moses rukoili kansan edestä.

7. Nijn tulit he Mosexen tygö ja sanoit: me syndiä teim puhuden sinua ja HERra wastan. Rucoile HERra nämät kärmet meidän seastam ottaman pois. Moses rucoili Canssan edest.

7 And the people came to Moses and said, We have sinned, because we have spoken against Jehovah and against you. Pray to Jehovah, that he take away the serpents from us. And Moses prayed for the people.

7. Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, We have sinned, for we have spoken against the LORD, and against thee; pray unto the LORD, that he take away the serpents from us. And Moses prayed for the people.

7. Da kamen sie zu Mose und sprachen: Wir haben gesündigt, daß wir wider dich geredet haben; bitte den HERRN, daß er die Schlangen von uns nehme. Mose bat für das Volk.

7. Entónces el pueblo vino a Moisés, y dijeron: Pecado habemos, por haber hablado contra Jehová y contra tí: ora a Jehová que quite de nosotros estas serpientes. Y Moisés oró por el pueblo.

7 И пришел народ к Моисею и сказал: согрешили мы, что говорили против Господа и против тебя; помолись Господу, чтоб Он удалил от нас змеев. И помолился Моисей о народе.

8. Silloin Herra sanoi Moosekselle: Tee itsellesi käärme ja pane se tangon päähän, niin jokainen purtu, joka siihen katsoo, jää eloon.

8. Niin sanoi Herra Mosekselle: tee sinulles tulinen kärme, ja nosta se merkiksi ylös: ja tapahtuu, että se joka purtu on, kuin hän katsoo sen päälle, niin hän elää.

8. Nijn sanoi HERra Mosexelle: tee sinulles kärme ja nosta se merkixi ylös: ja tapahtu että se joca purtu on ja cadzo sen päälle nijn hän elä.

8 And Jehovah said to Moses, You make a fiery serpent and set it upon a standard. And it will happen, that everyone who is bitten, when he sees it, will live.

8. And the LORD said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live.

8. Da sprach der HERR zu Mose: Mache dir eine eherne Schlange und richte sie zum Zeichen auf; wer gebissen ist und sieht sie an, der soll leben.

8. Y Jehová dijo a Moisés: Házte una serpiente ardiente, y pónla sobre la bandera: y será, que cualquiera que fuere mordido y mirare a ella, vivirá.

8 И сказал Господь Моисею: сделай себе змея и выставь его на знамя, и ужаленный, взглянув на него, останется жив.

9. Niin Mooses teki vaskikäärmeen ja pani sen tangon päähän; jos ketä käärmeet sitten purivat ja tämä katsoi vaskikäärmeeseen, niin hän jäi eloon.

9. Ja Moses teki vaskikärmeen, ja nosti sen merkiksi ylös: ja tapahtui, että jos joku kärmeeltä purtiin, ja katsahti vaskikärmeen päälle, niin hän jäi elämään.

9. Ja Moses teki waskikärmen ja nosti sen merkixi ylös että jos jocu kärmeildä purtin ja cadzatti sen waskikärmen päälle nijn hän jäi elämän.

9 And Moses made a serpent of brass and set it upon the standard. And it happened, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he looked to the serpent of brass, he lived.

9. And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it upon a pole, and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived.

9. Da machte Mose eine eherne Schlange und richtete sie auf zum Zeichen; und wenn jemanden eine Schlange biß, so sah er die eherne Schlange an und blieb leben.

9. Y Moisés hizo una serpiente de metal, y púsola sobre la bandera, y fué, que cuando alguna serpiente mordía a alguno, miraba a la serpiente de metal, y vivía.

9 И сделал Моисей медного змея и выставил его на знамя, и когда змей ужалил человека, он, взглянув на медного змея, оставался жив.

10. Sitten israelilaiset lähtivät liikkeelle ja leiriytyivät Oobotiin.

10. Ja Israelin lapset läksivät, ja sioittivat heitänsä Obotiin.

10. JA Israelin lapset läxit ja sioitit heidäns Obothijn.

10 And the sons of Israel journeyed and encamped in Oboth.

10. And the children of Israel set forward, and pitched in Oboth.

10. Und die Kinder Israel zogen aus und lagerten sich in Oboth.

10. Y partieron los hijos de Israel, y asentaron campo en Obot.

10 И отправились сыны Израилевы и остановились в Овофе;

11. Ja he lähtivät liikkeelle Oobotista ja leiriytyivät Iije-Abarimiin siinä erämaassa, joka on Mooabista itään, auringon nousun puolella.

11. Ja läksivät Obotista, ja sioittivat itsensä Abarimin mäen tykö, siihen korpeen, joka Moabin kohdalla on, auringon nousemiseen päin.

11. Ja läxit Obothist ja sioitit heidäns Jimijn Abarimin mäen tygö sijhen corpeen joca Moabin cohdalla on itän päin.

11 And they journeyed from Oboth and encamped at Iye-abarim {Ruins of Abarim}, in the wilderness which is before Moab, toward the sunrise.

11. And they journeyed from Oboth, and pitched at Ijeabarim, in the wilderness which is before Moab, toward the sunrising.

11. Und von Oboth zogen sie aus und lagerten sich in Ije-Abarim, in der Wüste Moab, gegenüber gegen der Sonne Aufgang.

11. Y partidos de Obot, asentaron en Je-abarim en el desierto que está delante de Moab al nacimiento del sol.

11 и отправились из Овофа и остановились в Ийе-Авариме, в пустыне, что против Моава, к восходу солнца;

12. Sieltä he lähtivät liikkeelle ja leiriytyivät Seredin laaksoon.

12. Sieltä läksivät he, ja sioittivat heitänsä Saredin ojan tykö.

12. Sieldä läxit he ja sioitit heidäns Saredin ojan tygö.

12 From there they journeyed and encamped in the valley of Zered.

12. From thence they removed, and pitched in the valley of Zared.

12. Und von da zogen sie und lagerten sich am Bach Sered.

12. Partidos de allí, asentaron al arroyo de Zared.

12 оттуда отправились, и остановились на долине Заред;

13. Sieltä he lähtivät liikkeelle ja leiriytyivät erämaahan tuolle puolelle Arnon-jokea, joka lähtee amorilaisten alueelta; sillä Arnon on Mooabin rajana Mooabin ja amorilaisten maan välillä.

13. Niin he sieltä menivät ulos, ja sioittivat heitänsä tälle puolen Arnonia, joka korvessa on, ja tulee Amorilaisten maan ääristä; sillä Arnon on Moabin ja Amorin välillä.

13. Nijn he sieldä menit ulos ja sioitit heidäns tälle puolen Arnonita joca corwes on ja tule Amorrerein maan ärist. Sillä Arnon on Moabin maan raja Moabin ja Amorin wälillä.

13 From there they journeyed and encamped on the other side of the Arnon, which is in the wilderness that comes out of the border of the Amorites, for the Arnon is the border of Moab, between Moab and the Amorites.

13. From thence they removed, and pitched on the other side of Arnon, which is in the wilderness that cometh out of the coasts of the Amorites: for Arnon is the border of Moab, between Moab and the Amorites.

13. Von da zogen sie und lagerten sich diesseits am Arnon, der in der Wüste ist und herauskommt von der Grenze der Amoriter; denn der Arnon ist die Grenze Moabs zwischen Moab und den Amoritern.

13. Y partidos de allí asentaron de la otra parte de Arnón, que es en el desierto, que sale del término del Amorreo: porque Arnón es término de Moab, entre Moab y el Amorreo.

13 отправившись отсюда, остановились у той части Арнона в пустыне, которая течет вне пределов Аморрея, ибо Арнон граница Моава, между Моавом и Аморреем.

14. Sentähden sanotaan Herran sotien kirjassa: Vaaheb Suufassa ja Arnonin laaksot

14. Siitä sanotaan Herran sotain kirjassa: Vaheb Suphassa , ja Arnonin ojat.

14. Sijtä sanotan HERran sotain kirjas: Wahebi Supha ja Arnonin oja.

14 Therefore it is said in the book of the Wars of Jehovah, Waheb in Suphah and the valleys of the Arnon,

14. Wherefore it is said in the book of the wars of the LORD, What he did in the Red sea, and in the brooks of Arnon,

14. Daher heißt es in dem Buch von den Kriegen des HERRN: "Das Vaheb in Supha und die Bäche Arnon

14. Por tanto es dicho en el libro de las batallas de Jehová: Lo que hizo en el mar Bermejo, y a los arroyos de Arnon;

14 Потому и сказано в книге браней Господних:

15. ja laaksojen rinteet, jotka ulottuvat Aarin tienoille ja kallistuvat Mooabin rajaan.

15. Ja sen ojan juoksu, joka poikkee Arin asumiseen, ja ulottuu Moabin rajaan.

15. Ja sen ojan lähde joca ulottu Arin asumiseen ja ulottu Moabiterein maan rajoin.

15 and the slope of the valleys that inclines toward the dwelling of Ar and leans upon the border of Moab.

15. And at the stream of the brooks that goeth down to the dwelling of Ar, and lieth upon the border of Moab.

15. und die Quelle der Bäche, welche reicht hinan bis zur Stadt Ar und lenkt sich und ist die Grenze Moabs."

15. Y la corriente de los arroyos que va a parar en Ar, y descansa en el término de Moab.

15 Вагеб в Суфе и потоки Арнона, и верховье потоков, которое склоняется к Шебет-Ару и прилегает к пределам Моава.

16. Ja sieltä he kulkivat Beeriin. Se oli se kaivo, josta Herra oli sanonut Moosekselle: Kokoa kansa, niin minä annan heille vettä.

16. Ja sieltä läksivät he Beraan , se on se kaivo, josta Herra sanoi Mosekselle: kokoa kansa, ja minä annan heille vettä.

16. Ja sieldä läxit he caiwolle se on se caiwo josta HERra sanoi Mosexelle: coco Canssa minä annan heille wettä.

16 And from there (they journeyed) to Beer. That is the well of which Jehovah said to Moses, Gather the people together and I will give them water.

16. And from thence they went to Beer: that is the well whereof the LORD spake unto Moses, Gather the people together, and I will give them water.

16. Und von da zogen sie zum Brunnen. Das ist der Brunnen, davon der HERR zu Mose sagte: Sammle das Volk, ich will ihnen Wasser geben.

16. Y de allí vinieron a Beer: este es el pozo del cual Jehová dijo a Moisés: Junta el pueblo, y darles he aguas.

16 Отсюда отправились к Беэр; это тот колодезь, о котором Господь сказал Моисею: собери народ, и дам им воды.

17. Silloin lauloi Israel tämän laulun: Kuohu, kaivo! — laulakaa sille laulu —

17. Silloin veisasi Israel tämän virren: Nouse, kaivo, veisatkaat hänestä toinen toisellenne.

17. Silloin weisais Israel tämän wirren: Nouse caiwo weisatca hänelle.

17 Then Israel sang this song: Spring up, O well. Sing to it,

17. Then Israel sang this song, Spring up, O well; sing ye unto it:

17. Da sang Israel das Lied: "Brunnen, steige auf! Singet von ihm!

17. Entónces Israel cantó esta canción: Sube oh pozo; cantád a él:

17 Тогда воспел Израиль песнь сию: наполняйся, колодезь, пойте ему;

18. kaivo, jonka ruhtinaat kaivoivat, kansan parhaat koversivat valtikallaan, sauvoillansa! Ja siitä erämaasta he kulkivat Mattanaan

18. Tämä on se kaivo, jonka päämiehet kaivoivat, kansan johdattajat kaivoivat, lain opettajan kautta sauvallansa. Tästä korvesta matkustivat he Mattanaan.

18. Tämä on se caiwo jonga päämiehet caiwoit ja jonga Canssan Ruhtinat caiwoit opettajain ja heidän sauwains cautta. Tästä corwesta matcustit he Mathanaan.

18 the well, which the rulers dug, which the nobles of the people dug, with the scepter, (and) with their staves. And from the wilderness (they journeyed) to Mattanah,

18. The princes digged the well, the nobles of the people digged it, by the direction of the lawgiver, with their staves. And from the wilderness they went to Mattanah:

18. Das ist der Brunnen, den die Fürsten gegraben haben; die Edlen im Volk haben ihn gegraben mit dem Zepter, mit ihren Stäben." Und von dieser Wüste zogen sie gen Matthana;

18. Pozo, el cual cavaron los señores: caváronlo los príncipes del pueblo, y el legislador, con sus bordones. Y del desierto vinieron a Matana;

18 колодезь, который выкопали князья, вырыли вожди народа с законодателем жезлами своими. Из пустыни отправились в Матанну,

19. ja Mattanasta Nahalieliin ja Nahalielista Baamotiin

19. Ja Mattanasta niin Nahalieliin, Ja Nahalielistä niin Bamotiin,

19. Ja Mathanast nijn Nahalielijn: ja Nahalielist nijn Bamotthijn.

19 and from Mattanah to Nahaliel and from Nahaliel to Bamoth,

19. And from Mattanah to Nahaliel: and from Nahaliel to Bamoth:

19. und von Matthana gen Nahaliel; und von Nahaliel gen Bamoth;

19. Y de Matana a Nahaliel; y de Nahaliel a Bamot;

19 из Матанны в Нагалиил, из Нагалиила в Вамоф,

20. ja Baamotista siihen laaksoon, joka on Mooabin maassa, Pisgan huipun juurella, joka kohoaa yli erämaan.

20. Ja Bamotista siihen laaksoon, joka on Moabin kedolla, Pisgan kukkulaa kohden, joka katsahtaa korpeen päin.

20. Ja Bamothist nijn sijhen laxoon joca on Moabiterein maalla sen corkean wuoren tykönä Pisga joca cadzatta corpen päin.

20 and from Bamoth to the valley which is in the field of Moab, to the top of Pisgah, which looks down upon the desert.

20. And from Bamoth in the valley, that is in the country of Moab, to the top of Pisgah, which looketh toward Jeshimon.

20. und von Bamoth in das Tal, das im Felde Moabs liegt, zu dem hohen Berge Pisgas, der gegen die Wüste sieht.

20. Y de Bamot al valle que está en los campos de Moab, y a la cumbre de Fasga, y a la vista de Jesimón.

20 из Вамофа в Гай, который в земле Моава, на вершине горы Фасги, обращенной лицем к пустыне.

21. Ja Israel lähetti sanansaattajat Siihonin, amorilaisten kuninkaan, tykö sanomaan:

21 And Israel sent messengers to Sihon King of the Amorites, saying,

21. And Israel sent messengers unto Sihon king of the Amorites, saying,

21. Und Israel sandte Boten zu Sihon, dem König der Amoriter, und ließ ihm sagen:

21. Y envió Israel embajadores a Sejón, rey de los Amorreos, diciendo:

21 И послал Израиль послов к Сигону, царю Аморрейскому, чтобы сказать:

22. Salli minun kulkea maasi läpi. Me emme poikkea pelloille emmekä viinitarhoihin emmekä juo vettä kaivoista. Valtatietä me kuljemme, kunnes olemme päässeet sinun alueesi läpi.

22. Salli minun vaeltaa maakuntas lävitse: emme poikkee peltoihin, emmekä viinamäkiin, emmekä juo vettä kaivosta; maantietä myöten me vaellamme, siihenasti kuin me tulemme sinun maas ääristä ulos.

22. Salli minun waelda sinun maacundas läpidze en minä poicke sinun peldoijs engä wijnamäkijs engä me myös juo wettä sinun caiwostas maantietä myöden me waellam sijhenasti cuin me tulem sinun maas äristä ulos.

22 Let me pass through your land. We will not turn aside into field, or into vineyard. We will not drink of the water of the wells. We will go by the king's highway, until we have passed your border.

22. Let me pass through thy land: we will not turn into the fields, or into the vineyards; we will not drink of the waters of the well: but we will go along by the king's high way, until we be past thy borders.

22. Laß mich durch dein Land ziehen. Wir wollen nicht weichen in die Äcker noch in die Weingärten, wollen auch Brunnenwasser nicht trinken; die Landstraße wollen wir ziehen, bis wir durch deine Grenze kommen.

22. Pasaré por tu tierra, no nos apartaremos por los labrados, ni por las viñas: no beberemos las aguas de los pozos, por el camino real iremos, hasta que pasemos tu término.

22 позволь мне пройти землею твоею; не будем заходить в поля и виноградники, не будем пить воды из колодезей твоих , а пойдем путем царским, доколе не перейдем пределов твоих.

23. Mutta Siihon ei sallinut Israelin kulkea alueensa läpi, vaan kokosi kaiken väkensä ja lähti Israelia vastaan erämaahan. Ja kun hän oli tullut Jahaaseen, ryhtyi hän taisteluun Israelia vastaan.

23 And Sihon would not allow Israel to pass through his border, but Sihon gathered all his people together and went out against Israel into the wilderness and came to Jahaz and he fought against Israel.

23. And Sihon would not suffer Israel to pass through his border: but Sihon gathered all his people together, and went out against Israel into the wilderness: and he came to Jahaz, and fought against Israel.

23. Aber Sihon gestattete den Kindern Israel nicht den Zug durch sein Gebiet, sondern sammelte all sein Volk und zog aus, Israel entgegen in die Wüste; und als er gen Jahza kam, stritt er wider Israel.

23. Mas Sejón no dejó pasar a Israel por su término: ántes juntó Sejón todo su pueblo, y salió contra Israel en el desierto: y vino a Jasa, y peleó contra Israel.

23 Но Сигон не позволил Израилю идти через свои пределы; и собрал Сигон весь народ свой и выступил против Израиля в пустыню, и дошел до Иаацы, и сразился с Израилем.

24. Mutta Israel voitti hänet miekan terällä ja valloitti hänen maansa Arnonista Jabbokiin, aina ammonilaisten maahan asti, sillä ammonilaisten raja oli varustettu.

24 And Israel killed* him with the edge of the sword and possessed his land from the Arnon to the Jabbok, even to the sons of Ammon, for the border of the sons of Ammon was strong.

24. Israel aber schlug ihn mit der Schärfe des Schwerts und nahm sein Land ein vom Arnon an bis an den Jabbok und bis an die Kinder Ammon; denn die Grenzen der Kinder Ammon waren fest.

26. Sillä Hesbon oli amorilaisten kuninkaan Siihonin kaupunki; hän oli näet käynyt sotaa entistä Mooabin kuningasta vastaan sekä vallannut häneltä kaiken hänen maansa Arnoniin asti.

26 For Heshbon was the city of Sihon the King of the Amorites, who had fought against the former King of Moab and had taken all his land out of his hand, even to the Arnon.

26. Denn Hesbon war die Stadt Sihons, des Königs der Amoriter, und er hatte zuvor mit dem König der Moabiter gestritten und ihm all sein Land abgewonnen bis zum Arnon.

26. Porque Jesebón era la ciudad de Sejón rey de los Amorreos: el cual había tenido guerra ántes con el rey de Moab, y había tomado toda su tierra de su poder hasta Arnón.

26 ибо Есевон был город Сигона, царя Аморрейского, и он воевал с прежним царем Моавитским и взял из руки его всю землю его до Арнона.

27. Sentähden runosepät sanovat: Tulkaa Hesboniin! Rakennettakoon ja varustettakoon Siihonin kaupunki.

27. Siitä sananlaskussa sanotaan: tulkaat Hesboniin: rakennettakoon ja valmistettakoon Sihonin kaupunki;

27 Therefore those who speak in proverbs say, Come you* to Heshbon. Let the city of Sihon be built and established.

28 For a fire has gone out of Heshbon, a flame from the city of Sihon. It has devoured Ar of Moab, the lords of the high places of the Arnon.

28. denn Feuer ist aus Hesbon gefahren, eine Flamme von der Stadt Sihons, die hat gefressen Ar der Moabiter und die Bürger der Höhen am Arnon.

28. Que fuego salió de Jesebón, y llama de la ciudad de Sejón, y consumió a Ar de Moab, a los señores de los altos de Arnón.

28 ибо огонь вышел из Есевона, пламень из города Сигонова, и пожрал Ар-Моав и владеющих высотами Арнона.

29. Voi sinua, Mooab! Sinä hukuit, Kemoksen kansa! Poikiensa hän salli tulla pakolaisiksi, tytärtensä amorilaisten kuninkaan Siihonin vangeiksi.

29. Voi sinuas Moab! sinä Kamosin kansa olet hukkunut! Hän saatti poikansa pakolaiseksi ja hänen tyttärensä vangiksi, Sihonille Amorilaisten kuninkaalle.

29 Горе тебе, Моав! погиб ты, народ Хамоса! Разбежались сыновья его, идочери его сделались пленницами Аморрейского царя Сигона;

30. Me ammuimme heidät, Hesbon kukistui Diibonia myöten; me hävitimme Noofahiin asti, aina Meedebaan saakka.

30. Me olemme heitä ampuneet, Hesbon on kukistettu Diboniin asti: me hävitimme heitä hamaan Nophaan, joka Medebaan ulottuu.

32 And Moses sent to spy out Jazer. And they took the towns of it and drove out the Amorites that were there.

32 И послал Моисей высмотреть Иазер, и взяли селения, зависящие от него, и прогнали Аморреев, которые в них были.

33. Sitten he kääntyivät toisaalle ja kulkivat Baasanin tietä. Silloin lähti Oog, Baasanin kuningas, heitä vastaan, hän ja kaikki hänen väkensä, Edreihin taistelemaan.

33. Ja he palasivat ja menivät ylöspäin tietä Basaniin. Niin Og, Basanin kuningas, meni heitä vastaan, hän ja kaikki hänen väkensä, sotimaan Edreissä.

33 И поворотили и пошли к Васану. И выступил против них Ог, царь Васанский, сам и весь народ его, на сражение к Едреи.

34. Mutta Herra sanoi Moosekselle: Älä pelkää häntä, sillä minä annan sinun käteesi hänet ja kaiken hänen kansansa ja maansa. Ja tee hänelle, niinkuin teit Siihonille, amorilaisten kuninkaalle, joka asui Hesbonissa.

34 And Jehovah said to Moses, Fear him not, for I have delivered him into your hand and all his people and his land. And you will do to him as you did to Sihon King of the Amorites, who dwelt at Heshbon.

34. And the LORD said unto Moses, Fear him not: for I have delivered him into thy hand, and all his people, and his land; and thou shalt do to him as thou didst unto Sihon king of the Amorites, which dwelt at Heshbon.

34. Und der HERR sprach zu Mose: Fürchte dich nicht vor ihm; denn ich habe ihn in deine Hand gegeben mit Land und Leuten, und du sollst mit ihm tun, wie du mit Sihon, dem König der Amoriter, getan hast, der zu Hesbon wohnte.

34. Entónces Jehová dijo a Moisés: No le tengas miedo; que en tu mano le he dado, a él y a todo su pueblo, y a su tierra; y harás de él, como hiciste de Sejón rey de los Amorreos, que habitaba en Jezebón.

34 И сказал Господь Моисею: не бойся его, ибо Я предам его и весь народ его и всю землю его в руки твои, и поступишь с ним, как поступил с Сигоном, царем Аморрейским, который жил в Есевоне.

35. Ja he voittivat hänet ja hänen poikansa ja kaiken hänen väkensä, päästämättä pakoon ainoatakaan. Niin he valloittivat hänen maansa.

35. Und sie schlugen ihn und seine Söhne und all sein Volk, bis daß keiner übrigblieb, und nahmen das Land ein.
