Eframilaisten tyytymättömyys. Gideonin retki Jordanin itäpuolelle. Gideon kieltäytyy rupeamasta hallitsijaksi. Hänen perheolonsa ja kuolemansa.

1. Mutta Efraimin miehet sanoivat hänelle: Miksi teit meille sen, ettet kutsunut meitä, kun menit taistelemaan midianilaisia vastaan? Ja he riitelivät kovasti häntä vastaan.

1. Y LOS de Efraim le dijeron. ¿Qué es esto que has hecho con nosotros, no llamándonos cuando ibas a la guerra contra Madián? Y riñéronle fuertemente.

1 И сказали ему Ефремляне: зачем ты это сделал, что не позвал нас, когда шел воевать с Мадианитянами? И сильно ссорились с ним.

2. Niin hän sanoi heille: Mitä minä sitten olen tehnyt teihin verraten? Eikö Efraimin jälkikorjuu ole parempi kuin Abieserin viininkorjuu?

2. Niin hän vastasi heitä: mitä minä olen nyt tehnyt niinkuin te? Eikö Ephraimin viinapuun oksa parempi ole, kuin Abieserin koko viinamarjan läjä?

2. Nijn hän wastais heille: mitä minä olen tehnyt cuin teidän työnne werraxi wedetäisin? eikö Ephraimin wijnapuun oxa parembi ole cuin AbiEzerin coco wijnamarjan läjä?

2 And he said to them, What have I now done in comparison with you*? Is not the gleaning of the grapes of Ephraim better than the vintage of Abiezer?

2. And he said unto them, What have I done now in comparison of you? Is not the gleaning of the grapes of Ephraim better than the vintage of Abiezer?

2. Er aber sprach zu ihnen: Was habe ich jetzt getan, das eurer Tat gleich sei? Ist nicht die Nachlese Ephraims besser denn die ganze Weinernte Abiesers?

2. A los cuales él respondió; ¿Qué he hecho yo ahora como vosotros? ¿El rebusco de Efraim no es mejor que la vendimia de Abiezer?

2 Гедеон отвечал им: сделал ли я что такое, как вы ныне? Не счастливее ли Ефрем добирал виноград, нежели Авиезер обирал?

3. Teidän käsiinnehän Jumala antoi midianilaisten ruhtinaat Oorebin ja Seebin. Mitä minä olen voinut tehdä teihin verraten? Kun hän puhui näin, asettui heidän suuttumuksensa häneen.

3 God has delivered into your* hand the rulers of Midian, Oreb and Zeeb and what was I able to do in comparison with you*? Then their anger was abated toward him when he had said that.

3. Gott hat die Fürsten der Midianiter, Oreb und Seeb, in eure Hände gegeben. Wie hätte ich können das tun, was ihr getan habt? Da er solches redete, ließ ihr Zorn von ihm ab.

3. Dios ha entregado en vuestras manos a Oreb y a Zeb príncipes de Madián; y ¿qué pude yo hacer como vosotros? Entónces el enojo de ellos contra él se aplacó, como él habló esta palabra.

3 В ваши руки предал Бог князей Мадиамских Орива и Зива, и что мог сделать я такое, как вы? Тогда успокоился дух их против него, когда сказал он им такие слова.

4 И пришел Гедеон к Иордану, и перешел сам и триста человек, бывшие с ним. Они были утомлены, преследуя врагов .

5. Ja hän sanoi Sukkotin miehille: Antakaa joitakin leipäkakkuja väelle, joka seuraa minua, sillä he ovat uuvuksissa; minä olen ajamassa takaa midianilaisten kuninkaita Sebahia ja Salmunnaa.

5. Ja hän sanoi Sukkotin asuvaisille: antakaat vähä leipää väelle joka minun kanssani on; sillä he ovat väsyneet, että minä saisin ajaa Midianilaisten kuninkaita Sebaa ja Zalmunnaa takaa.

5 And he said to the men of Succoth, Give, I beseech you*, loaves of bread to the people who follow me, for they are faint and I am pursuing after Zebah and Zalmunna, the kings of Midian.

5. And he said unto the men of Succoth, Give, I pray you, loaves of bread unto the people that follow me; for they be faint, and I am pursuing after Zebah and Zalmunna, kings of Midian.

5. Und er sprach zu den Leuten von Sukkoth: Gebt doch dem Volk, das unter mir ist, etliche Brote; denn sie sind müde, daß ich nachjagte den Königen der Mididaniter, Sebah und Zalmuna.

5. Y dijo a los de Socot: Yo os ruego que deis al pueblo que me sigue algunos bocados de pan, porque están cansados, para que yo siga a Zebee, y a Salmana reyes de Madián.

5 И сказал он жителям Сокхофа: дайте хлеба народу, который идет за мною; они утомились, а я преследую Зевея и Салмана, царей Мадиамских.

6. Mutta Sukkotin päämiehet sanoivat: Onko sinulla sitten jo Sebahin ja Salmunnan nyrkki kädessäsi, että me antaisimme leipää sinun sotajoukollesi?

6. Mutta Sukkotin päämiehet sanoivat: onko Seban ja Zalmunnan kämmen juuri jo sinun kädessäs, että meidän pitää sinun sotaväelles leipää antaman?

6 And the rulers of Succoth said, Are the hands of Zebah and Zalmunna now in your hand that we should give bread to your army?

6. Aber die Obersten zu Sukkoth sprachen: Sind die Fäuste Sebahs und Zalmunas schon in deinen Händen, daß wir deinem Heer sollen Brot geben?

6. Y los principales de Socot respondieron: ¿Está ya la mano de Zebee y de Salmana en tu mano, para que hayamos nosotros de dar pan a tu ejército?

6 Князья Сокхофа сказали: разве рука Зевея и Салмана уже в твоей руке, чтобы нам войску твоему давать хлеб?

7. Gideon vastasi: Hyvä! Kun Herra antaa Sebahin ja Salmunnan minun käsiini, puin minä teidän lihanne rikki erämaan orjantappuroilla ja orjanruoskilla.

7 And Gideon said, Therefore when Jehovah has delivered Zebah and Zalmunna into my hand, then I will tear your* flesh with the thorns of the wilderness and with briers.

7. Gideon sprach: Wohlan, wenn der HERR Sebah und Zalmuna in meine Hand gibt, will ich euer Fleisch mit Dornen aus der Wüste und mit Hecken zerdreschen.

7. Y Gedeón dijo: Pues cuando Jehová hubiere entregado en mi mano a Zebee y a Salmana, yo trillaré vuestra carne con espinas y abrojos del desierto.

7 И сказал Гедеон: за это, когда предаст Господь Зевея и Салмана вруки мои, я растерзаю тело ваше терновником пустынным и молотильными зубчатыми досками.

8. Ja hän nousi sieltä Penueliin ja puhui heille samalla tavalla. Ja Penuelin miehet vastasivat hänelle samoin, kuin Sukkotin miehet olivat vastanneet.

8. Ja hän meni sieltä ylös Penueliin ja puhui heille myös niin. Ja Penuelin kansa vastasi häntä niinkuin Sukkotinkin miehet.

8 And he went up from there to Penuel and spoke to them in like manner and the men of Penuel answered him as the men of Succoth had answered.

8. And he went up thence to Penuel, and spake unto them likewise: and the men of Penuel answered him as the men of Succoth had answered him.

8. Und er zog von da hinauf gen Pnuel und redete auch also zu ihnen. Und die Leute zu Pnuel antworteten ihm gleich wie die zu Sukkoth.

8. Y de allí subió a Fanuel, y hablóles las mismas palabras. Y los de Fanuel le respondieron, como habían respondido los de Socot.

8 Оттуда пошел он в Пенуэл и то же сказал жителям его,и жители Пенуэла отвечали ему то же, что отвечали жители Сокхофа.

9. Niin hän sanoi myös Penuelin miehille: Jahka palaan voittajana, kukistan minä tämän tornin.

9. Niin puhui hän myös Penuelin kansalle, sanoen: kuin minä rauhassa palajan, kukistan minä tämän tornin.

9. Nijn sanoi hän Pnuelin Canssalle: cosca minä rauhas palajan cukistan minä tämän tornin.

9 And he spoke also to the men of Penuel, saying, When I come again in peace, I will break down this tower.

9. Und er sprach auch zu den Leuten zu Pnuel: Komme ich mit Frieden wieder, so will ich diesen Turm zerbrechen.

9. Y él habló también a los de Fanuel, diciendo: Cuando yo tornaré en paz, yo derribaré esta torre.

9 Он сказал и жителям Пенуэла: когда я возвращусь в мире, разрушу башню сию.

10. Mutta Sebah ja Salmunna olivat Karkorissa ja heidän joukkonsa heidän kanssansa, noin viisitoista tuhatta miestä, kaikki, mitä oli jäljellä Idän miesten koko joukosta; kaatunut oli sata kaksikymmentä tuhatta miekkamiestä.

10. Y Zebee y Salmana estaban en Carcor, y tenían consigo su ejército de como quince mil hombres, todos los que habían quedado de todo el campo de los Orientales y los muertos habían sido ciento y veinte mil hombres, que sacaban espada.

10 Зевей же и Салман были в Каркоре и с ними их ополчение до пятнадцати тысяч, все, чтоосталось из всего ополчения жителей востока; пало же сто двадцатьтысяч человек, обнажающих меч.

11. Ja Gideon kulki teltoissa-eläjien tietä Noobahin ja Jogbehan itäpuolitse ja voitti joukon, kun se oli huoletonna leirissään.

11. Ja Gideon meni ylös niiden tietä, jotka majoissa asuvat itäisellä puolella Nobatia ja Jogbehaa, ja löi leirin, sillä he olivat suruttomat.

11 And Gideon went up by the way of those who dwelt in tents on the east of Nobah and Jogbehah and killed* the army, for the army was confident.

11. Und Gideon zog hinauf auf der Straße derer, die in Hütten wohnten, gegen Morgen von Nobah und Jogbeha, und schlug das Heer, denn das Heer war sicher.

11. Y subiendo Gedeón hacia los que estaban en las tiendas a la parte oriental de Nobe, y de Jegbaa, hirió el campo, porque el campo estaba seguro.

11 Гедеон пошел к живущим в шатрах на восток от Новы и Иогбеги и поразил стан, когда стан стоял беспечно.

12. Ja Sebah ja Salmunna pakenivat, mutta hän ajoi heitä takaa; ja hän otti molemmat midianilaisten kuninkaat, Sebahin ja Salmunnan, vangiksi, saatettuaan koko leirin pakokauhun valtaan.

12. Ja Seba ja Zalmunna pakenivat, mutta hän ajoi heitä takaa, ja sai ne kaksi Midianilaisten kuningasta Seban ja Zalmunnan kiinni, ja peljätti kaiken heidän sotaväkensä.

12 And Zebah and Zalmunna fled and he pursued after them. And he took the two kings of Midian, Zebah and Zalmunna and confused all the army.

12. And when Zebah and Zalmunna fled, he pursued after them, and took the two kings of Midian, Zebah and Zalmunna, and discomfited all the host.

12. Und Sebah und Zalmuna flohen; aber er jagte ihnen nach und fing die zwei Könige der Midianiter, Sebah und Zalmuna, und schreckte das ganze Heer.

12. Y huyendo Zebee y Salmana, él los siguió, y tomados los dos reyes de Madián, Zebee y Salmana, espantó a todo el ejército.

12 Зевей и Салман побежали; он погнался за ними и схватил обоих царей Мадиамских, Зевея и Салмана, и весь стан привел в замешательство.

13. Ja Gideon, Jooaan poika, palasi taistelusta, Hereksen solalta.

13. Ja Gideon Joaksen poika palasi sodasta, ennenkuin aurinko nousi,

13 And Gideon the son of Joash returned from the battle from the ascent of Heres.

13. Da nun Gideon, der Sohn Joas, wiederkam vom Streit, ehe die Sonne heraufgekommen war,

13. Y volvió Gedeón hijo de Joas de la batalla ántes que el sol subiese.

13 И возвратился Гедеон, сын Иоаса, с войны от возвышенности Хереса.

14. Ja hän otti kiinni erään nuorukaisen, joka oli Sukkotin miehiä, ja kyseli häneltä, ja tämä kirjoitti hänelle Sukkotin päämiehet ja vanhimmat, seitsemänkymmentä seitsemän miestä.

14 And he caught a young man of the men of Succoth and inquired of him. And he described for him the rulers of Succoth and the elders of it, seventy-seven men.

14. fing er einen Knaben aus den Leuten zu Sukkoth und fragte ihn; der schrieb ihm auf die Obersten zu Sukkoth und ihre Ältesten, siebenundsiebzig Mann.

14. Y tomó un mozo de los de Socot, y preguntándole, él le dió por escrito los principales de Socot y sus ancianos, setenta y siete varones.

14 И захватил юношу из жителей Сокхофа и выспросил у него; и он написал ему князей и старейшин Сокхофских семьдесят семь человек.

15. Kun hän sitten tuli Sukkotin miesten luo, sanoi hän: Tässä ovat nyt Sebah ja Salmunna, joilla te pilkkasitte minua sanoen: 'Onko sinulla sitten jo Sebahin ja Salmunnan nyrkki kädessäsi, että me antaisimme leipää sinun uupuneille miehillesi?'

15 And he came to the men of Succoth and said, Behold Zebah and Zalmunna, concerning whom you* taunted me, saying, Are the hands of Zebah and Zalmunna now in your hand, that we should give bread to your men who are weary?

15. And he came unto the men of Succoth, and said, Behold Zebah and Zalmunna, with whom ye did upbraid me, saying, Are the hands of Zebah and Zalmunna now in thine hand, that we should give bread unto thy men that are weary?

15. Und er kam zu den Leuten zu Sukkoth und sprach: Siehe, hier ist Sebah und Zalmuna, über welchen ihr mein spottetet und spracht: Ist denn Sebahs und Zalmunas Faust schon in deinen Händen, daß wir deinen Leuten, die müde sind, Brot geben sollen?

15. Y entrando a los de Socot, dijo: He aquí a Zebee, y a Salmana de los cuales me zaheristeis, diciendo: ¿Está ya la mano de Zebee y de Salmana en tu mano para que demos nosotros pan a tus varones cansados?

15 И пришел он к жителям Сокхофским, и сказал: вот Зевей и Салман, закоторых вы посмеялись надо мною, говоря: разве рука Зевея и Салмана уже в твоей руке, чтобынам давать хлеб утомившимся людям твоим?

16. Ja hän otti kiinni kaupungin vanhimmat; ja hän otti erämaan orjantappuroita ja orjanruoskia ja antoi Sukkotin miesten maistaa niitä.

16 And he took the elders of the city and thorns of the wilderness and briers and with them he taught the men of Succoth.

16. Und er nahm die Ältesten der Stadt und Dornen aus der Wüste und Hecken und ließ es die Leute zu Sukkoth fühlen.

16. Y tomó a los ancianos de la ciudad, y espinas y abrojos del desierto, y castigo con ellas a los de Socot.

16 И взял старейшин города и терновник пустынный и зубчатые молотильные доски и наказал ими жителей Сокхофа;

17. Ja hän kukisti Penuelin tornin ja surmasi kaupungin miehet.

17. Ja kukisti Penuelin tornin, ja tappoi kaupungin kansan.

17. Ja cukisti Pnuelin tornin ja tappoi caiken Caupungin Canssan.

17 And he broke down the tower of Penuel and killed the men of the city.

17. And he beat down the tower of Penuel, and slew the men of the city.

17. Und den Turm Pnuels zerbrach er und erwürgte die Leute der Stadt.

17. Asimismo derribó la torre de Fanuel, y mató a los de la ciudad.

17 и башню Пенуэльскую разрушил, и перебил жителей города.

18. Sitten hän sanoi Sebahille ja Salmunnalle: Minkä näköisiä ne miehet olivat, jotka te tapoitte Taaborilla? He vastasivat: Ne olivat niinkuin sinä; jokainen oli varreltaan kuin kuninkaan poika.

18. Ja hän sanoi Seballe ja Zalmunnalle: minkämuotoiset miehet ne olivat, jotka te tapoitte Taborissa? He sanoivat: ne olivat sinun muotoises, kauniit kuin kuninkaan pojat.

18 Then he said to Zebah and Zalmunna, What manner of men were they whom you* killed at Tabor? And they answered, As you are, so were they. Each one resembled the sons of a king.

18. Then said he unto Zebah and Zalmunna, What manner of men were they whom ye slew at Tabor? And they answered, As thou art, so were they; each one resembled the children of a king.

18. Und er sprach zu Sebah und Zalmuna: Wie waren die Männer, die ihr erwürgtet zu Thabor? Sie sprachen: Sie waren wie du und ein jeglicher schön wie eines Königs Kinder.

18. Y dijo a Zebee y a Salmana: ¿Qué manera de hombres tenían aquellos que matasteis en Tabor? Y ellos respondieron: Como tú, tales eran aquellos, ni más ni menos, que parecían hijos de rey.

18 И сказал Зевею и Салману: каковы были те, которых вы убили на Фаворе? Они сказали: они были такие, как ты, каждый имел вид сынов царских.
