1. Jooram, Ahabin poika, tuli Israelin kuninkaaksi Samariassa Joosafatin, Juudan kuninkaan, kahdeksantenatoista hallitusvuotena, ja hän hallitsi kaksitoista vuotta.

1. Y JORAM, hijo de Acab, comenzó a reinar en Samaria sobre Israel el año diez y ocho de Josafat rey de Judá; y reinó doce años.

2 And he did what was evil in the sight of Jehovah, but not like his father and like his mother, for he put away the pillar of Baal that his father had made.

2. And he wrought evil in the sight of the LORD; but not like his father, and like his mother: for he put away the image of Baal that his father had made.

2. Und er tat, was dem HERRN übel gefiel; doch nicht wie sein Vater und seine Mutter. Denn er tat weg die Säule Baals, die sein Vater machen ließ.

2. E hizo lo malo en los ojos de Jehová, aunque no como su padre y su madre; porque quitó las estatuas de Baal, que su padre había hecho.

2 и делал неугодное в очах Господних, хотя не так, как отец его и мать его: он снял статую Ваала, которую сделал отец его;

3. Kuitenkin hän riippui kiinni Jerobeamin, Nebatin pojan, synnissä, jolla tämä oli saattanut Israelin tekemään syntiä; siitä hän ei luopunut.

3 Nevertheless he clung to the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, with which he made Israel to sin; he did not depart from there.

3. Mas llegóse a los pecados de Jeroboam, hijo de Nabat, que hizo pecar a Israel; y no se apartó de ellos.

3 однако же грехов Иеровоама, сына Наватова, который ввел в грех Израиля, он держался, не отставал от них.

4. Meesa, Mooabin kuningas, omisti lammaslaumoja ja maksoi verona Israelin kuninkaalle satatuhatta karitsaa ja sadantuhannen oinaan villat.

4. Mutta Mesalla Moabilaisten kuninkaalla oli paljo lampaita, ja hän antoi Israelin kuninkaalle veron, satatuhatta karitsaa ja satatuhatta oinasta villoinensa.

4. Entónces Mesa rey de Moab era pastor, y pagaba al rey de Israel cien mil corderos, y cien mil carneros con sus vellocinos.

4 Меса, царь Моавитский, был богат скотом и присылалцарю Израильскому по сто тысяч овец и по сто тысяч неостриженных баранов.

5. Mutta Ahabin kuoltua Mooabin kuningas luopui Israelin kuninkaasta.

5. Kuin Ahab oli kuollut, luopui Moabilaisten kuningas Israelin kuninkaasta.

5 But it happened, when Ahab was dead, that the king of Moab rebelled against the King of Israel.

6. Siihen aikaan lähti kuningas Jooram Samariasta ja katsasti kaiken Israelin.

6 And king Jehoram went out of Samaria at that time and mustered all Israel.

6. Da zog zur selben Zeit aus der König Joram von Samaria und ordnete das ganze Israel

6. Y salió entónces de Samaria el rey Joram, y reconoció a todo Israel:

6 И выступил царь Иорам в то время из Самарии и сделал смотр всем Израильтянам;

7. Ja hän meni ja lähetti Joosafatille Juudan kuninkaalle sanan: Mooabin kuningas on luopunut minusta. Lähdetkö minun kanssani sotaan Mooabia vastaan? Hän vastasi: Lähden; minä niinkuin sinä, minun kansani niinkuin sinun kansasi, minun hevoseni niinkuin sinun hevosesi!

7. Ja meni ja lähetti Josaphatille Juudan kuninkaalle sanomaan: Moabilaisten kuningas on luopunut minusta, tuletkos sotimaan minun kanssani Moabilaisia vastaan? Hän sanoi: minä tulen, minä olen niinkuin sinä, ja minun kansani niinkuin sinun kansas, ja minun hevoseni niinkuin sinun hevoses.

7 And he went and sent to Jehoshaphat the king of Judah, saying, The king of Moab has rebelled against me. Will you go with me against Moab to battle? And he said, I will go up. I am as you are, my people as your people, my horses as your horses.

7. And he went and sent to Jehoshaphat the king of Judah, saying, The king of Moab hath rebelled against me: wilt thou go with me against Moab to battle? And he said, I will go up: I am as thou art, my people as thy people, and my horses as thy horses.

7. und sandte hin zu Josaphat, dem König Juda's, und ließ ihm sagen: Der Moabiter König ist von mir abgefallen; komm mit mir, zu streiten wider die Moabiter! Er sprach: Ich will hinaufkommen; ich bin wie du, und mein Volk wie dein Volk, und meine Rosse wie deine Rosse.

7. Y fué, y envió a Josafat rey de Judá, diciendo: El rey de Moab se ha rebelado contra mí: ¿irás tú conmigo a la guerra contra Moab? Y él respondió: Si iré, porque como yo, así tú: y como mi pueblo, así también tu pueblo: como mis caballos, así también tus caballos.

7 и пошел и послал к Иосафату, царю Иудейскому, сказать: царь Моавитский отложился от меня, пойдешь ли со мной на войну против Моава? Он сказал: пойду; как ты, так и я, как твой народ, так и мой народ; как твои кони, так и мои кони.

8. Ja Joosafat kysyi: Mitä tietä meidän on sinne mentävä? Hän vastasi: Edomin erämaan tietä.

8. Ja sanoi: mitä tietä meidän pitää sinne vaeltaman? Hän vastasi: Edomin korven tietä.

8. Ja sanoi: cuta tietä meidän pitä sinne waeldaman? Hän wastais: Edomin corwen tietä.

8 And he said, Which way will we go up? And he answered, The way of the wilderness of Edom.

8. And he said, Which way shall we go up? And he answered, The way through the wilderness of Edom.

8. Und er sprach: Welchen Weg wollen wir hinaufziehen? Er sprach: Den Weg durch die Wüste Edom.

8. Y dijo: ¿Por qué camino iremos? Y él respondió: Por el camino del desierto de Idumea.

8 И сказал: какою дорогою идти нам? Он сказал: дорогою пустыни Едомской.

9. Niin Israelin kuningas, Juudan kuningas ja Edomin kuningas lähtivät liikkeelle. Mutta kun he olivat kierrellen kulkeneet seitsemän päivän matkan eikä ollut vettä sotajoukolle eikä juhdille, jotka seurasivat heitä,

9. Ja niin läksi Israelin kuningas ja Juudan kuningas ja Edomin kuningas. Ja koska he olivat vaeltaneet ympäri seitsemän päivän matkan, ja ei ollut vettä sotaväellä ja juhdilla, jotka heitä seurasivat,

9 So the King of Israel went and the king of Judah and the king of Edom. And they made a circuit of seven days' journey and there was no water for the army, nor for the beasts that followed them.

9. So the king of Israel went, and the king of Judah, and the king of Edom: and they fetched a compass of seven days' journey: and there was no water for the host, and for the cattle that followed them.

9. Also zog hin der König Israels, der König Juda's und der König Edoms. Und da sie sieben Tagereisen zogen, hatte das Heer und das Vieh, das unter ihnen war kein Wasser.

9. Y partióse el rey de Israel, y el rey de Judá, y el rey de Idumea: y como anduvieron rodeando por el desierto siete dias de camino, faltóles el agua para el ejército, y para las bestias, que los seguían.

9 И пошел царь Израильский, и царь Иудейский, и царь Едомский, и шли они обходом семь дней, и не было воды для войска и дляскота, который шел за ними.

10. sanoi Israelin kuningas: Voi, Herra on kutsunut nämä kolme kuningasta kokoon antaakseen heidät Mooabin käsiin!

10. Niin sanoi Israelin kuningas: voi! Herra on kutsunut nämät kolme kuningasta antaaksensa heitä Moabilaisten käsiin.

10. Silloin sanoi Israelin Cuningas: woi cosca HERra on cudzunut nämät oclme Cuningasta andaxens heitä Moabiterein käsijn.

10 And the King of Israel said, Alas! For Jehovah has called these three kings together to deliver them into the hand of Moab.

10. And the king of Israel said, Alas! that the LORD hath called these three kings together, to deliver them into the hand of Moab!

10. Da sprach der König Israels: O wehe! der HERR hat diese drei Könige geladen, daß er sie in der Moabiter Hände gebe.

10. Entónces el rey de Israel dijo: ¡Ay! que ha llamado Jehová estos tres reyes para entregarlos en manos de los Moabitas.

10 И сказал царь Израильский: ах! созвал Господь трех царей сих, чтобы предать их в руку Моава.

11. Mutta Joosafat sanoi: Eikö täällä ole ketään Herran profeettaa, kysyäksemme hänen kauttaan neuvoa Herralta? Silloin eräs Israelin kuninkaan palvelijoista vastasi ja sanoi: Täällä on Elisa, Saafatin poika, joka vuodatti vettä Elian käsille.

11. Mutta Josaphat sanoi: onko tässä yhtään Herran prophetaa, kysyäksemme hänen kauttansa neuvoa Herralta? Niin vastasi yksi Israelin kuninkaan palvelioista ja sanoi: tässä on Elisa Saphatin poika, joka kaasi vettä Elian kätten päälle.

11. Mutta Josaphat sanoi: ongo täsä yhtän HERran Prophetata kysyäxem hänen cauttans neuwoa HERralda. Silloin wastais yxi Israelin Cuningan palwelioist ja sanoi: täsä on Elisa Saphatin poica joca caasi wettä Elian kätten päälle.

11 But Jehoshaphat said, Is there not here a prophet of Jehovah, that we may inquire of Jehovah by him? And one of the King of Israel's servants answered and said, Elisha the son of Shaphat is here, who poured water on the hands of Elijah.

11. But Jehoshaphat said, Is there not here a prophet of the LORD, that we may enquire of the LORD by him? And one of the king of Israel's servants answered and said, Here is Elisha the son of Shaphat, which poured water on the hands of Elijah.

11. Josaphat aber sprach: Ist kein Prophet des HERRN hier, daß wir den HERRN durch ihn ratfragen? Da antwortete einer unter den Knechten des Königs Israels und sprach: Hier ist Elisa, der Sohn Saphats, der Elia Wasser auf die Hände goß.

11. Mas Josafat dijo: ¿No hay aquí profeta de Jehová, para que consultemos a Jehová por él? Y uno de los siervos del rey de Israel respondió, y dijo: Aquí está Eliseo, hijo de Safat, que daba agua a manos a Elías.

11 И сказал Иосафат: нет ли здесь пророка Господня, чтобы нам вопросить Господа чрез него? И отвечал один из слуг царя Израильского и сказал: здесь Елисей, сын Сафатов, который подавал воду на руки Илии.

12. Joosafat sanoi: Hänellä on Herran sana. Niin Israelin kuningas, Joosafat ja Edomin kuningas menivät hänen tykönsä.

12. Josaphat sanoi: hänen tykönänsä on Herran sana. Ja Israelin kuningas, ja Josaphat ja Edomin kuningas menivät hänen tykönsä.

12. Josaphat sanoi: hänen tykönäns on HERran sana. Ja Israelin Cuningas ja Josaphat ja Edomin Cuningas menit hänen tygöns.

12 And Jehoshaphat said, The word of Jehovah is with him. So the King of Israel and Jehoshaphat and the king of Edom went down to him.

12. And Jehoshaphat said, The word of the LORD is with him. So the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat and the king of Edom went down to him.

12. Josaphat sprach: Des HERRN Wort ist bei ihm. Also zogen sie zu ihm hinab der König Israels und Josaphat und der König Edoms.

12. Y Josafat dijo: Este tendrá palabra de Jehová. Y descendieron a él el rey de Israel, y Josafat, y el rey de Idumea,

12 И сказал Иосафат: есть у него слово Господне. И пошли к нему царь Израильский, и Иосафат, и царь Едомский.

13. Ja Elisa sanoi Israelin kuninkaalle: Mitä minulla on tekemistä sinun kanssasi? Mene isäsi ja äitisi profeettain tykö. Israelin kuningas sanoi hänelle: Ei niin! Sillä Herra on kutsunut nämä kolme kuningasta kokoon antaakseen heidät Mooabin käsiin.

13. Niin sanoi Elisa Israelin kuninkaalle: mitä sinun on minun kanssani? mene pois isäs prophetain tykö ja äitis prophetain tykö! Israelin kuningas sanoi hänelle: ei, sillä Herra on kutsunut nämät kolme kuningasta antaaksensa heitä Moabilaisten käsiin.

13. SIlloin sanoi Elisa Israelin Cuningalle: mitä sinun on minun cansan tekemist? mene pois sinun Isäs Prophetain tygö ja sinun äitis Prophetain tygö. Israelin Cuningas sanoi hänelle: Ei sillä HERra on cudzunut nämät colme Cuningasta andaxens heitä Moabiterein käsijn.

13 And Elisha said to the King of Israel, What have I to do with you? You get to the prophets of your father and to the prophets of your mother. And the King of Israel said to him, No, for Jehovah has called these three kings together to deliver them into the hand of Moab.

13. And Elisha said unto the king of Israel, What have I to do with thee? get thee to the prophets of thy father, and to the prophets of thy mother. And the king of Israel said unto him, Nay: for the LORD hath called these three kings together, to deliver them into the hand of Moab.

13. Elisa aber sprach zum König Israels: Was hast du mit mir zu schaffen? gehe hin zu den Propheten deines Vaters und zu den Propheten deiner Mutter! Der König Israels sprach zu ihm: Nein! denn der HERR hat diese drei Könige geladen, daß er sie in der Moabiter Hände gebe.

13. Entónces Eliseo dijo al rey de Israel: ¿Qué tengo yo contigo? Vé a los profetas de tu padre, y a los profetas de tu madre. Y el rey de Israel le respondió: No así: porque ha juntado Jehová estos tres reyes para entregarlos en manos de los Moabitas.

13 И сказал Елисей царю Израильскому: что мне и тебе? пойди к пророкам отца твоего и к пророкам матери твоей. И сказал ему царь Израильский: нет, потому что Господь созвал сюда трех царей сих, чтобы предать их в руку Моава.

14. Elisa sanoi: Niin totta kuin Herra Sebaot elää, jonka edessä minä seison: jollen tahtoisi tehdä Joosafatille, Juudan kuninkaalle, mieliksi, niin minä tosiaankaan en katsoisi sinuun enkä huomaisi sinua.

14. Elisa sanoi: niin totta kuin Herra Zebaot elää, jonka edessä minä seison, jollen minä katsoisi Josaphatia Juudan kuningasta, en minä katsahtaisi sinun päälles enkä tottelisi sinua.

14. Elisa sanoi: nijn totta cuin HERra Zebaoth elä jonga edes minä seison jollen minä cadzois Josaphati Judan Cuningast en minä cadzatais sinun päälles engä tottelis sinua.

14 And Elisha said, As Jehovah of hosts lives, before whom I stand, surely, were it not that I regard the presence of Jehoshaphat the king of Judah, I would not look toward you, nor see you.

14. And Elisha said, As the LORD of hosts liveth, before whom I stand, surely, were it not that I regard the presence of Jehoshaphat the king of Judah, I would not look toward thee, nor see thee.

14. Elisa sprach: So wahr der HERR Zebaoth lebt, vor dem ich stehe, wenn ich nicht Josaphat, den König Juda's, ansähe, ich wollte dich nicht ansehen noch achten.

14. Y Eliseo dijo: Vive Jehová de los ejércitos en cuya presencia estoy, que sino tuviese respeto al rostro de Josafat rey de Judá, no mirara a tí, ni te viera.

14 И сказал Елисей: жив Господь Саваоф, пред Которым я стою! Если бы я не почитал Иосафата, царя Иудейского, то не взглянул бы на тебя и не видел бы тебя;

15. Mutta tuokaa minulle nyt kanteleensoittaja. Ja kun kanteleensoittaja soitti, niin Herran käsi laskeutui hänen päällensä,

15. Niin tuokaat nyt minulle kanteleensoittaja! Ja kuin soittaja soitti, tuli Herran käsi hänen päällensä;

15. Tuocat minulle candelen soittaja: ja cosca soittaja soitti tuli HERran käsi hänen päällens.

15 But now bring me a minstrel. And it happened, when the minstrel played, that the hand of Jehovah came upon him.

15. But now bring me a minstrel. And it came to pass, when the minstrel played, that the hand of the LORD came upon him.

15. So bringet mir nun einen Spielmann! Und da der Spielmann auf den Saiten spielte, kam die Hand des HERRN auf ihn,

15. Mas ahora traédme un tañedor. Y tañendo el tañedor, la mano de Jehová fué sobre él,

15 теперь позовите мне гуслиста. И когда гуслист играл на гуслях, тогдарука Господня коснулась Елисея,

16. ja hän sanoi: Näin sanoo Herra: Tehkää tämä laakso kuoppia täyteen.

16. Ja hän sanoi: näin sanoo Herra: tehkäät kuoppia sinne ja tänne tähän ojaan!

16. Ja hän sanoi: näitä sano HERra tehkät cuoppia sinne ja tänne tähän ojaan:

16 And he said, Jehovah says thus, Make this valley full of trenches.

16. And he said, Thus saith the LORD, Make this valley full of ditches.

16. und er sprach: So spricht der HERR: Macht hier und da Gräben an diesem Bach!

16. Y dijo: Así dijo Jehová: Hacéd en este valle muchas acequias;

16 и он сказал: так говорит Господь: делайте на сей долине рвы за рвами,

17. Sillä näin sanoo Herra: Te ette tule näkemään tuulta ettekä sadetta, ja kuitenkin tämä laakso tulee vettä täyteen; ja te saatte juoda, sekä te että teidän karjanne ja juhtanne.

17. Sillä näin sanoo Herra: ei teidän pidä tuulta eikä sadetta näkemän, ja kuitenkin pitää oja vedellä täytettämän: ja teidän pitää juoman, ja teidän karjanne ja teidän juhtanne.

17. Sillä näin sano HERra: ei teidän pidä tuulda ja sadetta näkemän ja cuitengin pitä ojan wettä täynnä oleman nijn että te ja teidän Canssan ja teidän juhtan saawat juoda.

17 For Jehovah says thus, You* will not see wind, neither will you* see rain, yet that valley will be filled with water and you* will drink, both you* and your* cattle and your* beasts.

17. For thus saith the LORD, Ye shall not see wind, neither shall ye see rain; yet that valley shall be filled with water, that ye may drink, both ye, and your cattle, and your beasts.

17. Denn so spricht der HERR: Ihr werdet keinen Wind noch Regen sehen; dennoch soll der Bach voll Wasser werden, daß ihr und euer Gesinde und euer Vieh trinket.

17. Porque Jehová ha dicho así: No veréis viento, ni veréis lluvia, y este valle será lleno de agua, y beberéis vosotros, y vuestras bestias y vuestros ganados.

17 ибо так говорит Господь: не увидите ветра и не увидите дождя, а долина сия наполнится водою, которую будете пить вы и мелкий и крупный скот ваш;

18. Mutta tämä on Herran silmissä pieni asia: hän antaa Mooabin teidän käsiinne,

18. Ja tämä on vähä Herran edessä; sillä hän antaa myös Moabilaiset teidän käsiinne;

18. Wielä sijttengin tämä on yxi pieni asia HERran edes waan hän anda myös Moabiterit teidän käsijn.

18 And this is but a light thing in the sight of Jehovah. He will also deliver the Moabites into your* hand.

18. And this is but a light thing in the sight of the LORD: he will deliver the Moabites also into your hand.

18. Dazu ist das ein Geringes vor dem HERRN; er wird auch die Moabiter in eure Hände geben,

18. Y esto es cosa ligera en los ojos de Jehová: dará también a los Moabitas en vuestras manos.

18 но этого мало пред очами Господа; Он и Моава предаст в рукиваши,

19. ja niin te valloitatte kaikki varustetut kaupungit ja kaikki valitut kaupungit, kaadatte kaikki hedelmäpuut, tukitte kaikki vesilähteet ja turmelette kivillä kaikki hyvät peltopalstat.

19. Niin että te lyötte kaikki vahvat kaupungit ja kaikki valitut kaupungit, ja te kaadatte kaikki hyvät puut ja tukitsette kaikki vesilähteet, ja te turmelette kaikki hyvät pellot kivillä.

19. Nijn että te lyötte caicki wahwat Caupungit ja caicki walitut Caupungit ja te caadatte caicki hywät puut ja tukidzette caicki wesilähtet ja turmelette caicki hywät pellot kiwillä.

19 And you* will kill* every fortified city and every choice city and will fell every good tree and stop all fountains of water and mar every good piece of land with stones.

19. And ye shall smite every fenced city, and every choice city, and shall fell every good tree, and stop all wells of water, and mar every good piece of land with stones.

19 и вы поразите все города укрепленные и все города главные, и все лучшие деревья срубите, и все источники водные запрудите, и все лучшие участки полевые испортите каменьями.

20. Ja katso, seuraavana aamuna, sinä hetkenä, jona ruokauhri uhrataan, tuli vettä Edomista päin, niin että maa tuli vettä täyteen.

21. Kun kaikki mooabilaiset kuulivat, että kuninkaat olivat lähteneet sotaan heitä vastaan, kutsuttiin koolle kaikki miekkaan vyöttäytyvät ja myös vanhemmat miehet, ja he asettuivat rajalle.

24. Mutta kun he tulivat Israelin leiriin, nousivat israelilaiset ja voittivat mooabilaiset, niin että nämä pakenivat heitä. Ja he hyökkäsivät maahan ja voittivat uudelleen mooabilaiset.

24 И пришли они к стану Израильскому. И встали Израильтяне и стали бить Моавитян, и те побежали от них, а они продолжали идти на них и бить Моавитян.

25. Ja he hävittivät kaupungit, kaikille hyville peltopalstoille heitti kukin heistä kiven, täyttäen ne; he tukkivat kaikki vesilähteet ja kaatoivat kaikki hedelmäpuut, niin että ainoastaan Kiir-Haresetissa jäivät kivet paikoilleen. Ja linkomiehet piirittivät kaupungin ja ampuivat sitä.

25. Ja kukistivat kaupungit, ja itsekukin heitti kivensä kaikkiin hyviin peltoihin ja täyttivät ne, ja tukitsivat kaikki vesilähteet, ja kaasivat kaikki hyvät puut, siihenasti että he ainoasti Hasaretin muuriin kiviä jättivät; ja he piirittivät sen lingoilla ja löivät sen.

25 And they beat down the cities. And on every good piece of land they cast every man his stone and filled it. And they stopped all the fountains of water and felled all the good trees, until in Kir-hareseth (only) they left the stones of it. However the slingers went about it and killed* it.

27. Niin hän otti poikansa, esikoisensa, joka oli tuleva kuninkaaksi hänen sijaansa, ja uhrasi hänet polttouhriksi muurilla. Silloin suuri viha kohtasi Israelia, niin että he lähtivät sieltä ja palasivat omaan maahansa.

27. Niin otti hän ensimäisen poikansa, joka hänen siaansa piti kuninkaaksi tuleman, ja uhrasi sen polttouhriksi muurin päällä. Silloin tuli Israel sangen vihaiseksi, niin että he menivät pois hänen tyköänsä ja palasivat omalle maallensa.

27 Then he took his eldest son who should have reigned instead of him and offered him for a burnt offering upon the wall. And there was great wrath against Israel and they departed from him and returned to their own land.

27. Da nahm er seinen ersten Sohn, der an seiner Statt sollte König werden, und opferte ihn zum Brandopfer auf der Mauer. Da kam ein großer Zorn über Israel, daß sie von ihm abzogen und kehrten wieder in ihr Land.
