Abimelek tulee kuninkaaksi. Jootamin vertaus. Abimelekin taistelut ja kuolema.

1. Mutta Abimelek, Jerubbaalin poika, meni Sikemiin äitinsä veljien luo ja puhui heille sekä kaikille, jotka olivat sukua hänen äitinsä isän perheelle, ja sanoi:

1 And Abimelech the son of Jerubbaal went to Shechem to his mother's brothers and spoke with them and with all the family of the house of his mother's father, saying,

1. And Abimelech the son of Jerubbaal went to Shechem unto his mother's brethren, and communed with them, and with all the family of the house of his mother's father, saying,

1. Abimelech aber, der Sohn Jerubbaals, ging hin zu Sichem zu den Brüdern seiner Mutter und redete mit ihnen und mit dem ganzen Geschlecht des Vaterhauses seiner Mutter und sprach:

1. Y FUÉSE Abimelec, hijo de Jerubaal, a Siquem a los hermanos de su madre, y habló con ellos, y con toda la familia de la casa del padre de su madre, diciendo:

1 Авимелех, сын Иероваалов, пошел в Сихем к братьям матери своей иговорил им и всему племени отца матери своей, и сказал:

2. Puhukaa kaikkien Sikemin miesten kuullen: Kumpi teille on parempi, sekö, että teitä hallitsee seitsemänkymmentä miestä, kaikki Jerubbaalin pojat, vai että teitä hallitsee yksi mies? Ja muistakaa, että minä olen teidän luutanne ja lihaanne.

2. Puhukaat nyt kaikkein päämiesten korvissa Sikemissä: mikä teille on parempi, että seitsemänkymmentä miestä, kaikki JerubBaalin pojat, hallitsevat teitä, eli jos yksi mies hallitsee teitä? Ja muistakaat, että minä olen teidän luunne ja lihanne.

2. Puhucat caickein miesten corwis Sichemist: mikä teille on parembi että seidzemenkymmendä miestä caicki JerubBaalin pojat hallidzewat teitä eli yxi mies hallidze teitä? Ja muistacat että minä olen teidän luun ja lihan.

2 Speak, I beseech you*, in the ears of all the men of Shechem, Which is better for you*, that all the sons of Jerubbaal, who are seventy men, rule over you*, or that one rule over you*? Remember also that I am your* bone and your* flesh.

2. Speak, I pray you, in the ears of all the men of Shechem, Whether is better for you, either that all the sons of Jerubbaal, which are threescore and ten persons, reign over you, or that one reign over you? remember also that I am your bone and your flesh.

2. Redet doch vor den Ohren aller Männer zu Sichem: was ist euch besser, daß siebzig Männer, alle Kinder Jerubbaals, über euch Herren seien, oder daß ein Mann über euch Herr sei? Gedenkt auch dabei, daß ich euer Gebein und Fleisch bin.

2. Yo os ruego que habléis a oidos de todos los señores de Siquem: ¿Qué tenéis por mejor, que os señoreen setenta hombres, todos los hijos de Jerubaal, o que os señoree un varón? Acordáos que yo soy hueso vuestro, y carne vuestra.

2 внушите всем жителям Сихемским: что лучше для вас, чтобы владеливами все семьдесят сынов Иеровааловых, или чтобы владел один? и вспомните, что я кость ваша и плоть ваша.

3. Niin hänen äitinsä veljet puhuivat hänen puolestaan kaikkien Sikemin miesten kuullen kaiken tämän. Ja heidän sydämensä taipui Abimelekin puolelle, sillä he sanoivat: Hän on meidän veljemme.

3. Niin puhuivat hänen äitinsä veljet kaikki nämät sanat hänestä kaikkein Sikemin päämiesten korvissa; ja heidän sydämensä käännettiin AbiMelekin jälkeen, sillä he sanoivat: hän on meidän veljemme.

3. Nijn puhuit hänen äitins weljet caicki nämät sanat hänest caickein Sichemin miesten corwis ja heidän sydämens käättin AbiMelechin jälken ja sanoit: hän on meidän weljem.

3 And his mother's brothers spoke of him in the ears of all the men of Shechem all these words. And their hearts inclined to follow Abimelech, for they said, He is our brother.

3. And his mother's brethren spake of him in the ears of all the men of Shechem all these words: and their hearts inclined to follow Abimelech; for they said, He is our brother.

3. Da redeten die Brüder seiner Mutter von ihm alle diese Worte vor den Ohren aller Männer zu Sichem. Und ihr Herz neigte sich Abimelech nach; denn sie gedachten: Er ist unser Bruder.

3. Y hablaron por él los hermanos de su madre a oidos de todos los señores de Siquem todas estas palabras: y el corazón de ellos se inclinó tras Abimelec, porque decían: Nuestro hermano es.

3 Братья матери его внушили о нем все сии слова жителям Сихемским; исклонилось сердце их к Авимелеху, ибо говорили они: он брат наш.

4. Ja he antoivat hänelle seitsemänkymmentä hopeasekeliä Baal-Beritin temppelistä. Niillä Abimelek palkkasi tyhjäntoimittajia ja huikentelijoita, ja ne seurasivat häntä.

4. Ja he antoivat hänelle seitsemänkymmentä hopiapenninkiä BaalBeritin huoneesta, joilla AbiMelek palkkasi itsellensä valtojamia ja joutilaita miehiä, jotka häntä seurasivat,

4 And they gave him seventy (pieces) of silver out of the house of Baal-berith, with which Abimelech hired vain and unstable fellows who followed him.

4. And they gave him threescore and ten pieces of silver out of the house of Baalberith, wherewith Abimelech hired vain and light persons, which followed him.

4. Und sie gaben ihm siebzig Silberlinge aus dem Haus Baal-Beriths. Und Abimelech dingte damit lose, leichtfertige Männer, die ihm nachfolgten.

4. Y diéronle setenta siclos de plata del templo de Baal-berit, con los cuales Abimelec alquiló varones ociosos y vagabundos que le siguieron.

4 И дали ему семьдесят сиклей серебра из дома Ваалверифа; Авимелех нанял на оные праздных и своевольных людей, которые и пошли за ним.

5. Sitten hän lähti isänsä taloon Ofraan ja surmasi veljensä, Jerubbaalin pojat, seitsemänkymmentä miestä, saman kiven päällä; mutta Jootam, Jerubbaalin nuorin poika, jäi henkiin, sillä hän oli piiloutunut.

5. Ja hän tuli isänsä huoneesen Ophraan, ja murhasi seitsemänkymmentä veljeänsä, JerubBaalin poikaa, yhden kiven päällä. Mutta Jotam, nuorin JerubBaalin pojista jäi; sillä hän kätki itsensä.

5 And he went to his father's house at Ophrah and killed his brothers the sons of Jerubbaal, being seventy men, upon one stone, but Jotham the youngest son of Jerubbaal was left, for he hid himself.

5. And he went unto his father's house at Ophrah, and slew his brethren the sons of Jerubbaal, being threescore and ten persons, upon one stone: notwithstanding yet Jotham the youngest son of Jerubbaal was left; for he hid himself.

5. Und er kam in seines Vaters Haus gen Ophra und erwürgte seine Brüder, die Kinder Jerubbaals, siebzig Mann, auf einem Stein. Es blieb aber übrig Jotham, der jüngste Sohn Jerubbaals; denn er war versteckt.

5. Y viniendo a la casa de su padre a Efra, mató a sus hermanos los hijos de Jerubaal, setenta varones, sobre una piedra: mas quedó Joatam el más pequeño hijo de Jerubaal, que se escondió.

5 И пришел он в дом отца своего в Офру и убил братьев своих, семьдесят сынов Иеровааловых, на одном камне. Остался только Иофам, младший сын Иероваалов, потому что скрылся.

6. Sen jälkeen kokoontuivat kaikki Sikemin miehet ja koko Millon väki, ja he menivät ja tekivät Abimelekin kuninkaaksi Muistomerkkitammen luona, joka on Sikemissä.

6. Ja kaikki päämiehet Sikemistä ja koko Millon huone kokoontuivat, ja menivät ja asettivat Abimelekin kuninkaaksi korkian tammen tykönä, joka Sikemissä on.

6 And all the men of Shechem assembled themselves together and all the Beth-millo {House of Millo} and went and made Abimelech king by the oak of the pillar that was in Shechem.

6. And all the men of Shechem gathered together, and all the house of Millo, and went, and made Abimelech king, by the plain of the pillar that was in Shechem.

6. Und es versammelten sich alle Männer von Sichem und das ganze Haus Millo, gingen hin und machten Abimelech zum König bei der hohen Eiche, die zu Sichem steht.

6. Y juntados todos los señores de Siquem, con toda la casa de Mello, fueron y eligieron a Abimelec por rey cerca de la llanura de la estatua que estaba en Siquem.

6 И собрались все жители Сихемские и весь дом Милло, и пошли и поставили царем Авимелеха у дуба, что близ Сихема.

7. Kun se kerrottiin Jootamille, niin hän meni, asettui seisomaan Garissimin vuoren laelle ja korotti äänensä, huusi ja sanoi heille: Kuulkaa minua, te Sikemin miehet, että Jumalakin kuulisi teitä.

7. Kuin tämä sanottiin Jotamille, meni hän pois ja seisoi Gerisimin vuoren kukkulalla, korotti äänensä ja huusi ja sanoi heille: kuulkaat minua, te Sikemin päämiehet, että Jumala myös kuulis teitä:

7 And when they told it to Jotham, he went and stood on the top of Mount Gerizim and lifted up his voice and cried out and said to them, Listen to me, you* men of Shechem, that God may listen to you*.

7. And when they told it to Jotham, he went and stood in the top of mount Gerizim, and lifted up his voice, and cried, and said unto them, Hearken unto me, ye men of Shechem, that God may hearken unto you.

7. Da das angesagt ward dem Jotham, ging er hin und trat auf die Höhe des Berges Garizim und hob auf seine Stimme, rief und sprach zu ihnen: Hört mich, ihr Männer zu Sichem, daß euch Gott auch höre!

7. Lo cual como fué dicho a Joatam, fué, y púsose en la cumbre del monte de Garizim, y alzando su voz clamó, y díjoles: Oídme varones de Siquem, que Dios os oiga:

7 Когда рассказали об этом Иофаму, он пошел и стал на вершине горы Гаризима и, возвысив голос свой, кричал и говорил им: послушайте меня, жители Сихема, и послушает вас Бог!

8. Puut lähtivät voitelemaan itsellensä kuningasta. Ja he sanoivat öljypuulle: 'Ole sinä meidän kuninkaamme.'

8. Puut menivät kerran yksimielisesti voitelemaan itsellensä kuningasta ja sanoivat öljypuulle: ole meidän kuninkaamme.

8. Puut menit woiteleman heillens Cuningast ja sanoit öljypuulle: ole meidän Cuningam.

8 The trees went forth a time to anoint a king over them. And they said to the olive tree, Reign over us.

8. The trees went forth on a time to anoint a king over them; and they said unto the olive tree, Reign thou over us.

8. Die Bäume gingen hin, daß sie einen König über sich salbten, und sprachen zu dem Ölbaum: Sei unser König!

8. Fueron los árboles a elegir rey sobre sí; y dijeron a la oliva: Reina sobre nosotros.

8 Пошли некогда дерева помазать над собою царя исказали маслине: царствуй над нами.

9. Mutta öljypuu vastasi heille: 'Jättäisinkö lihavuuteni, josta jumalat ja ihmiset minua ylistävät, mennäkseni huojumaan ylempänä muita puita!'

9. Mutta öljypuu vastasi heitä: pitääkö minun luopuman lihavuudestani, jolla sekä jumalia ja myös ihmisiä minussa kunnioitetaan, ja menemän ja korottaman itseni puiden ylitse?

9. Mutta öljypuu wastais heille: pitäkö minun luopuman lihawudestani jota sekä jumalat ja myös ihmiset minus ylistäwät menemän ja corgottaman idzeni puiden ylidze?

9 But the olive tree said to them, Should I leave my fatness with which by me they honor God and man and go to wave to and fro over the trees?

9. But the olive tree said unto them, Should I leave my fatness, wherewith by me they honour God and man, and go to be promoted over the trees?

9. Aber der Ölbaum antwortete ihnen: Soll ich meine Fettigkeit lassen, die beide, Götter und Menschen, an mir preisen, und hingehen, daß ich schwebe über den Bäumen?

9. Mas la oliva les respondió: ¿Tengo de dejar mi grosura con la cual por mi causa Dios y los hombres son honrados, por ir, y ser grande sobre los árboles?

9 Маслина сказала им: оставлю ли я тук мой, которым чествуют богов и людей и пойду ли скитаться по деревам?

10. Niin puut sanoivat viikunapuulle: 'Tule sinä ja ole meidän kuninkaamme.'

10. Niin puut sanoivat fikunapuulle: tule sinä ja ole meidän kuninkaamme.

10. Nijn sanoit puut ficunapuulle: tule sinä ja ole meidän Cuningam.

10 And the trees said to the fig tree, You come and reign over us.

10. And the trees said to the fig tree, Come thou, and reign over us.

10. Da sprachen die Bäume zum Feigenbaum: Komm du und sei unser König!

10. Y dijeron los árboles a la higuera: Anda tú, reina sobre nosotros.

10 И сказали дерева смоковнице: иди ты, царствуй над нами.

11. Mutta viikunapuu vastasi heille: 'Jättäisinkö makeuteni ja hyvät antimeni, mennäkseni huojumaan ylempänä muita puita!'

11. Mutta fikunapuu sanoi heille: pitääkö minun luopuman makeudestani ja parhaasta hedelmästäni, ja menemän ja korottaman itseni puiden ylitse?

11. Mutta ficunapuu sanoi: pitäkö minun luopuman makeudestani ja parhast hedelmästäni menemän ja corgottaman idzeni puiden ylidze?

11 But the fig tree said to them, Should I leave my sweetness and my good fruit and go to wave to and fro over the trees?

11. But the fig tree said unto them, Should I forsake my sweetness, and my good fruit, and go to be promoted over the trees?

11. Aber der Feigenbaum sprach zu ihnen: Soll ich meine Süßigkeit und meine gute Frucht lassen und hingehen, daß ich über den Bäumen schwebe?

11. Y respondióles la higuera: ¿Tengo de dejar mi dulzura y mi buen fruto, por ir, y ser grande sobre los árboles?

11 Смоковница сказала им: оставлю ли я сладость мою и хороший плодмой и пойду ли скитаться по деревам?

12. Niin puut sanoivat viinipuulle: 'Tule sinä ja ole meidän kuninkaamme.'

12. Niin sanoivat puut viinapuulle: tule sinä ja ole meidän kuninkaamme.

12. Nijn sanoit puut wijnapuulle: tule sinä ja ole meidän Cuningam.

12 And the trees said to the vine, You come and reign over us.

12. Then said the trees unto the vine, Come thou, and reign over us.

12. Da sprachen die Bäume zum Weinstock: Komm du und sei unser König!

12. Dijeron pues los árboles a la vid: Anda pues tú, reina sobre nosotros.

12 И сказали дерева виноградной лозе: иди ты, царствуй над нами.

13. Mutta viinipuu vastasi heille: 'Jättäisinkö mehuni, joka saa jumalat ja ihmiset iloisiksi, mennäkseni huojumaan ylempänä muita puita!'

13. Mutta viinapuu sanoi heille: pitääkö minun luopuman viinastani, joka sekä jumalat että ihmiset ilahuttaa, ja menemän ja korottaman itseni puiden ylitse?

13. Mutta wijnapuu sanoi: pitäkö minun luopuman märkydestäni joca sekä jumalat että ihmiset ilahutta menemän ja corgottaman idzeni puiden ylidze?

13 And the vine said to them, Should I leave my new wine, which cheers God and man and go to wave to and fro over the trees?

13. And the vine said unto them, Should I leave my wine, which cheereth God and man, and go to be promoted over the trees?

13. Aber der Weinstock sprach zu ihnen: Soll ich meinen Most lassen, der Götter und Menschen fröhlich macht, und hingehen, daß ich über den Bäumen schwebe?

13. Y la vid les respondió: ¿Tengo de dejar mi mosto, que alegra a Dios y a los hombres, por ir y ser grande sobre los árboles.

13 Виноградная лоза сказала им: оставлю ли я сок мой,который веселит богов и человеков, и пойду ли скитаться по деревам?

14. Niin kaikki puut sanoivat orjantappuralle: 'Tule sinä ja ole meidän kuninkaamme.'

14. Niin sanoivat kaikki puut orjantappuralle: tule sinä ja ole meidän kuninkaamme.

14. Nijn sanoit caicki puut orjantappuralle: tule sinä ja ole meidän Cuningam.

14 Then all the trees said to the bramble, You come and reign over us.

14. Then said all the trees unto the bramble, Come thou, and reign over us.

14. Da sprachen die Bäume zum Dornbusch: Komm du und sei unser König!

14. Dijeron pues todos los árboles al escaramujo: Anda tú, reina sobre nosotros.

14 Наконец сказали все дерева терновнику: иди ты, царствуй над нами.

15. Ja orjantappura vastasi puille: 'Jos todella aiotte voidella minut kuninkaaksenne, niin tulkaa ja etsikää suojaa minun varjossani; mutta ellette, niin tuli lähtee orjantappurasta ja kuluttaa Libanonin setrit.'

15. Ja orjantappura sanoi puille: onko se tosi, että tahdotte minua voidella teillenne kuninkaaksi, niin tulkaat ja levätkäät minun varjoni alla. Mutta jos ei, niin lähtekään tuli orjantappurapensaasta ja polttakaan sedripuut Libanonissa.

15. Ja orjantappura sanoi puille: ongo se tosi että te tahdotte minua woidella teillen Cuningaxi? nijn tulcat ja lewätkät minun warjoni alla. Mutta jos et te tahdo nijn lähtekän tuli orjantappura pensast ja polttacon Cedrinpuut Libanonis.

15 And the bramble said to the trees, If in truth you* anoint me king over you*, then come and take refuge in my shade and if not, let fire come out of the bramble and devour the cedars of Lebanon.

15. And the bramble said unto the trees, If in truth ye anoint me king over you, then come and put your trust in my shadow: and if not, let fire come out of the bramble, and devour the cedars of Lebanon.

15. Und der Dornbusch sprach zu den Bäumen: Ist's wahr, daß ihr mich zum König salbt über euch, so kommt und vertraut euch unter meinen Schatten; wo nicht, so gehe Feuer aus dem Dornbusch und verzehre die Zedern Libanons.

15. Y el escaramujo respondió a los árboles: Si con verdad me elegís por rey sobre vosotros, veníd, y aseguráos debajo de mi sombra, y si no, fuego salga del escaramujo que trague los cedros del Líbano.

15 Терновник сказал деревам: если вы по истине поставляете меня царемнад собою, то идите, покойтесь под тенью моею; если же нет, то выйдет огонь из терновника и пожжет кедры Ливанские.

16. Jos te nyt olette menetelleet uskollisesti ja rehellisesti tehdessänne Abimelekin kuninkaaksi ja jos olette kohdelleet hyvin Jerubbaalia ja hänen perhettänsä ja jos olette palkinneet häntä siitä, mitä hänen kätensä ovat hyvää tehneet —

16. Oletteko te siis nyt oikein ja toimellisesti tehneet, kuin AbiMelekin kuninkaaksi teitte, ja oletteko te oikein tehneet JerubBaalia ja hänen huonettansa vastaan? Ja oletteko niin tehneet häntä vastaan kuin hän ansaitsikin teiltä?

16. Olettaco te sijs nyt oikein ja toimellisest tehnet cosca te AbiMelechin Cuningaxi teitte ja olettaco te oikein tehnet JerubBaali ja hänen huonettans wastan Ja oletta nijn tehnet händä wastan cuin hän ansaidzikin teildä/

16 Now therefore, if you* have dealt truly and uprightly, in that you* have made Abimelech king and if you* have dealt well with Jerubbaal and his house and have done to him according to the deed of his hands

16. Now therefore, if ye have done truly and sincerely, in that ye have made Abimelech king, and if ye have dealt well with Jerubbaal and his house, and have done unto him according to the deserving of his hands;

16. Habt ihr nun recht und redlich getan, daß ihr Abimelech zum König gemacht habt; und habt ihr wohl getan an Jerubbaal und an seinem Hause und habt ihm getan, wie er um euch verdient hat{~}

16. Ahora pues, si con verdad y con integridad habéis procedido en hacer rey a Abimelec; y si lo habéis hecho bien con Jerubaal y con su casa, y si le habéis pagado conforme a la obra de sus manos:

16 Итак смотрите, по истине ли и по правде ли вы поступили, поставив Авимелеха царем? И хорошо ли вы поступили с Иероваалом и домом его, и сообразноли с его благодеяниями поступили вы?

17. sillä sotihan minun isäni teidän puolestanne ja pani alttiiksi henkensä ja pelasti teidät Midianin käsistä,

17. Että minun isäni on teidän edessänne sotinut ja antanut henkensä alttiiksi, vapahtaaksensa teitä Midianilaisten kädestä.

17. Että minun Isän on teidän edestän sotinut ja hengens andanut aldixi wapahtaxens teitä Midianiterein kädest.

17 (for my father fought for you* and ventured his life and delivered you* out of the hand of Midian,

17. (For my father fought for you, and adventured his life far, and delivered you out of the hand of Midian:

17. (denn mein Vater hat gestritten um euretwillen und seine Seele dahingeworfen von sich, daß er euch errettete von der Midianiter Hand;

17. (Pues que mi padre peleó por vosotros, y echó su alma léjos por libraros de mano de Madián,

17 За вас отец мой сражался, не дорожил жизнью своею и избавил вас от руки Мадианитян;

18. mutta te olette tänä päivänä nousseet minun isäni perhettä vastaan ja surmanneet hänen poikansa, seitsemänkymmentä miestä, saman kiven päällä ja tehneet Abimelekin, hänen orjattarensa pojan, Sikemin miesten kuninkaaksi, koska hän on teidän veljenne —

18. Ja te olette nousseet minun isäni huonetta vastaan tänäpänä ja olette tappaneet hänen poikansa, seitsemänkymmentä miestä yhden kiven päällä; ja teitte teillenne AbiMelekin, hänen piikansa pojan, kuninkaaksi Sikemin päämiesten ylitse, että hän teidän veljenne on.

18. Ja te oletta nosnet minun Isäni huonetta wastan ja oletta tappanet hänen poicans seidzemenkymmendä miestä yhden kiwen päällä ja teitte teillen AbiMelechin Cuningaxi joca oli hänen pijcans poica Sichemin miesten ylidze että hän teidän weljen on.

18 and you* have risen up against my father's house this day and have slain his sons, seventy men, upon one stone and have made Abimelech, the son of his maid-servant, king over the men of Shechem because he is your* brother),

18. And ye are risen up against my father's house this day, and have slain his sons, threescore and ten persons, upon one stone, and have made Abimelech, the son of his maidservant, king over the men of Shechem, because he is your brother;)

18. und ihr lehnt euch auf heute wider meines Vaters Haus und erwürgt seine Kinder, siebzig Mann, auf einem Stein und macht euch Abimelech, seiner Magd Sohn, zum König über die Männer zu Sichem, weil er euer Bruder ist);

18. Y vosotros os levantasteis hoy contra la casa de mi padre, y matasteis a sus hijos, setenta varones, sobre una piedra: y habéis puesto sobre los señores de Siquem por rey a Abimelec hijo de su criada, por cuanto es vuestro hermano:)

18 а вы теперь восстали против дома отца моего, и убили семьдесят сынов отца моего на одном камне, и поставили царем над жителямиСихемскими Авимелеха, сына рабыни его, потому что он брат ваш.

38. Da sprach Sebul zu ihm: Wo ist nun hier dein Maul, das da sagte: Wer ist Abimelech, daß wir ihm dienen sollten? Ist das nicht das Volk, das du verachtet hast? Zieh nun aus und streite mit ihm!

43 Он взял свой народ и разделил его на три отряда и поставил в засаду в поле. И увидев, что народ вышелиз города, восстал на них и побил их.

Niin meni AbiMelek ylös Salmonin vuorelle, hän ja kaikki kansa joka hänen seurassansa oli, ja AbiMelek otti kirveen käteensä ja hakkasi oksan puusta, pani olallensa ja kantoi sen, ja sanoi kansalle, joka hänen seurassansa oli: mitä te näitte minun tekevän, se myös te nopiasti tehkäät niinkuin minäkin.

48 И пошел Авимелех на гору Селмон, сам и весь народ, бывший с ним, и взял Авимелех топоры с собою и нарубил сучьев древесных, и положил на плечи свои, и сказал народу, бывшему с ним: вы видели, что я делал; скорее делайте и вы то же, что я.

49 And all the people likewise cut down every man his bough and followed Abimelech and put them to the stronghold and set the stronghold on fire upon them, so that all the men of the tower of Shechem died also, about a thousand men and women.

52. Niin Abimelek tuli tornin ääreen ja ryhtyi taisteluun sitä vastaan; ja hän astui tornin ovelle polttaakseen sen tulella.

56. Näin Jumala kosti Abimelekille sen pahan, minkä hän oli tehnyt isäänsä kohtaan surmatessaan seitsemänkymmentä veljeään;

56. Ja näin maksoi Jumala AbiMelekille sen pahuuden, minkä hän teki isäänsä vastaan, että hän tappoi seitsemänkymmentä veljeänsä.

57. ja kaiken Sikemin miesten tekemän pahan Jumala käänsi heidän omaan päähänsä. Niin heidät saavutti Jootamin, Jerubbaalin pojan, kirous.

57. Niin myös kaiken sen pahuuden, minkä Sikemin miehet tekivät, antoi Jumala tulla heidän päänsä päälle; ja heidän päällensä tuli Jotamin JerubBaalin pojan kirous.

57. Nijn myös sen pahuden cuin Sichemin miehet teit andoi Jumala tulla heidän pääns päälle. Ja heidän päällens tuli Jothamin JerubBaalin pojan kirous.

57 And God requited all the wickedness of the men of Shechem upon their heads. And the curse of Jotham the son of Jerubbaal came upon them.

57. And all the evil of the men of Shechem did God render upon their heads: and upon them came the curse of Jotham the son of Jerubbaal.

57. desgleichen alles Übel der Männer Sichems vergalt ihnen Gott auf ihren Kopf, und es kam über sie der Fluch Jothams, des Sohnes Serubbaals.

57. Y aun todo el mal de los señores de Siquem tornó Dios sobre sus cabezas: y la maldición de Joatam hijo de Jerubaal vino sobre ellos.

57 И все злодеяния жителей Сихемских обратил Бог на голову их; и постигло их проклятие Иофама, сына Иероваалова.
