1. Joosia oli kahdeksan vuoden vanha tullessaan kuninkaaksi, ja hän hallitsi Jerusalemissa kolmekymmentä yksi vuotta.

3. Kahdeksantena hallitusvuotenaan, ollessansa vielä nuorukainen, hän alkoi etsiä isänsä Daavidin Jumalaa; ja kahdentenatoista vuotena hän alkoi puhdistaa Juudaa ja Jerusalemia uhrikukkuloista ja asera-karsikoista sekä veistetyistä ja valetuista jumalankuvista.

3. Mutta kahdeksantena valtakuntansa vuonna, vielä nuorukaisna ollessansa rupesi hän etsimään isänsä Davidin Jumalaa, ja toisena vuonna toistakymmentä rupesi hän puhdistamaan Juudaa ja Jerusalemia korkeuksista ja metsistöistä, ja epäjumalista ja valetuista kuvista.

3 For in the eighth year of his reign, while he was yet young, he began to seek after the God of David his father. And in the twelfth year he began to purge Judah and Jerusalem from the high places and the Asherim {pole-images} and the graven images and the molten images.

3 В восьмой год царствования своего, будучи еще отроком, он начал прибегать к Богу Давида, отца своего, а в двенадцатый год начал очищать Иудею и Иерусалим от высот и посвященных дерев и от резных и литых кумиров.

4 И разрушили пред лицем его жертвенники Ваалов и статуи, возвышавшиеся над ними; и посвященные дерева он срубил, и резные и литые кумиры изломал и разбил в прах, и рассыпал на гробах тех, которые приносили им жертвы,

5 And he burnt the bones of the priests upon their altars and purged Judah and Jerusalem.

6. Manassen, Efraimin ja Simeonin kaupungeissa aina Naftaliin asti, yltympäri, hän heidän miekoillaan

6. Niin myös Manassen, Ephraimin ja Simeonin kaupungeissa, hamaan Naphtaliin asti, heidän korvessansa ympäristöltä.

6 And (so also) in the cities of Manasseh and Ephraim and Simeon, even to Naphtali, in their ruins all around.

7. kukisti alttarit, löi palasiksi ja rouhensi asera-karsikot ja jumalankuvat, ja hän hakkasi maahan kaikki auringonpatsaat koko Israelin maasta. Sitten hän palasi Jerusalemiin.

7 And he broke down the altars and beat the Asherim {pole-images} and the graven images into powder and hewed down all the sun-images throughout all the land of Israel and returned to Jerusalem.

7 он разрушил жертвенники и посвященные дерева, и кумиры разбил в прах, и все статуи сокрушил по всей земле Израильской, и возвратился в Иерусалим.

8. Kahdeksantenatoista hallitusvuotenaan, puhdistaessaan maata ja temppeliä, hän lähetti Saafanin, Asaljan pojan, kaupungin päällikön Maasejan ja kansleri Jooahin, Jooahaan pojan, korjaamaan Herran, hänen Jumalansa, temppeliä.

8 В восемнадцатый год царствования своего, по очищении земли и дома Божия , он послал Шафана, сына Ацалии, и Маасею градоначальника, и Иоаха, сына Иоахазова, дееписателя, возобновить дом Господа Бога своего.

9. Ja he tulivat ylimmäisen papin Hilkian luo ja jättivät Jumalan temppeliin tuodut rahat, joita leeviläiset, ovenvartijat, olivat koonneet Manassesta, Efraimista ja koko muusta Israelista ja koko Juudasta, Benjaminista ja Jerusalemin asukkailta.

9 And they came to Hilkiah the high priest and delivered the money that was brought into the house of God, which the Levites, the keepers of the threshold, had gathered by the hand of Manasseh and Ephraim and by all the remnant of Israel and by all Judah and Benjamin and by the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

9 И пришли они к Хелкии первосвященнику, и отдали серебро, принесенное в дом Божий, которое левиты, стоящие на страже у порога, собрали из рук Манассии и Ефрема и всех прочих Израильтян, и от всегоИуды и Вениамина, и от жителей Иерусалима,

10. He antoivat ne työnteettäjille, jotka oli pantu valvomaan töitä Herran temppelissä, ja nämä maksoivat niillä työmiehet, jotka työskentelivät Herran temppelissä, laittoivat ja korjasivat temppeliä;

10 And they delivered it into the hand of the workmen who had the oversight of the house of Jehovah. And the workmen who labored in the house of Jehovah gave it to mend and repair the house.

10. And they put it in the hand of the workmen that had the oversight of the house of the LORD, and they gave it to the workmen that wrought in the house of the LORD, to repair and amend the house:

10. und sie gaben's den Werkmeistern, die bestellt waren am Hause des HERRN. Die gaben's denen, die da arbeiteten am Hause des Herrn, wo es baufällig war, daß sie das Haus besserten,

10. Y diéronlo en mano de los que hacían la obra, que eran prepósitos en la casa de Jehová: los cuales lo dieron a los que hacían la obra, y trabajaban en la casa de Jehová, en reparar y en instaurar el templo.

10 и отдали в руки производителям работ, приставленным к дому Господню, чтоб они раздавали его работникам, которые работали в доме Господнем, при исправлении и возобновлении дома.

11. niistä annettiin myös puusepille ja rakentajille, että nämä ostaisivat hakattuja kiviä ja puutavaraa kiinnitysparruiksi ja kattohirsiksi niihin rakennuksiin, jotka Juudan kuninkaat olivat turmelleet.

11. Y dieron también a los oficiales y albañiles para que comprasen piedra de cantería, y madera para las comisuras, y para la trabazón de las casas, las cuales habían destruido los reyes de Judá.

11 И они раздавали плотникам и строителям на покупку тесаных камней и дерев для связей и для покрытия зданий, которые разорили цари Иудейские.

12. Nämä miehet toimivat siinä työssä luottamusmiehinä. Ja leeviläiset Jahat ja Obadja, Merarin jälkeläiset, ja Sakarja ja Mesullam, Kehatin jälkeläiset, oli pantu valvomaan ja johtamaan heitä, ja myös kaikki leeviläiset, jotka ymmärsivät soittimia.

12 And the men did the work faithfully. And the overseers of them were Jahath and Obadiah, the Levites, of the sons of Merari and Zechariah and Meshullam, of the sons of the Kohathites, to set it forward and (others of) the Levites, all who were skillful with instruments of music.

12. Und die Männer arbeiteten am Werk treulich. Und es waren über sie verordnet Jahath und Obadja, die Leviten aus den Kindern Meraris, Sacharja und Mesullam aus den Kindern der Kahathiten, das Werk zu treiben (und waren alle Leviten, die des Saitenspiels kundig waren).

12. Y estos varones trabajaban con fidelidad en la obra: y eran sus gobernadores Jahat, y Abdías, Levitas de los hijos de Merari: y Zacarías y Mosollam, de los hijos de Caat, que solicitasen la obra: y de los Levitas, todos los entendidos en instrumentos de música:

12 Люди сии действовали честно при работе, и для надзора над ними поставлены были Иахаф и Овадия, левиты из сыновей Мерариных, иЗахария и Мешуллам из сыновей Каафовых, и все левиты, умеющие играть на музыкальных орудиях.

13. He myöskin valvoivat taakankantajia ja johtivat kaikkia työmiehiä eri töissä. Leeviläisiä oli kirjureina, virkamiehinä ja ovenvartijoina.

13. Kantajain ja kaikkinaisen työn teettäjäin päällä kaikissa viroissa olivat Leviläisistä kirjoittajat, esimiehet ja ovenvartiat.

13 Also they were over the bearers of burdens and set forward all who did the work in every manner of service. And of the Levites there were scribes and officers and gatekeepers.

13 Они же были приставниками над носильщиками и наблюдали над всеми работниками при каждой работе; из левитов же были и писцы, и надзиратели, и привратники.

14. Kun he olivat viemässä ulos Herran temppeliin tuotuja rahoja, löysi pappi Hilkia Herran lain kirjan, joka oli annettu Mooseksen kautta.

14 And when they brought out the money that was brought into the house of Jehovah, Hilkiah the priest found the book of the law of Jehovah (given) by Moses.

14. Y como sacaron el dinero que había sido metido en la casa de Jehová, Helcías el sacerdote halló el libro de la ley de Jehová dada por mano de Moisés.

14 Когда вынимали они серебро, принесенное в дом Господень, тогда Хелкия священник нашел книгу закона Господня, данную рукою Моисея.

15. Ja Hilkia lausui ja sanoi kirjuri Saafanille: Minä löysin Herran temppelistä lain kirjan. Ja Hilkia antoi kirjan Saafanille.

15. Ja Hilkia vastasi ja sanoi Saphanille kirjoittajalle: minä löysin lakikirjan Herran huoneesta; ja Hilkia antoi kirjan Saphanille.

15 And Hilkiah answered and said to Shaphan the scribe, I have found the book of the law in the house of Jehovah. And Hilkiah delivered the book to Shaphan.

15. Und Hilkia antwortete und sprach zu Saphan, dem Schreiber: Ich habe das Gesetzbuch gefunden im Hause des HERRN. Und Hilkia gab das Buch Saphan.

15. Y respondiendo Helcías, dijo a Safán escriba: Yo he hallado el libro de la ley en la casa de Jehová. Y dió Helcías el libro a Safán.

15 И начал Хелкия, и сказал Шафану писцу: книгузакона нашел я в доме Господнем. И подал Хелкия ту книгу Шафану.

16. Saafan vei kirjan kuninkaalle ja teki lisäksi kuninkaalle selon asiasta, sanoen: Kaikki, mitä annettiin palvelijaisi tehtäväksi, he ovat tehneet:

16 And Shaphan carried the book to the king and moreover brought back word to the king, saying, All that was committed to your servants, they are doing.

16. Saphan aber brachte es zum König und gab dem König Bericht und sprach: Alles, was unter die Hände deiner Knechte gegeben ist, das machen sie.

16. Y Safán lo llevó al rey, y le contó el negocio, diciendo: Tus siervos han cumplido todo lo que les fué dado a cargo.

16 И понес Шафан книгу к царю, и принес при этом царю известие: все, что поручено рабам твоим, они делают;

27 because your heart was tender and you humbled yourself before God when you heard his words against this place and against the inhabitants of it and have humbled yourself before me and have torn your clothes and wept before me, I also have heard you, says Jehovah.

33. Und Josia tat weg alle Greuel aus allen Landen der Kinder Israel und schaffte, daß alle, die in Israel gefunden wurden, dem HERRN, ihrem Gott, dienten. Solange Josia lebte, wichen sie nicht von dem HERRN, ihrer Väter Gott.

33 И изверг Иосия все мерзости из всех земель, которые у сынов Израилевых, и повелелвсем, находившимся в земле Израилевой служить Господу Богу своему. И во все дни жизни его они не отступали от Господа Бога отцов своих.
