Daavid voittaa amalekilaiset, jotka olivat ryöstäneet Siglagin.

6. Ja Daavid joutui suureen hätään, sillä kansa aikoi kivittää hänet: niin katkeroitunut oli koko kansa, kukin poikiensa ja tyttäriensä tähden. Mutta Daavid rohkaisi mielensä Herrassa, Jumalassansa.

6 Давид сильно был смущен, так как народ хотел побить его камнями; ибо скорбел душею весьнарод, каждый о сыновьях своих и дочерях своих.

7. Ja Daavid sanoi pappi Ebjatarille, Ahimelekin pojalle: Tuo minulle kasukka. Niin Ebjatar toi kasukan Daavidille.

7 Но Давид укрепился надеждою на Господа Бога своего, и сказал Давид Авиафару священнику, сыну Ахимелехову: принеси мне ефод. И принес Авиафар ефод к Давиду.

8. Ja Daavid kysyi Herralta: Ajanko takaa tuota rosvojoukkoa? Saavutanko minä sen? Hän vastasi hänelle: Aja, sillä sinä saavutat sen ja pelastat pelastettavat.

8 И вопросил Давид Господа, говоря: преследовать ли мне это полчище, и догоню ли их? И сказано ему: преследуй, догонишь и отнимешь.

11 И нашли Египтянина в поле, и привели его к Давиду, и дали ему хлеба, и он ел, и напоили его водою;

12. ja he antoivat vielä hänelle viikunakakun ja kaksi rusinakakkua syödä. Silloin hän virkosi henkiin; sillä hän ei ollut syönyt eikä juonut kolmeen vuorokauteen.

13. Ja Daavid kysyi häneltä: Kenen olet miehiä ja mistä tulet? Hän vastasi: Minä olen egyptiläinen nuorukainen, erään amalekilaisen miehen palvelija; mutta minun herrani jätti minut, sillä minä sairastuin kolme päivää sitten.

13 And David said to him, To whom do you belong? And from where are you? And he said, I am a young man of Egypt, servant to an Amalekite. And my master left me because three days ago I fell sick.

13. David aber sprach zu ihm: Wes bist du? und woher bist du? Er sprach: Ich bin ein ägyptischer Jüngling, eines Amalekiters Knecht, und mein Herr hat mich verlassen; denn ich war krank vor drei Tagen.

13 И сказал ему Давид: чей ты и откуда ты? И сказал он: я – отрок Египтянина, раб одного Амаликитянина, и бросил меня господин мой, ибо уже три дня, как я заболел;

14. Me teimme ryöstöretken kreettien, Juudan ja Kaalebin Etelämaahan ja poltimme Siklagin tulella.

14. We made an invasion upon the south of the Cherethites, and upon the coast which belongeth to Judah, and upon the south of Caleb; and we burned Ziklag with fire.

14. Wir sind eingefallen in das Mittagsland der Krether und in Juda und in das Mittagsland Kalebs und haben Ziklag mit Feuer verbrannt.

15. Daavid sanoi hänelle: Vietkö minut tuon rosvojoukon luo? Hän vastasi: Vanno minulle Jumalan kautta, ettet surmaa minua etkä luovuta minua herrani käsiin, niin minä vien sinut sen rosvojoukon luo.

15 And David said to him, Will you bring me down to this troop? And he said, Swear to me by God, that you will neither kill me, nor deliver me up into the hands of my master and I will bring you down to this troop.

15. And David said to him, Canst thou bring me down to this company? And he said, Swear unto me by God, that thou wilt neither kill me, nor deliver me into the hands of my master, and I will bring thee down to this company.

15. David sprach zu ihm: Willst du mich hinführen zu diesen Kriegsleuten? Er sprach: Schwöre mir bei Gott, daß du mich nicht tötest noch in meines Herrn Hand überantwortest, so will ich dich hinabführen zu diesen Kriegsleuten.

15 И сказал ему Давид: доведешь ли меня до этого полчища? И сказал он:поклянись мне Богом, что ты не умертвишь меня и не предашь меня в руки господина моего, и я доведу тебя до этого полчища.

16 и он повел его; и вот, Амаликитяне , рассыпавшись по всей той стране, едят и пьют и празднуют по причине великой добычи, которую они взяли из земли Филистимской и из земли Иудейской.

17. Niin Daavid kaatoi heitä aamuhämärästä iltaan asti; eikä heistä pelastunut kuin neljäsataa nuorta miestä, jotka nousivat kamelien selkään ja pakenivat.

17 And David killed* them from the twilight even to the evening of the next day. And there escaped not a man of them, except four hundred young men who rode upon camels and fled.

17. Und David schlug sie vom Morgen an bis an den Abend gegen den andern Tag, daß ihrer keiner entrann, außer vierhundert Jünglinge; die stiegen auf die Kamele und flohen.

17. E hiriólos David desde aquella mañana hasta la tarde del día siguiente: que no escapó de ellos ninguno, sino fueron cuatrocientos mancebos, que habían subido en camellos, y habían huido.

17 и поражал их Давид от сумерек до вечера другого дня, и никто из них не спасся, кроме четырехсот юношей, которые сели на верблюдов и убежали.

18. Ja Daavid pelasti kaikki, mitä amalekilaiset olivat ottaneet; myös molemmat vaimonsa Daavid pelasti.

18 And David recovered all that the Amalekites had taken and David rescued his two wives.

19. Ei ketään puuttunut, ei pientä eikä suurta, ei kenenkään poikaa eikä kenenkään tytärtä eikä saalista tai muuta, mitä he olivat ottaneet itsellensä; kaiken Daavid toi takaisin.

19 И не пропало у них ничего, ни малого, ни большого, ни из сыновей, ни из дочерей, ни из добычи, ни из всего, что Амаликитяне взяли у них; все возвратил Давид,

21 И пришел Давид к тем двум стам человек, которые не были в силах идти за ним, и которых он оставил у потока Восор, и вышли они навстречу Давиду и навстречу людям, бывшим с ним. И подошел Давид к этим людями приветствовал их.

22 Тогда злые и негодные из людей, ходивших с Давидом, стали говорить: за то, что они не ходили с нами, не дадим им из добычи, которую мы отняли; пусть каждый возьмет только свою жену и детей и идет.

23. Y David dijo: No hagáis eso, hermanos míos, de lo que Jehová nos ha dado: el cual nos ha guardado,y ha entregado en nuestras manos el ejército, que vino sobre nosotros.

23 Но Давид сказал: не делайте так, братья мои, после того, как Господь дал нам это и сохранил нас и предал в руки наши полчище, приходившее против нас.

24 And who will listen to you* in this matter? For as his share is who goes down to the battle so will his share be who remains by the baggage; they will share alike.

24. For who will hearken unto you in this matter? but as his part is that goeth down to the battle, so shall his part be that tarrieth by the stuff: they shall part alike.

24. Wer sollte euch darin gehorchen? Wie das Teil derjenigen, die in den Streit hinabgezogen sind, so soll auch sein das Teil derjenigen, die bei dem Geräte geblieben sind, und soll gleich geteilt werden.

24. Porque ¿quién os escuchará en este caso? Porque igual parte ha de ser la de los que vienen a la batalla, y la de los que quedan al bagaje: que partan juntamente.

24 И кто послушает вас в этом деле? Какова часть ходившим на войну, такова часть должна быть и оставшимся при обозе: на всех должно разделить.

26 И пришел Давид в Секелаг и послал из добычи к старейшинам Иудиным, друзьям своим, говоря: „вот вам подарок из добычи, взятой у врагов Господних", –
