10 luku

Ammonilaiset häpäisevät Daavidin lähettiläät. Daavid voittaa ammonilaiset ja heidän liittolaisensa aramilaiset.

1. Senjälkeen ammonilaisten kuningas kuoli, ja hänen poikansa Haanun tuli kuninkaaksi hänen sijaansa.

1. Und es begab sich darnach, daß der König der Kinder Ammon starb, und sein Sohn Hanun ward König an seiner Statt.

1. DESPUÉS de esto aconteció, que murió el rey de los hijos de Ammón, y reinó por él Hanón su hijo.

1 Спустя несколько времени умер царь Аммонитский, и воцарился вместонего сын его Аннон.

2. Niin Daavid sanoi: Minä osoitan laupeutta Haanunille, Naahaan pojalle, niinkuin hänen isänsä osoitti laupeutta minulle. Ja Daavid lähetti palvelijoitaan lohduttamaan häntä hänen isänsä kuoleman johdosta. Kun Daavidin palvelijat tulivat ammonilaisten maahan,

2. Niin sanoi David: minä teen laupiuden Hanunin, Nahaksen pojan kanssa, niinkuin hänen isänsä teki laupiuden minun kanssani; ja lähetti palveliansa lohduttamaan häntä hänen isänsä tähden. Kuin Davidin palvelijat tulivat Ammonin lasten maahan,

2 And David said, I will show kindness to Hanun the son of Nahash, as his father showed kindness to me. So David sent by his servants to comfort him concerning his father. And David's servants came into the land of the sons of Ammon.

2. Then said David, I will shew kindness unto Hanun the son of Nahash, as his father shewed kindness unto me. And David sent to comfort him by the hand of his servants for his father. And David's servants came into the land of the children of Ammon.

2. Da sprach David: Ich will Barmherzigkeit tun an Hanun, dem Sohn Nahas, wie sein Vater an mir Barmherzigkeit getan hat. Und sandte hin und ließ ihn trösten durch seine Knechte über seinen Vater. Da nun die Knechte Davids ins Land der Kinder Ammon kamen,

2. Y dijo David: Yo haré misericordia con Hanón, hijo de Naas, como su padre la hizo conmigo. Y David envió sus siervos a consolarle por su padre. Y venidos los siervos de David a la tierra de los hijos de Ammón,

2 И сказал Давид: окажу я милость Аннону, сыну Наасову, за благодеяние, которое оказал мне отец его. И послал Давид слуг своих утешить Аннона об отце его. И пришли слуги Давидовы в землю Аммонитскую.

3. sanoivat ammonilaisten päämiehet herrallensa Haanunille: Luuletko sinä, että Daavid tahtoo kunnioittaa sinun isääsi, kun hän lähettää lohduttajia sinun luoksesi? Varmasti on Daavid lähettänyt palvelijansa sinun luoksesi tutkimaan kaupunkia ja vakoilemaan ja hävittämään sitä.

3. Niin sanoivat Ammonin lasten ylimmäiset herrallensa Hanunille: luuletkos Davidin kunnioittavan sinun isääs sinun silmäis edessä, että hän on lähettänyt lohduttajat sinun tykös? Etkös luule hänen lähettäneen palvelioitansa kaupunkia tutkistelemaan ja vakoomaan ja hävittämään?

3. 3 But the rulers of the sons of Ammon said to Hanun their lord, Think you that David honors your father, in that he has sent comforters to you? Has not David sent his servants to you to search the city and to spy it out and to overthrow it?

3. And the princes of the children of Ammon said unto Hanun their lord, Thinkest thou that David doth honour thy father, that he hath sent comforters unto thee? hath not David rather sent his servants unto thee, to search the city, and to spy it out, and to overthrow it?

3. sprachen die Gewaltigen der Kinder Ammon zu ihrem Herrn, Hanun: Meinst du, daß David deinen Vater ehren wolle, daß er Tröster zu dir gesandt hat? Meinst du nicht, daß er darum hat seine Knechte zu dir gesandt, daß er die Stadt erforsche und erkunde und umkehre?

3. Los príncipes de los hijos de Ammón dijeron a Hanón su señor: ¿Honra David a tu padre a tu parecer, que te ha enviado consoladores? ¿No ha enviado David sus siervos a tí por reconocer y considerar la ciudad, para destruirla?

3 Но князья Аммонитские сказали Аннону, господину своему: неужели ты думаешь, что Давид из уважения к отцу твоему прислал к тебе утешителей? не для того ли, чтобы осмотреть город и высмотреть в нем и после разрушить его, прислал Давид слуг своих к тебе?

4. Niin Haanun otatti kiinni Daavidin palvelijat, ajatti toisen puolen heidän partaansa ja leikkautti toisen puolen heidän vaatteistaan, peräpuolia myöten, ja päästi heidät sitten menemään.

4 So Hanun took David's servants and shaved off the one half of their beards and cut off their garments in the middle, even to their buttocks and sent them away.

4. Entónces Hanón tomó los siervos de David, y rapóles la media barba, y cortóles los vestidos por la mitad hasta las nalgas, y los envió.

4 И взял Аннон слуг Давидовых, и обрил каждому из них половину бороды, и обрезал одежды их наполовину, до чресл, и отпустил их.

5. Ja kun se ilmoitettiin Daavidille, lähetti hän sanan heitä vastaan, sillä miehiä oli pahasti häväisty. Ja kuningas käski sanoa: Jääkää Jerikoon, kunnes partanne on kasvanut, ja tulkaa sitten takaisin.

5 When they told it to David, he sent to meet them, for the men were greatly ashamed. And the king said, Abide at Jericho until your* beards be grown and then return.

5. When they told it unto David, he sent to meet them, because the men were greatly ashamed: and the king said, Tarry at Jericho until your beards be grown, and then return.

5. Da das David ward angesagt, sandte er ihnen entgegen; denn die Männer waren sehr geschändet. Und der König ließ ihnen sagen: Bleibt zu Jericho, bis euer Bart gewachsen; so kommt dann wieder.

5. Lo cual como fué hecho saber a David, envió delante de ellos, porque ellos estaban grandemente avergonzados, y dijo el rey: Estáos en Jericó, hasta que os torne a nacer la barba, y entónces volveréis.

5 Когда донесли об этом Давиду, то он послал к ним навстречу, так как они были очень обесчещены. И велел царь сказать им: оставайтесь в Иерихоне, пока отрастут бороды ваши, и тогда возвратитесь.

6 And when the sons of Ammon saw that they stunk to David, the sons of Ammon sent and hired the Syrians of Beth-rehob and the Syrians of Zobah, twenty thousand footmen and the king of Maacah with a thousand men and the men of Tob twelve thousand men.

6. And when the children of Ammon saw that they stank before David, the children of Ammon sent and hired the Syrians of Bethrehob, and the Syrians of Zoba, twenty thousand footmen, and of king Maacah a thousand men, and of Ishtob twelve thousand men.

6. Da aber die Kinder Ammon sahen, daß sie vor David stinkend geworden waren, sandten sie hin und dingten die Syrer des Hauses Rehob und die Syrer zu Zoba, zwanzigtausend Mann Fußvolk, und von dem König Maachas tausend Mann und von Is-Tob zwölftausend Mann.

6. Y viendo los hijos de Ammón que se habían hecho odiosos con David, enviaron los hijos de Ammón, y dieron sueldo a los Siros de la casa de Roob, y a los Siros de Soba, veinte mil hombres de a pié, y del rey de Maaca mil hombres, y de Is-tob doce mil hombres.

6 И увидели Аммонитяне, что они сделались ненавистными для Давида; и послали Аммонитяне нанять Сирийцев из Беф-Рехова и Сирийцев Сувы двадцать тысяч пеших, у царя Маахи тысячу человек и из Истова двенадцать тысяч человек.

7. Kun Daavid sen kuuli, lähetti hän Jooabin ja koko sotajoukon, kaikki urhot.

7 And when David heard of it, he sent Joab and all the army of the mighty men.

7. Da das David hörte, sandte er Joab mit dem ganzen Heer der Kriegsleute.

7. Lo cual como David oyó, envió a Joab con todo el ejército de los valientes.

7 Когда услышал об этом Давид, то послал Иоава со всем войском храбрых.

8. Niin ammonilaiset lähtivät ja asettuivat sotarintaan portin oven edustalle, mutta Sooban ja Rehobin aramilaiset ja Toobin ja Maakan miehet olivat eri joukkona kedolla.

8. Ja Ammonin lapset läksivät ja sääsivät sodan kaupungin portin eteen. Mutta Syrialaiset Zobasta, Rehobista, Istobista ja Maakasta olivat erinänsä kedolla.

8 And the sons of Ammon came out and put the battle in array at the entrance of the gate. And the Syrians of Zobah and of Rehob and the men of Tob and Maacah, were by themselves in the field.

8. And the children of Ammon came out, and put the battle in array at the entering in of the gate: and the Syrians of Zoba, and of Rehob, and Ishtob, and Maacah, were by themselves in the field.

8. Und die Kinder Ammon zogen aus und rüsteten sich zum Streit vor dem Eingang des Tors. Die Syrer aber von Zoba, von Rehob, von Is-Tob und von Maacha waren allein im Felde.

8. Y saliendo los hijos de Ammón, ordenaron sus escuadrones a la entrada de la puerta; mas los Siros de Soba, y de Roob, y de Is-tob, y de Maaca ordenaron por sí en el campo.

8 И вышли Аммонитяне и расположились к сражению у ворот, а Сирийцы Сувы и Рехова, и Истова, и Маахи, стали отдельно в поле.

9. Kun Jooab näki, että häntä uhkasi hyökkäys edestä ja takaa, valitsi hän miehiä kaikista Israelin valiomiehistä ja asettui sotarintaan aramilaisia vastaan.

9. Kuin Joab näki sodan asetetuksi vastaansa edestä ja takaa, valitsi hän kaikista Israelin parhaista miehistä, ja asetti itsensä Syrialaisia vastaan,

9 Now when Joab saw that the battle was set against him in front and behind, he chose from all the choice men of Israel and put them in array against the Syrians.

9. When Joab saw that the front of the battle was against him before and behind, he chose of all the choice men of Israel, and put them in array against the Syrians:

9. Da Joab nun sah, daß der Streit auf ihn gestellt war vorn und hinten, erwählte er aus aller jungen Mannschaft in Israel und stellte sich wider die Syrer.

9. Viendo pues Joab que había escuadrones delante y detrás de él, escogió de todos los escogidos de Israel, y púsose en órden contra los Siros.

9 И увидел Иоав, что неприятельское войско было поставлено против него и спереди и сзади, и избрал воинов из всех отборных в Израиле, и выстроил их против Сирийцев;

10. Mutta muun väen hän antoi veljensä Abisain johtoon, ja tämä asettui sotarintaan ammonilaisia vastaan.

10. Ja muun väen antoi hän veljensä Abisain käden alle, joka asetti itsensä Ammonin lapsia vastaan.

10 And the rest of the people he committed into the hand of Abishai his brother. And he put them in array against the sons of Ammon.

10. And the rest of the people he delivered into the hand of Abishai his brother, that he might put them in array against the children of Ammon.

10. Und das übrige Volk tat er unter die Hand seines Bruders Abisai, daß er sich rüstete wider dir Kinder Ammon,

10. Y lo que quedó del pueblo, entregó en mano de Abisaí su hermano, y púsolo en órden para encontrar a los Ammonitas.

10 остальную же часть людей поручил Авессе, брату своему,чтоб он выстроил их против Аммонитян.

11. Ja hän sanoi: Jos aramilaiset tulevat minulle ylivoimaisiksi, niin tule sinä minun avukseni; jos taas ammonilaiset tulevat sinulle ylivoimaisiksi, niin minä tulen sinua auttamaan.

11. Ja hän sanoi: jos Syrialaiset tulevat minua voimallisemmaksi, niin tule minun avukseni; jos Ammonin lapset joutuvat sinua voimallisemmaksi, niin minä tulen sinun apuus.

11. Ja sanoi: jos Syrialaiset tulewat minua woimallisemmaxi nijn tule minun auxen jos Ammonin lapset joutuwat sinua woimallisemmaxi nijn minä tulen sinun apuus.

11 And he said, If the Syrians be too strong for me, then you will help me, but if the sons of Ammon be too strong for you, then I will come and help you.

11. And he said, If the Syrians be too strong for me, then thou shalt help me: but if the children of Ammon be too strong for thee, then I will come and help thee.

11. und sprach: Werden mir die Syrer überlegen sein, so komm mir zu Hilfe; werden aber die Kinder Ammon dir überlegen sein, so will ich dir zu Hilfe kommen.

11. Y dijo: Si los Siros me fueren superiores, tú me ayudarás: Y si los hijos de Ammón pudieren más que tú, yo te daré ayuda.

11 И сказал Иоав : если Сирийцы будут одолеватьменя, ты поможешь мне; а если Аммонитяне тебя будут одолевать, я приду к тебе на помощь;

12. Ole luja, ja pysykäämme lujina kansamme puolesta ja meidän Jumalamme kaupunkien puolesta. Tehköön sitten Herra, minkä hyväksi näkee.

12. Ole miehuullinen, ja olkaamme vahvat meidän kansamme edestä ja meidän Jumalamme kaupunkein edestä; mutta Herra tehköön niinkuin hänelle kelvollinen on.

12. Ole miehullinen ja olcam wahwat meidän Canssam edest ja meidän Jumalam Caupungein edest mutta HERra tehkön nijncuin hänelle kelwollinen on.

12 Be of good courage and let us play the man on behalf of our people and the cities of our God. And Jehovah do what seems good to him.

12. Be of good courage, and let us play the men for our people, and for the cities of our God: and the LORD do that which seemeth him good.

12. Sei getrost und laß uns stark sein für unser Volk und für die Städte unsers Gottes; der HERR aber tue, was ihm gefällt.

12. Esfuérzate y esforcémosnos por nuestro pueblo y por las ciudades de nuestro Dios: y haga Jehová lo que bien le pareciere.

12 будь мужествен, и будем стоять твердо за народ наш и за города Бога нашего, а Господь сделает, что Ему угодно.

13. Sitten Jooab ja väki, joka oli hänen kanssaan, ryhtyi taisteluun aramilaisia vastaan, ja nämä pakenivat häntä.

13. Ja Joab läksi matkaan ja se väki joka hänen kanssansa oli, sotimaan Syrialaisia vastaan; ja he pakenivat hänen edestänsä.

13. Ja Jaob läxi matcaan sen wäen cansa cuin hänen cansans oli sotiman Syrialaisia wastan ja he pakenit heidän edestäns.

13 So Joab and the people who were with him drew near to the battle against the Syrians. And they fled before him.

13. And Joab drew nigh, and the people that were with him, unto the battle against the Syrians: and they fled before him.

13. Und Joab machte sich herzu mit dem Volk, das bei ihm war, zu streiten wider die Syrer; und sie flohen vor ihm.

13. Y acercóse Joab, y el pueblo que estaba con él, para pelear con los Siros, mas ellos huyeron delante de él.

13 И вступил Иоав в народ, который был у него, в сражение с Сирийцами, и они побежали от него.

14. Ja kun ammonilaiset näkivät aramilaisten pakenevan, pakenivat hekin Abisaita ja menivät kaupunkiin. Sitten Jooab palasi ahdistamasta ammonilaisia ja tuli Jerusalemiin.

14. Ja kuin Ammonin lapset näkivät Syrialaiset pakenevan, pakenivat he myös Abisain edestä ja menivät kaupunkiin. Niin palasi Joab Ammonin lasten tyköä ja tuli Jerusalemiin.

14 And when the sons of Ammon saw that the Syrians had fled, they likewise fled before Abishai and entered into the city. Then Joab returned from the sons of Ammon and came to Jerusalem.

14. And when the children of Ammon saw that the Syrians were fled, then fled they also before Abishai, and entered into the city. So Joab returned from the children of Ammon, and came to Jerusalem.

14. Und da die Kinder Ammon sahen, daß die Syrer flohen, flohen sie auch vor Abisai und zogen in die Stadt. Also kehrte Joab um von den Kindern Ammon und kam gen Jerusalem.

14. Entónces los hijos de Ammón viendo que los Siros habían huido, huyeron también ellos delante de Abisaí, y entráronse en la ciudad. Y volvió Joab de los hijos de Ammón, y vínose a Jerusalem.

14 Аммонитяне же, увидев, что Сирийцы бегут, побежали от Авессы и ушли в город. И возвратился Иоав от Аммонитян и пришел в Иерусалим.

15. Kun aramilaiset näkivät, että Israel oli voittanut heidät, kokoontuivat he kaikki,

15. Ja kuin Syrialaiset näkivät itsensä Israelilta lyödyksi, kokoontuivat he yhteen.

15. JA cosca Syrialaiset näit heidäns Israelildä lyödyxi coconnuit he yhteen.

15 And when the Syrians saw that they were put to the worse before Israel, they gathered themselves together.

15. And when the Syrians saw that they were smitten before Israel, they gathered themselves together.

15. Und da die Syrer sahen, daß sie geschlagen waren vor Israel, kamen sie zuhauf.

15. Y viendo los Siros que habían caido delante de Israel, tornáronse a juntar:

15 Сирийцы, видя, что они поражены Израильтянами, собрались вместе.

16. ja Hadareser lähetti nostattamaan niitä aramilaisia, jotka asuivat tuolla puolella Eufrat-virran; ja he tulivat Heelamiin, ja Soobak, Hadareserin sotapäällikkö, johti heitä.

16 And Hadadezer sent and brought out the Syrians who were beyond the River and they came to Helam, with Shobach the captain of the army of Hadadezer at their head.

16. And Hadarezer sent, and brought out the Syrians that were beyond the river: and they came to Helam; and Shobach the captain of the host of Hadarezer went before them.

16. Und Hadadeser sandte hin und brachte heraus die Syrer jenseit des Stromes und führte herein ihre Macht; und Sobach, der Feldhauptmann Hadadesers, zog vor ihnen her.

16. Y envió Adarezer, y sacó los Siros que estaban de la otra parte del río, los cuales vinieron a Helán, llevando por capitán a Sobac general del ejército de Adarezer.

16 И послал Адраазар и призвал Сирийцев, которые за рекою, и пришли они к Еламу; а Совак, военачальник Адраазаров, предводительствовал ими.

17. Kun se ilmoitettiin Daavidille, kokosi hän kaiken Israelin ja meni Jordanin yli ja tuli Heelamiin; ja aramilaiset asettuivat sotarintaan Daavidia vastaan ja taistelivat hänen kanssaan.

17. Kuin se Davidille ilmoitettiin, kokosi hän kaiken Israelin, ja meni Jordanin ylitse, ja tuli Helamiin; ja Syrialaiset asettivat itsensä Davidia vastaan sotimaan hänen kanssansa.

17 And it was told David. And he gathered all Israel together and passed over the Jordan and came to Helam. And the Syrians set themselves in array against David and fought with him.

17. Da das David ward angesagt, sammelte er zuhauf das ganze Israel und zog über den Jordan und kam gen Helam. Und die Syrer stellten sich wider David, mit ihm zu streiten.

17. Y fué dado aviso a David, y juntó a todo Israel, y pasando el Jordán vino a Helán: y los Siros se pusieron en órden contra David, y pelearon con él.

17 Когда донесли об этом Давиду, то он собрал всех Израильтян, и перешел Иордан и пришел к Еламу. Сирийцы выстроились против Давида и сразились с ним.

18. Mutta aramilaiset pakenivat Israelia, ja Daavid tappoi aramilaisilta seitsemän sataa vaunuhevosta ja neljäkymmentä tuhatta ratsumiestä, ja heidän sotapäällikkönsä Soobakin hän siellä löi kuoliaaksi.

18 And the Syrians fled before Israel. And David killed of the Syrians (the men of) seven hundred chariots and forty thousand horsemen and killed* Shobach the captain of their army so that he died there.

18. And the Syrians fled before Israel; and David slew the men of seven hundred chariots of the Syrians, and forty thousand horsemen, and smote Shobach the captain of their host, who died there.

18. Aber die Syrer flohen vor Israel. Und David verderbte der Syrer siebenhundert Wagen und vierzigtausend Reiter; dazu Sobach, den Feldhauptmann, schlug er, daß er daselbst starb.

18. Mas los Siros huyeron delante de Israel: e hirió David de los Siros sietecientos carros, y cuarenta mil hombres de a caballo: e hirió al mismo Sobac general del ejército, y murió allí.

18 И побежали Сирийцы от Израильтян. Давид истребил у Сирийцев семьсот колесниц и сорок тысяч всадников; поразил и военачальника Совака, который там и умер.

19 And when all the kings who were servants to Hadadezer saw that they were put to the worse before Israel, they made peace with Israel and served them. So the Syrians were afraid to help the sons of Ammon any more.

19. Da aber die Könige, die unter Hadadeser waren, sahen, daß sie geschlagen waren vor Israel, machten sie Frieden mit Israel und wurden ihnen untertan. Und die Syrer fürchteten sich, den Kindern Ammon mehr zu helfen.

19. Y viendo todos los reyes, siervos de Adarezer, que habían caido delante de Israel, hicieron paz con Israel, y sirviéronles: y de allí adelante temieron los Siros de socorrer a los hijos de Ammón.

19 Когда все цари покорные Адраазару увидели, что они поражены Израильтянами, то заключили мир с Израильтянами и покорились им. А Сирийцы боялись более помогать Аммонитянам.
