2 luku

Nehemia saa luvan lähteä Jerusalemiin. Hän tutkii muureja.

1. Niisan-kuussa, kuningas Artahsastan kahdentenakymmenentenä hallitusvuotena, kun viini oli hänen edessään, otin minä viinin ja annoin sen kuninkaalle. Kun minä en ollut ennen ollut hänen edessään murheellisena,

1 And it happened in the month Nisan, in the twentieth year of Artaxerxes the king, when wine was before him, that I took up the wine and gave it to the king. Now I had not (formerly) been sad in his presence.

1. And it came to pass in the month Nisan, in the twentieth year of Artaxerxes the king, that wine was before him: and I took up the wine, and gave it unto the king. Now I had not been beforetime sad in his presence.

1. Im Monat Nisan des zwanzigsten Jahre des Königs Arthahsastha, da Wein vor ihm stand, hob ich den Wein auf und gab dem König; und ich sah traurig vor ihm.

1. Y FUÉ en el mes de Nisán, en el año veinte del rey Artaxerxes, el vino estaba delante de él; y tomé el vino, y dí al rey: y no había estado triste delante de él.

1 В месяце Нисане, в двадцатый год царя Артаксеркса, было перед ним вино. И я взял вино и подал царю, и, казалось, не был печален перед ним.

2. sanoi kuningas minulle: Minkätähden sinä olet niin murheellisen näköinen? Ethän ole sairas; sinulla on varmaan jokin sydämensuru. Silloin minä peljästyin kovin,

2. Niin kuningas sanoi minulle: miksi niin pahoin katsot, ja et kuitenkaan kipeä ole? Ei se muu ole, mutta murhe on sinun sydämessäs. Ja minä pelkäsin sangen kovin.

2. Nijn Cuningas sanoi minulle: mixis nijn pahoin cadzot? ja et cuitengan kipiä ole? ei se muu ole mutta murhe on sinun sydämesäs: ja minä pelkäisin sangen cowin.

2 And the king said to me, Why is your countenance sad, seeing you are not sick? This is nothing else but sorrow of heart. Then I was very much afraid.

2. Wherefore the king said unto me, Why is thy countenance sad, seeing thou art not sick? this is nothing else but sorrow of heart. Then I was very sore afraid,

2. Da sprach der König zu mir: Warum siehst du so übel? Du bist ja nicht krank? Das ist's nicht, sondern du bist schwermütig. Ich aber fürchtete mich gar sehr

2. Y díjome el rey: ¿Por qué es triste tu rostro, pues no estás enfermo? No es esto sino mal de corazón. Entónces temí en gran manera,

2 Но царь сказал мне: отчего лице у тебя печально; ты не болен, этого нет, а верно печаль на сердце? Я сильно испугался

3. mutta minä sanoin kuninkaalle: Eläköön kuningas iankaikkisesti. Kuinka minä en olisi murheellisen näköinen, kun se kaupunki, jossa minun isieni haudat ovat, on autio ja sen portit tulella poltetut?

3. Niin minä sanoin kuninkaalle: eläköön kuningas ijankaikkisesti! Eikö kasvoni mahda olla murheelliset, kuin se kaupunki, jossa isäni hautaushuone on, kylmillä on, ja sen portit ovat tulella kulutetut?

3. Nijn minä sanoin Cuningalle: eläkön Cuningas ijancaickisest: eikö minun caswon mahda olla murhellinen cosca se Caupungi josa minun Isäini hautamushuone on kylmillä on ja hänen porttins owat tulella culutetut.

3 And I said to the king, Let the king live everlasting. Why should not my countenance be sad, when the city, the place of my fathers' sepulchers, lies waste and the gates of it are consumed with fire?

3. And said unto the king, Let the king live for ever: why should not my countenance be sad, when the city, the place of my fathers' sepulchres, lieth waste, and the gates thereof are consumed with fire?

3. und sprach zu dem König: Der König lebe ewiglich! Sollte ich nicht übel sehen? Die Stadt da das Begräbnis meiner Väter ist, liegt wüst, und ihre Tore sind mit Feuer verzehrt.

3. Y dije al rey: El rey viva para siempre: ¿por qué no será triste mi rostro, pues que la ciduad, que es casa de los sepulcros de mis padres, es desierta, y sus puertas consumidas de fuego?

3 и сказал царю: да живет царь во веки! Как не быть печальным лицу моему, когда город, дом гробов отцов моих, в запустении, и ворота его сожжены огнем!

4. Kuningas sanoi minulle: Mitä sinä siis pyydät? Niin minä rukoilin taivaan Jumalaa

4. Niin sanoi kuningas minulle: mitäs siis anot? Niin minä rukoilin Taivaan Jumalaa,

4. Nijn sanoi Cuningas minulle: mitäs sijs anot? nijn minä rucoilin taiwan Jumalata.

4 Then the king said to me, For what do you make request? So I prayed to the God of heaven.

4. Then the king said unto me, For what dost thou make request? So I prayed to the God of heaven.

4. Da sprach der König: Was forderst du denn? da betete ich zu dem Gott des Himmels

4. Y díjome el rey: ¿Por qué cosa demandas? Entónces oré al Dios de los cielos,

4 И сказал мне царь: чего же ты желаешь? Я помолился Богу небесному

5. ja sanoin kuninkaalle: Jos kuningas hyväksi näkee ja jos olet mielistynyt palvelijaasi, niin lähetä minut Juudaan, siihen kaupunkiin, jossa minun isieni haudat ovat, rakentamaan sitä uudestaan.

5. Ja sanoin kuninkaalle: jos kelpaa kuninkaalle, ja jos palvelias on sinun edessäs kelvollinen: ettäs lähettäisit minut Juudaan, isäni hautauskaupunkiin, rakentamaan sitä.

5. Ja minä sanoin Cuningalle: jos se kelpa Cuningalle ja jos sinun palwelias on sinun edesäs kelwollinen ettäs lähetäisit minun Judaan minun Isäini hautamus Caupungijn rakendaman sitä.

5 And I said to the king, If it please the king and if your servant has found favor in your sight, that you would send me to Judah, to the city of my fathers' sepulchers, that I may build it.

5. And I said unto the king, If it please the king, and if thy servant have found favour in thy sight, that thou wouldest send me unto Judah, unto the city of my fathers' sepulchres, that I may build it.

5. und sprach zum König: Gefällt es dem König und ist dein Knecht angenehm vor dir, so wollest du mich senden nach Juda zu der Stadt des Begräbnisses meiner Väter, daß ich sie baue.

5. Y dije al rey: Si al rey place, y si agrada tu siervo delante de tí, demando que me envies en Judá a la ciudad de los sepulcros de mis padres, y reedificarle he.

5 и сказал царю: если царю благоугодно, и если в благоволении раб твой пред лицем твоим, то пошли меня в Иудею, в город, где гробы отцов моих, чтоб я обстроил его.

6. Niin kuningas kysyi minulta, kuningattaren istuessa hänen vieressään: Kuinka kauan sinun matkasi kestäisi ja milloin voisit palata? Kun siis kuningas näki hyväksi lähettää minut, ilmoitin minä hänelle määrätyn ajan.

6. Niin sanoi kuningas minulle ja kuningatar, joka hänen vieressänsä istui: kuinka kauvan sinä matkassa olet, ja koska sinä palajat? Ja se kelpasi kuninkaalle, ja hän lähetti minun, kuin minä ajan hänelle määrännyt olin.

6 And the king said to me (the queen also sitting by him), For how long will your journey be? And when will you return? So it pleased the king to send me and I set him a time.

6. And the king said unto me, (the queen also sitting by him,) For how long shall thy journey be? and when wilt thou return? So it pleased the king to send me; and I set him a time.

6. Und der König sprach zu mir und die Königin, die neben ihm saß: Wie lange wird deine Reise währen, und wann wirst du wiederkommen? Und es gefiel dem König, daß er mich hinsendete. Und ich setzte ihm eine bestimmte Zeit

6. Entónces el rey me dijo, (y la reina estaba sentada junto a él:) ¿Hasta cuándo será tu viaje, y cuándo volverás? Y plugo al rey, y envióme, y yo le dí tiempo.

6 И сказал мне царь и царица, которая сидела подле него: сколько времени продлится путь твой, и когда возвратишься? И благоугодно было царюпослать меня, после того как я назначил время.

7. Ja minä sanoin kuninkaalle: Jos kuningas hyväksi näkee, niin annettakoon minun mukaani kirjeet Eufrat-virran tuonpuoleisen maan käskynhaltijoille, että he sallivat minun kulkea sen kautta perille Juudaan asti,

7. Ja minä sanoin kuninkaalle: jos kuninkaan tahto niin on, niin annettakoon minulle kirjat päämiesten tykö toisella puolella virtaa, että he vievät minun ylitse, siihenasti kuin minä tulen Juudaan,

7. Ja minä sanoin Cuningalle: jos Cuningan tahto nijn on nijn andacon minulle kirjan maanhaldiain tygö toiselle puolelle wirta että he wiewät minun ylidze sijhenasti cuin minä tulen Judaan.

7 Moreover I said to the king, If it please the king, let letters be given to me to the governors beyond the River, that they may let me pass through till I come to Judah,

7. Moreover I said unto the king, If it please the king, let letters be given me to the governors beyond the river, that they may convey me over till I come into Judah;

7. und sprach zum König: Gefällt es dem König, so gebe man mir Briefe an die Landpfleger jenseit des Wassers, daß sie mich hinübergeleiten, bis ich komme nach Juda,

7. Y dije al rey: Si place al rey, dénseme cartas para los capitanes del otro lado del río, que me hagan pasar hasta que venga a Judá:

7 И сказал я царю: если царю благоугодно, то дал бы мне письма к заречным областеначальникам, чтоб они давали мне пропуск,доколе я не дойду до Иудеи,

8. samoin kirje Aasafille, kuninkaan puiston vartijalle, että hän antaa minulle hirsiä temppelilinnan porttien kattamista varten sekä kaupungin muuria ja sitä taloa varten, johon menen asumaan. Ja kuningas myönsi minulle sen, koska minun Jumalani hyvä käsi oli minun päälläni.

8. Ja kirjan Asaphille, joka on kuninkaan metsänvartia, että hän lähettää minulle hirsiä salin porttein vuolteiksi, kuin on huoneen tykönä, ja kaupungin muuriin ja siihen huoneesen, johon minä menen. Ja kuningas antoi minulle niinkuin Jumalani hyvä käsi oli minun ylitseni.

8. Ja Assaphin tygö kirjan joca on Cuningan medzän wartia että hän lähettä minulle hirsiä salin porttein wuoldeixi cuin on huonen tykönä ja Caupungin muurijn ja sijhen huoneseen johon minä menen. Ja Cuningas andoi minulle nijncuin minun Jumalani hywä käsi oli minun päälleni.

8 and a letter to Asaph the keeper of the king's forest, that he may give me timber to make beams for the gates of the castle which is for the palace and for the wall of the city and for the house that I will enter into. And the king granted me, according to the good hand of my God upon me.

8. And a letter unto Asaph the keeper of the king's forest, that he may give me timber to make beams for the gates of the palace which appertained to the house, and for the wall of the city, and for the house that I shall enter into. And the king granted me, according to the good hand of my God upon me.

8. und Briefe an Asaph den Holzfürsten des Königs, daß er mir Holz gebe zu Balken der Pforten an der Burg beim Tempel und zu der Stadtmauer und zum Hause, da ich einziehen soll. Und der König gab mir nach der guten Hand meines Gottes über mir.

8. Y carta para Asaf guarda del bosque del rey, que me dé madera para enmaderar los portales del palacio de la casa, y el muro de la ciudad, y la casa donde entraré. Y dióme el rey según que era buena la mano de Jehová sobre mí.

8 и письмо к Асафу, хранителю царских лесов, чтоб он дал мне дерев для ворот крепости, которая при доме Божием , и для городской стены, и для дома,в котором бы мне жить. И дал мне царь, так как благодеющая рука Бога моего была надо мною.

9. Kun minä sitten tulin Eufrat-virran tämänpuoleisen maan käskynhaltijain luo, annoin minä heille kuninkaan kirjeet. Ja kuningas oli lähettänyt minun kanssani sotapäälliköitä ja ratsumiehiä.

9. Ja kuin minä tulin sille puolelle virtaa päämiesten tykö, niin minä annoin heille kuninkaan kirjan; kuningas lähetti myös minun kanssani sodanpäämiehiä ja hevosmiehiä.

9. Ja cosca minä tulin sille puolen wirta maanhaldiain tygö nijn minä annoin heille Cuningan kirjan ja Cuningas lähetti minun cansani sodanpäämiehiä ja hewoismiehiä.

9 Then I came to the governors beyond the River and gave them the king's letters. Now the king had sent with me captains of the army and horsemen.

9. Und da ich kam zu den Landpflegern jenseit des Wassers, gab ich ihnen des Königs Briefe. Und der König sandte mit mir Hauptleute und Reiter.

9. Y vine a los capitanes del otro lado del río, y díles las cartas del rey: y el rey envió conmigo príncipes del ejército, y gente de a caballo.

9 И пришел я к заречным областеначальникам и отдал им царские письма. Послал же со мною царь воинских начальников со всадниками.

10. Mutta kun hooronilainen Sanballat ja ammonilainen virkamies Tobia sen kuulivat, pahastuivat he kovin siitä, että oli tullut joku, joka harrasti israelilaisten parasta.

10. Mutta kuin Sanballat Horonilainen ja palvelia Tobia Ammonilainen sen kuulivat, panivat he pahaksensa sangen kovin, että joku ihminen tuli, joka Israelin lasten parasta katsoi.

10 And when Sanballat the Horonite and Tobiah the servant, the Ammonite, heard of it, it grieved them exceedingly that there came a man to seek the welfare of the sons of Israel.

10. Da aber das hörten Saneballat, der Horoniter, und Tobia, der ammonitische Knecht, verdroß es sie sehr, daß ein Mensch gekommen wäre, der Gutes suchte für die Kinder Israel.

10. Y oyéndolo Sanaballat Horonita, y Tobiás el siervo Ammonita, desplúgoles de grande desplacer, que viniese alguno para procurar el bien de los hijos de Israel.

10 Когда услышал сие Санаваллат, Хоронит и Товия, Аммонитский раб, то им было весьма досадно, что пришел человекзаботиться о благе сынов Израилевых.

11. Ja tultuani Jerusalemiin ja oltuani siellä kolme päivää

11. Ja kuin minä tulin Jerusalemiin ja olin siellä ollut kolme päivää,

11. JA cosca minä tulin Jerusalemijn ja olin siellä ollut colme päiwä.

11 So I came to Jerusalem and was there three days.

11. Und da ich gen Jerusalem kam und drei Tage da gewesen war,

11. Y vine a Jerusalem, y estuve allí tres dias;

11 И пришел я в Иерусалим. И пробыв там три дня,

12. minä nousin yöllä, ja muutamat miehet minun kanssani, ilmoittamatta kenellekään, mitä Jumalani oli pannut minun sydämeeni ja määrännyt tehtäväksi Jerusalemille. Eikä minulla ollut mukanani muuta juhtaakaan kuin se juhta, jolla minä ratsastin.

12. Nousin minä yöllä ja vähä väkeä minun kanssani; sillä en minä sanonut kellenkään, mitä minun Jumalani oli antanut sydämeeni, tehdäkseni Jerusalemissa; ja ei minulla ollut yhtään juhtaa myötäni, muuta kuin se, jonka päällä minä istuin.

12. Walmistin minä idzeni yöllä ja wähä wäke minun cansani sillä en minä sanonut kenellengän mitä minun Jumalani oli minun andanut sydämeni tehdäxeni Jerusalemis ja ei minulla ollut yhtän juhta myötäni muuta cuin se jonga päällä minä istuin.

12 And I arose in the night, I and some few men with me. I neither told any man what my God put into my heart to do for Jerusalem, nor was there any beast with me except the beast that I rode upon.

12. machte ich mich des Nachts auf und wenig Männer mit mir (denn ich sagte keinem Menschen, was mir mein Gott eingegeben hatte zu tun an Jerusalem), und war kein Tier mit mir, ohne das, darauf ich ritt.

12. Y levantéme de noche yo, y pocos varones conmigo, y no declaré a hombre lo que Dios había puesto en mi corazón que hiciese en Jerusalem; ni había bestia conmigo, salvo la cabalgadura en que cabalgaba.

12 встал я ночью с немногими людьми, бывшими при мне, и никому не сказал, что Бог мой положил мне на сердце сделать для Иерусалима; животного же не было со мною никакого,кроме того, на котором я ехал.

13. Ja minä lähdin yöllä Laaksoportista Lohikäärmelähteelle päin ja Lantaportille ja tarkastelin Jerusalemin maahanrevittyjä muureja ja sen tulella poltettuja portteja.

13. Ja minä ajoin Laaksoportista ulos yöllä, Kärmelähteen kohdalle Sontaporttiin asti ja katselin Jerusalemin muureja, jotka olivat jaotetut, ja portteja, jotka olivat tulella kulutetut.

13 And I went out by night by the valley gate, even toward the jackal's well and to the manure gate and viewed the walls of Jerusalem, which were broken down and the gates of it were consumed with fire.

13. And I went out by night by the gate of the valley, even before the dragon well, and to the dung port, and viewed the walls of Jerusalem, which were broken down, and the gates thereof were consumed with fire.

13. Und ich ritt zum Taltor aus bei der Nacht und gegen den Drachenbrunnen und an das Misttor; und es tat mir wehe, daß die Mauern Jerusalems eingerissen waren und die Tore mit Feuer verzehrt.

13. Y salí de noche por la puerta del valle hacia la fuente del dragón, y a la puerta del muladar: y consideré los muros de Jerusalem que estaban derribados, y sus puertas que eran consumidas del fuego.

13 И проехал я ночью через ворота Долины перед источником Драконовым к воротам Навозным, и осмотрел я стены Иерусалимаразрушенные и его ворота, сожженные огнем.

14. Ja minä kuljin eteenpäin Lähdeportille ja Kuninkaanlammikolle; mutta siellä ei ollut juhdalla, jonka selässä minä istuin, tilaa päästä eteenpäin.

14. Ja minä menin vielä Lähdeporttiin ja Kuninkaan vesilammin tykö; ja ei ollut sielä siaa, että minun juhtani sai käydä minun allani.

14 Then I went on to the fountain gate and to the king's pool, but there was no place for the beast that was under me to pass.

14. Then I went on to the gate of the fountain, and to the king's pool: but there was no place for the beast that was under me to pass.

14. Und ging hinüber zu dem Brunnentor und zu des Königs Teich; und war da nicht Raum meinem Tier, daß es unter mir hätte gehen können.

14. Y pasé a la puerta de la fuente, y al estanque del rey: y no hubo lugar por donde pasase la bestia que estaba debajo de mí.

14 И подъехал я к воротам Источника и к царскому водоему, но там не было местапройти животному, которое было подо мною, –

15. Silloin minä menin yöllä laaksoa myöten ylöspäin ja tarkastin muuria. Sitten minä palasin taas Laaksoportin kautta ja tulin takaisin.

15. Kuitenkin menin minä yöllä ojaa myöten ja koettelin muuria; sitte palasin minä ja tulin jälleen Laaksoporttiin.

15. Cuitengin menin yöllä ojan tygö ja coettelin muuria palaisin ja tulin jällens laxoporttijn.

15 Then I went up in the night by the brook and viewed the wall. And I turned back and entered by the valley gate and so returned.

15. Da zog ich bei Nacht den Bach hinan; und es tat mir wehe, die Mauern also zu sehen. Und kehrte um und kam zum Taltor wieder heim.

15. Y subí por el arroyo de noche, y consideré el muro, y volviendo entré por la puerta del valle, y volvíme.

15 и я поднялся назад по лощине ночью и осматривал стену, и проехав опять воротами Долины, возвратился.

16. Mutta esimiehet eivät tietäneet, mihin minä olin mennyt ja mitä tein, sillä minä en ollut vielä ilmaissut mitään kenellekään, en juutalaisille, en papeille, ylimyksille, esimiehille enkä muille, joiden oli oltava mukana siinä työssä.

16. Ja ei ylimmäiset tietäneet, kuhunka minä menin, taikka mitä minä tein; sillä en minä vielä siihenasti ilmoittanut mitään kellenkään, Juudalaisille eikä papeille, ylimmäisille taikka esivallalle, ja muille työn tekiöille.

16. Ja ei ylimmäiset tiennet cunga minä menin taicka mitä minä tein: sillä en minä wielä sijhenasti ilmoittanut mitän kellengän Judalaisille ja Papeille Raadimiehille ja ylimmäisille ja muille työn tekiöille.

16 And the rulers did not know where I went, or what I did, neither had I as yet told it to the Jews, nor to the priests, nor to the ranking men, nor to the rulers, nor to the rest who did the work.

16. And the rulers knew not whither I went, or what I did; neither had I as yet told it to the Jews, nor to the priests, nor to the nobles, nor to the rulers, nor to the rest that did the work.

16. Und die Obersten wußten nicht, wo ich hinging oder was ich machte; denn ich hatte bis daher den Juden und den Priestern, den Ratsherren und den Obersten und den andern, die am Werk arbeiteten, nichts gesagt.

16. Y los magistrados no supieron donde yo había ido, ni que había hecho; ni aun a los Judíos y sacerdotes, ni a los nobles y magistrados, ni a los demás que hacían la obra, hasta entónces lo había declarado.

16 И начальствующие не знали, куда я ходил и что я делаю: ни Иудеям,ни священникам, ни знатнейшим, ни начальствующим, ни прочим производителям работ я дотоле ничего не открывал.

17. Mutta nyt minä sanoin heille: Te näette, missä kurjuudessa me olemme, kun Jerusalem on autio ja sen portit tulella poltetut. Tulkaa, rakentakaamme uudestaan Jerusalemin muuri, ettemme enää olisi häväistyksen alaiset.

17. Ja minä sanoin heille: te näette tämän onnettomuuden, jossa me olemme, että Jerusalem on autiona, ja sen portit ovat tulella kulutetut: tulkaat ja rakentakaamme Jerusalemin muurit, ettemme enää häpiänä olisi.

17 Then I said to them, You* see the evil condition that we are in, how Jerusalem lies waste and the gates of it are burned with fire. Come and let us build up the wall of Jerusalem that we are no more a reproach.

17. Then said I unto them, Ye see the distress that we are in, how Jerusalem lieth waste, and the gates thereof are burned with fire: come, and let us build up the wall of Jerusalem, that we be no more a reproach.

17. Und ich sprach zu ihnen: Ihr seht das Unglück, darin wir sind, daß Jerusalem wüst liegt und seine Tore sind mit Feuer verbrannt. Kommt, laßt uns die Mauern Jerusalems bauen, daß wir nicht mehr eine Schmach seien!

17. Y díjeles: Vosotros veis el mal en que estamos, que Jerusalem está desierta, y sus puertas consumidas de fuego: veníd, y edifiquemos el muro de Jerusalem, y no seamos más en vergüenza.

17 И сказал я им: вы видите бедствие, в каком мы находимся; Иерусалим пуст и ворота его сожжены огнем; пойдем, построим стену Иерусалима, ине будем впредь в таком уничижении.

18. Ja minä kerroin heille, kuinka minun Jumalani hyvä käsi oli ollut minun päälläni ja myös mitä kuningas oli minulle sanonut. Niin he sanoivat: Nouskaamme ja rakentakaamme. Ja he saivat rohkeuden käydä käsiksi tähän hyvään työhön.

18. Ja minä ilmoitin heille minun Jumalani käden, joka oli hyvä minun päälläni, ja myös kuninkaan sanat, jotka hän sanoi minulle. Ja he sanoivat: nouskaamme siis ja rakentakaamme. Ja heidän kätensä vahvistuivat hyvyyteen.

18. Ja minä ilmoitin heille minun Jumalani käden joca oli hywä minun päälläni ja myös Cuningan sanat cuin hän sanoi minulle. Ja he sanoit: noscam sijs ja rakendacam. Ja heidän kätens wahwistuit hywyteen.

18 And I told them of the hand of my God which was good upon me, as also of the king's words that he had spoken to me. And they said, Let us rise up and build. So they strengthened their hands for the good (work).

18. Und sagte ihnen an die Hand meines Gottes, die gut über mir war, dazu die Worte des Königs, die er zu mir geredet hatte. Und sie sprachen: So laßt uns auf sein und bauen! Und ihre Hände wurden gestärkt zum Guten.

18. Entónces les declaré la mano de mi Dios que era buena sobre mí; y asimismo las palabras del rey que me había dicho: y dijeron: Levantémosnos, y edifiquemos. Y confortaron sus manos para bien.

18 И я рассказал им о благодеявшей мне руке Бога моего, а также и слова царя, которые онговорил мне. И сказали они: будем строить, – и укрепили руки свои на благое дело .

19. Mutta kun hooronilainen Sanballat ja ammonilainen virkamies Tobia ja arabialainen Gesem sen kuulivat, pilkkasivat he meitä, osoittivat meille halveksumistaan ja sanoivat: Mitä te siinä teette? Kapinoitteko te kuningasta vastaan?

19 But when Sanballat the Horonite and Tobiah the servant, the Ammonite and Geshem the Arabian, heard it, they laughed us to scorn and despised us and said, What is this thing that you* do? Will you* rebel against the king?

19. Da aber das Saneballat, der Horoniter und Tobia, der ammonitische Knecht, und Gesem, der Araber, hörten, spotteten sie unser und verachteten uns und sprachen: Was ist das, das ihr tut? Wollt ihr von dem König abfallen?

19. Y oyólo Sanaballat Horonita, y Tobías el siervo Ammonita, y Gessem Árabe, y escarnecieron de nosotros, y nos despreciaron, diciendo: ¿Qué es esto que hacéis vosotros? ¿Os rebeláis contra el rey?

19 Услышав это, Санаваллат, Хоронит и Товия, Аммонитский раб, и Гешем Аравитянин смеялись над нами и с презрением говорили: что это за дело, которое вы делаете? уже не думаете ли возмутиться против царя?

20. Silloin minä vastasin ja sanoin heille: Taivaan Jumala on antava meille menestystä, ja me, hänen palvelijansa, nousemme ja rakennamme. Mutta teillä ei ole mitään osuutta eikä oikeutta Jerusalemiin, eikä teidän muistonne ole siellä pysyvä.

20. Niin minä vastasin heitä ja sanoin heille: taivaan Jumala antaa meille menestyksen, sillä me hänen palveliansa olemme valmistaneet itsemme ja rakennamme; mutta ei teillä ole yhtäkään osaa eli oikeutta, taikka muistoa Jerusalemissa.

20. Nijn minä wastaisin heitä ja sanoin: Jumala taiwast anda meille menestyxen sillä me hänen palwelians olem walmistanet idzem ja rakennam mutta ei teillä ole yhtäkän osa eli oikeutta taicka muistoa Jerusalemis.

20 Then I answered them and said to them, The God of heaven, he will prosper us. Therefore we his servants will arise and build, but you* have no portion, nor right, nor memorial, in Jerusalem.

20. Da antwortete ich ihnen und sprach: Der Gott des Himmels wird es uns gelingen lassen; denn wir, seine Knechte, haben uns aufgemacht und bauen. Ihr aber habt kein Teil noch Recht noch Gedächtnis in Jerusalem.

20. Y volvíles respuesta, y díjeles: Dios de los cielos él nos prosperará, y nosotros sus siervos nos levantaremos y edificaremos: que vosotros no tenéis parte, ni justicia, ni memoria en Jerusalem.

20 Я дал им ответ и сказал им: Бог Небесный, Он благопоспешит нам, и мы, рабы Его, станем строить, а вам нет части и права и памяти вИерусалиме.
