Sota syttyy filistealaisia vastaan.

3. Mutta Joonatan, Saulin poika, löi kuoliaaksi filistealaisten maaherran, joka asui Gebassa, ja filistealaiset saivat sen kuulla. Silloin Saul puhallutti pasunaan kaikkialla maassa ja käski sanoa: Hebrealaiset kuulkoot tämän.

3 И разбил Ионафан охранный отряд Филистимский, который был в Гиве; и услышали об этом Филистимляне, а Саул протрубил трубою по всей стране, возглашая: дауслышат Евреи!

4. Ja koko Israel kuuli sen sanoman, että Saul oli lyönyt kuoliaaksi filistealaisten maaherran ja että Israel oli joutunut filistealaisten vihoihin. Niin kansa kutsuttiin koolle Gilgaliin, seuraamaan Saulia.

4 And all Israel heard say that Saul had struck the garrison of the Philistines and also that Israel was had in abomination with the Philistines. And the people were gathered together after Saul to Gilgal.

4. And all Israel heard say that Saul had smitten a garrison of the Philistines, and that Israel also was had in abomination with the Philistines. And the people were called together after Saul to Gilgal.

4. Und ganz Israel hörte sagen: Saul hat der Philister Schildwacht geschlagen, und Israel ist stinkend geworden vor den Philistern. Und alles Volk wurde zuhauf gerufen Saul nach gen Gilgal.

4. Y todo Israel oyeron que se decía: Saul ha herido la guarnición de los Filisteos; y también que Israel olía mal a los Filisteos: y el pueblo se juntó en pos de Saul en Galgal.

4 Когда весь Израиль услышал, что разбил Саул охранный отряд Филистимский и что Израиль сделался ненавистным для Филистимлян, то народ собрался к Саулу в Галгал.

5. Sillä filistealaiset olivat kokoontuneet sotimaan Israelia vastaan: kolmetkymmenet tuhannet sotavaunut, kuusituhatta ratsumiestä ja muuta väkeä niin paljon kuin hiekkaa meren rannalla; ja he tulivat ylös ja leiriytyivät Mikmaaseen, vastapäätä Beet-Aavenia.

5. Niin kokoontuivat Philistealaiset sotimaan Israelia vastaan, kolmekymmentä tuhatta vaunua, kuusituhatta ratsasmiestä ja paljo muuta kansaa, niinkuin santaa meren rannalla; ja he matkustivat ylöspäin ja asettivat leirinsä Mikmaan, itään päin BetAvenista.

5. SIlloin cocoisit Philisterit myös sotiman Israeli wastan colmekymmendä tuhatta waunua cuusi tuhatta radzasmiestä ja muuta Canssa nijncuin sanda meren reunalla ja he matcustit ylöspäin ja asetit leirins Michmaan itän päin BethAwenist.

5 And the Philistines assembled themselves together to fight with Israel: thirty thousand chariots and six thousand horsemen and people as the sand which is on the sea-shore in multitude. And they came up and encamped in Michmash, eastward of Beth-aven.

5. Da versammelten sich die Philister, zu streiten mit Israel, dreißigtausend Wagen, sechstausend Reiter und sonst Volk, so viel wie Sand am Rand des Meers, und zogen herauf und lagerten sich zu Michmas, gegen Morgen vor Beth-Aven.

5. Entónces los Filisteos se juntaron para pelear con Israel, treinta mil carros, y seis mil caballos, y pueblo como la arena que está a la orilla de la mar en multitud: y subieron, y asentaron campo en Macmas al oriente de Bet-avén.

5 И собрались Филистимляне на войну против Израиля: тридцать тысячколесниц и шесть тысяч конницы, и народа множество, как песок на берегу моря; и пришли и расположились станом в Михмасе, с восточной стороны Беф-Авена.

6. Kun Israelin miehet näkivät joutuneensa hätään ja kansaa ahdistettavan, piiloutuivat he luoliin, onkaloihin, kallionrotkoihin, hautoihin ja kaivoihin.

6 When the men of Israel saw that they were in a strait (for the people were distressed), then the people hid themselves in caves and in thickets and in rocks and in coverts and in pits.

6. Da das sahen die Männer Israels, daß sie in Nöten waren (denn dem Volk war bange), verkrochen sie sich in die Höhlen und Klüfte und Felsen und Löcher und Gruben.

6. Mas los hombres de Israel viéndose puestos en estrecho, (porque el pueblo estaba en estrecho,) el pueblo se escondió en cuevas, en fosas, en peñascos, en rocas, y en cisternas.

6 Израильтяне, видя, что они в опасности, потому что народ был стеснен, укрывались в пещерах и в ущельях, и между скалами, ив башнях, и во рвах;

7. Hebrealaisia meni myös Jordanin yli Gaadiin ja Gileadin maahan. Mutta Saul oli vielä Gilgalissa, ja kaikki sotaväki seurasi häntä peloissaan.

7 Now some of the Hebrews had gone over the Jordan to the land of Gad and Gilead, but as for Saul, he was yet in Gilgal and all the people followed him trembling.

7. And some of the Hebrews went over Jordan to the land of Gad and Gilead. As for Saul, he was yet in Gilgal, and all the people followed him trembling.

7. Es gingen aber auch Hebräer über den Jordan ins Land Gad und Gilead. Saul aber war noch zu Gilgal, und alles Volk ward hinter ihm verzagt.

7. Y algunos de los Hebreos pasaron el Jordán en la tierra de Gad y de Galaad: y Saul se estaba aun en Galgal, y todo el pueblo iba tras de él temblando.

7 а некоторые из Евреев переправились за Иордан в страну Гадову и Галаадскую;Саул же находился еще в Галгале, и весь народ, бывший с ним, находился встрахе.

8. Kun hän oli odottanut seitsemän päivää, sen ajan, jonka Samuel oli määrännyt, eikä Samuel tullutkaan Gilgaliin, alkoi kansa hajaantua pois hänen luotaan.

8 And he stayed seven days, according to the set time that Samuel (had appointed), but Samuel did not come to Gilgal and the people were scattered from him.

8. And he tarried seven days, according to the set time that Samuel had appointed: but Samuel came not to Gilgal; and the people were scattered from him.

8. Da harrte er sieben Tage auf die Zeit, von Samuel bestimmt. Und da Samuel nicht kam gen Gilgal, zerstreute sich das Volk von ihm.

8. Y él esperó siete dias, conforme al plazo que Samuel había dicho, y Samuel no venía a Galgal, y el pueblo se le iba.

8 И ждал он семь дней, до срока, назначенного Самуилом, а Самуил не приходил в Галгал; и стал народ разбегаться от него.

9. Silloin Saul sanoi: Tuokaa minulle polttouhri ja yhteysuhri. Ja hän uhrasi polttouhrin.

9 And Saul said, Bring here the burnt offering to me and the peace offerings. And he offered the burnt offering.

9. Da sprach Saul: Bringt mir her Brandopfer und Dankopfer. Und er opferte Brandopfer.

9. Entónces dijo Saul: Traédme holocausto, y sacrificios pacíficos. Y sacrificó el holocausto.

9 И сказал Саул: приведите ко мне, что назначено для жертвы всесожжения и для жертв мирных. И вознес всесожжение.

10. Mutta juuri kun hän oli saanut polttouhrin uhratuksi, niin katso, Samuel tuli. Ja Saul meni häntä vastaan tervehtimään häntä.

10. Kuin hän oli päättänyt polttouhrin, katso, Samuel tuli; niin Saul meni häntä vastaan siunaamaan häntä.

10 And it happened that, as soon as he had made an end of offering the burnt offering, behold, Samuel came and Saul went out to meet him, that he might salute him.

10. Als aber das Brandopfer vollendet war, siehe, da kam Samuel. Da ging Saul hinaus ihm entgegen, ihn zu grüßen.

10. Y como él acababa de hacer el holocausto, he aquí Samuel que venía: y Saul le salió a recibir para saludarle.

10 Но едва кончил он возношение всесожжения, вот, приходит Самуил; ивышел Саул к нему навстречу, чтобы приветствовать его.

11. Mutta Samuel sanoi: Mitä olet tehnyt? Saul vastasi: Kun näin, että kansa hajaantui pois minun luotani etkä sinä tullut määrättynä aikana, vaikka filistealaiset olivat kokoontuneet Mikmaaseen,

11. Niin sanoi Samuel: mitäs olet tehnyt? Saul vastasi: minä näin kansan minultani hajoovan, et myös sinä tullut määrättyyn aikaan, ja Philistealaiset olivat Mikmassa koossa,

11 And Samuel said, What have you done? And Saul said, Because I saw that the people were scattered from me and that you did not come within the days appointed and that the Philistines assembled themselves together at Michmash,

11. And Samuel said, What hast thou done? And Saul said, Because I saw that the people were scattered from me, and that thou camest not within the days appointed, and that the Philistines gathered themselves together at Michmash;

11. Samuel aber sprach: Was hast du getan? Saul antwortete: Ich sah, daß das Volk sich von mir zerstreute, und du kamst nicht zu bestimmter Zeit, und die Philister waren versammelt zu Michmas.

11. Entónces Samuel dijo: ¿Qué has hecho? Y Saul respondió: Porque ví que el pueblo se me iba, y que tú no venías al plazo de los dias, y que los Filisteos estaban juntos en Macmas;

11 Но Самуил сказал: что ты сделал? Саул отвечал: я видел, что народ разбегается от меня, а ты не приходил к назначенному времени; Филистимляне же собрались в Михмасе;

12. niin minä ajattelin: nyt filistealaiset hyökkäävät minua vastaan alas Gilgaliin, enkä minä ole etsinyt Herran mielisuosiota; ja minä rohkaisin itseni ja uhrasin polttouhrin.

12. Niin minä sanoin: nyt tulevat Philistealaiset tänne minun tyköni Gilgaliin, ja en minä rukoillut Herran kasvoin edessä; niin minä rohkaisin itseni ja uhrasin polttouhrin.

12 therefore I said, Now the Philistines will come down upon me to Gilgal and I have not entreated the favor of Jehovah. I forced myself therefore and offered the burnt offering.

12. Therefore said I, The Philistines will come down now upon me to Gilgal, and I have not made supplication unto the LORD: I forced myself therefore, and offered a burnt offering.

12. Da sprach ich: Nun werden die Philister zu mir herabkommen gen Gilgal, und ich habe das Angesicht des HERRN nicht erbeten; da wagte ich's und opferte Brandopfer.

12. Dije en mí: Los Filisteos descenderán ahorá a mí en Galgal, y yo no he rogado a la faz de Jehová. Y esforcéme, y ofrecí holocausto.

12 тогда подумал я: „теперь придут на меня Филистимляне в Галгал, а я еще не вопросил Господа", и потому решился принести всесожжение.

13. Samuel sanoi Saulille: Sinä olet tehnyt tyhmästi. Et ole noudattanut Herran, Jumalasi, käskyä, jonka hän antoi sinulle; muutoin olisi Herra vahvistanut sinun kuninkuutesi Israelissa ikuisiksi ajoiksi.

13. Samuel sanoi Saulille: sinä olet tyhmästi tehnyt, ja et pitänyt Herran sinun Jumalas käskyä, jonka hän käski sinulle; sillä hän oli vahvistanut sinun valtakuntas Israeliin ijankaikkisesti.

13 And Samuel said to Saul, You have done foolishly. You have not kept the commandment of Jehovah your God, which he commanded you. For now Jehovah would have established your kingdom upon Israel until everlasting,

13. And Samuel said to Saul, Thou hast done foolishly: thou hast not kept the commandment of the LORD thy God, which he commanded thee: for now would the LORD have established thy kingdom upon Israel for ever.

13. Samuel aber sprach zu Saul: Du hast töricht getan und nicht gehalten des HERRN, deines Gottes, Gebot, das er dir geboten hat; denn er hätte dein Reich bestätigt über Israel für und für.

13. Entonces Samuel dijo a Saul: Locamente has hecho, que no guardaste el mandamiento de Jehová tu Dios, que él te había mandado. Porque ahora Jehová hubiera confirmado tu reino sobre Israel para siempre.

13 И сказал Самуил Саулу: худо поступил ты, что не исполнил повеления Господа Бога твоего, которое дано было тебе, ибо ныне упрочил бы Господь царствование твое над Израилем навсегда;

14. Mutta nyt sinun kuninkuutesi ei ole pysyvä. Herra on etsinyt itselleen mielensä mukaisen miehen, ja hänet on Herra määrännyt kansansa ruhtinaaksi, koska sinä et noudattanut käskyä, minkä Herra sinulle antoi.

14. Vaan sinun valtakuntas ei pidä enää oleman seisovainen: Herra on yhden miehen oman sydämensä jälkeen etsinyt, sen on Herra käskenyt olla kansansa päämiehen; sillä et sinä pitänyt sitä, mitä Herra sinulle käski.

14 but now your kingdom will not continue. Jehovah has sought for him a man after his own heart and Jehovah has appointed him to be prince over his people, because you have not kept what Jehovah commanded you.

14. But now thy kingdom shall not continue: the LORD hath sought him a man after his own heart, and the LORD hath commanded him to be captain over his people, because thou hast not kept that which the LORD commanded thee.

14. Aber nun wird dein Reich nicht bestehen. Der HERR hat sich einen Mann ersucht nach seinem Herzen; dem hat der HERR geboten, Fürst zu sein über sein Volk; denn du hast des HERRN Gebot nicht gehalten.

14. Mas ahora tu reino no será durable. Jehová se ha buscado varón según su corazón, al cual Jehová ha mandado, que sea capitán sobre su pueblo, por cuanto tú no has guardado lo que Jehová te mandó.

14 но теперь не устоять царствованию твоему; Господь найдет Себе мужа по сердцу Своему, и повелит ему Господь быть вождем народа Своего, так как ты не исполнил того, что былоповелено тебе Господом.

15. Sitten Samuel nousi ja meni Gilgalista Benjaminin Gibeaan. Ja Saul piti mukanansa olevan väen katselmuksen: noin kuusisataa miestä.

15. Niin Samuel nousi ja meni Gilgalista pois BenJaminin Gibeaan; niin Saul luki väen, joka hänen tykönänsä oli, liki kuusisataa miestä.

15 And Samuel arose and got up from Gilgal to Gibeah of Benjamin. And Saul numbered the people who were present with him, about six hundred men.

15. And Samuel arose, and gat him up from Gilgal unto Gibeah of Benjamin. And Saul numbered the people that were present with him, about six hundred men.

15. Und Samuel machte sich auf und ging von Gilgal gen Gibea-Benjamin. Aber Saul zählte das Volk, das bei ihm war, bei sechshundert Mann.

15. Y levantándose Samuel subió de Galgal en Gabaa de Benjamín: y Saul contó el pueblo, que se hallaba con él, como seiscientos hombres.

15 И встал Самуил и пошел из Галгала в Гиву Вениаминову; а Саул пересчитал людей, бывших с ним, до шестисот человек.

16. Ja Saul ja hänen poikansa Joonatan ynnä väki, joka oli heidän kanssansa, jäivät Benjaminin Gebaan, mutta filistealaiset olivat leiriytyneet Mikmaaseen.

16 And Saul and Jonathan his son and the people that were present with them, abode in Geba of Benjamin, but the Philistines encamped in Michmash.

16. And Saul, and Jonathan his son, and the people that were present with them, abode in Gibeah of Benjamin: but the Philistines encamped in Michmash.

16. Saul aber und sein Sohn Jonathan und das Volk, das bei ihm war, blieben zu Gibea-Benjamin. Die Philister aber hatten sich gelagert zu Michmas.

16. Y Saul y Jonatán su hijo, y el pueblo que se hallaba con ellos, se quedaron en Gabaa de Benjamín: y los Filisteos habían puesto su campo en Macmas.

16 Саул с сыном своим Ионафаном и людьми, находившимися при них, засели в Гиве Вениаминовой; Филистимляне же стояли станом в Михмасе.

17. Ja filistealaisten leiristä lähti ryöstöosasto kolmena joukkona: yksi joukko kääntyi Ofran tielle Suualin maahan päin,

17 And the spoilers came out of the camp of the Philistines in three companies. One company turned to the way that leads to Ophrah, to the land of Shual,

17. And the spoilers came out of the camp of the Philistines in three companies: one company turned unto the way that leadeth to Ophrah, unto the land of Shual:

21. kun vannasten, kuokkien, tadikkojen tai kirvesten terät olivat tylsyneet, tahi kun häränpistimen tutkain oli oikaistava.

21. Mutta heillä oli teroitusrauta vikahtimille, lapioille, hangoille ja kirveille, niin myös ojettaa pistintä.
